The room was very clean however there was no iron or coffee in the room had to got o office to get them and later that evening when I went to iron, it didn't work. Air conditioner would not stay on and it was warm that night. Ok to sleep for a night but wouldn't go back

Great hotel for the price. Spent 2 nights during a trip to Memphis, didn't spend much time in hotel. Would stay again for quick trips, but not for leisure travels longer than 2 nights.

Unsure of area & I asked a local police officer where to stay that would be safe. He recommended this hotel. Surprisingly clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast.

The manager was wonderful, room was beautifully clean with the most comfortable bed. I explained I had to leave my Mother in the room who is handicapped while I went to an appointment and the manager kept an eye on her. I had the most wonderful stay and at night everything was lovely and quiet. I would most certainly stay there again

I was here for Elvis Week 2012, and my girlfriend and I stayed here. We had a huge room, that was clean, secure, and fine. I don't really have any complaints. The breakfast was great for my needs, and overall this hotel is great. Go into it not expecting The Ritz or a fleabag motel and you'll be very happy!

Requested and received a non-smoking room, but the amount of smoke that came in from the corridor was excessive. The hotel is older with some upgrades (marble counter in sink, shower curtain etc.). The overall maintenance was adequate but incomplete with patched holes in the bathroom not painted. The security on the doors was not as good as a female […] traveler might prefer. The room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable, and several options for dining were available in the near vicinity. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The continental breakfast included biscuits and gravy and waffles. For coffee drinkers - only powdered creamer, but the milk for the cereal worked in its place. Overall would recommend unless you are seriously sensitive to cigarette smoke. Read more

Overall the hotel was a great choice. It was clean enough (perhaps needs new carpeting) and modern. The exterior needs some care. The staff did a good job to make certain the rooms were refreshed but could use a training in being a wee bit friendlier. Heavy smokers smoking outside our bedroom and drinking beer outside our room where we had kids. They left half-drank bottles of beer all over outside. In breakfast area, it was overly hot. Juice was sour and food and quantity was mediocre. Not enough seating for folks.

If you are traveling alone and just need a place to sleep this is the place for you. If you are traveling with your family, think about it. The hotel itself was clean. The person at the front gave us our room and we went to check it out. We were put on the back of the hotel, where approx. 8 men were drinking and hanging out in the parking lot. We had to change rooms because air-conditioner wasn't working. We checked in put stuff in room...turned on air... and left for softball game...Came back that night...Room was bout 90 degrees. They gave another room but seemed to be worried if we messed up anything. The next room looked like it hadn't been throughly cleaned in a while.

I've tried other places in Memphis, but I seem to be drawn back to this Econo Lodge. The desk staff is great, speeding up housekeeping when I showed up a bit before check in time. Housekeeping jumped from the room that they were cleaning to the one the desk put me in and finished the room quickly. The only flaw was some streaks on the mirror, otherwise […] the room was clean and ready for me. The pool was open, and clean, and it is one of the two main attractions at this place. The internet connection is the other, having no issues. Most other places I've stayed had free 'high speed' internet someplace in their hotel, just not in my room. Out of six trips to Memphis I've stayed here four of the times, and enjoyed it. The downtown Econo Lodge was okay, but the atmosphere wasn't as nice as this one. Read more

Was allright for the price, and only stayed 1 night. Bathroom tiny, but good places to eat and a store right next door, not a great neighborhood, wouldn't go out at night but over all not bad for a nights stay

This is a reasonable hotel for the money. It is an older hotel but it is decently maintained and clean. The neighborhood is retail, restaurants, hotels, convenience stores, etc., and seemed safe. In addition to the the normal "continental breakfast" fare they also had biscuits and gravey (I did not try them) and a waffle maker for fresh waffles. The […] waffles were actually quite good. The only detraction was hotel service. Even though we put out a do not disturb sign the cleaning staff knocked on the door with what sounded like a key and yelled "room service" several times on two of the mornings. One morning they shoved towels through the door the next we did not answer the door. The beds were not changed either day. To be fair it was around 11:00 but there were three of us sharing the bathroom and we were after all on vacation. Upon checkout we were told if you don't succomb to the cleaning lady banging and yelling you can call down later and they will come and make the beds. Flat screen tv, great bed and blankets, etc. Great bathroom, everything was really, really impressive in the room. A couch, free wifi, anything you could want really. The room was relatively clean from what I could tell. It could have really used more pillows or at least pillows that were thick and dense enough to support the human head. No alarm clock in our room. The shower curtain pole was partially broken, which kept the curtain from staying closed all the way. Suppose for a quick stay I didn't mind that half […] the bathroom would get wet when you showered. Oh and the ceiling ventilation fan was hanging from the ceiling a bit. First of all, the location and appearance of this hotel was not appealing. The parking lot seemed dangerous because there was not sufficient lighting. When walking in the hallway toward room, the place looked like it was about to fall apart. There were scratches and dents in the doors and walls. The carpet was dingy. We were driving 8 hours overnight so we decided to stop. Hotels.com over the phone was extremely helpful last minute. I picked this hotel briefly online through my phone because we had a free night stay from all of our hotel welcome rewards. The clerk was okay at check-in. I could barely hear him as well as he was not that friendly. I know it was late […] at night but he could have been a little nicer. The room was really nice and big however. The a/c was either broken or we could not figure out the timer on it. The bathroom was okay except there was a bar of soap that was left from the last guest. It was okay considering this was a quick overnight stay for us to get home. I did it find it odd there was not a coffee maker yet there was a fridge and a microwave. Read more
