Older hotel needs some work. breakfast was good. Close to VRE train station. Need to better maintain coffee in lobby.

While the staff of the hotel was friendly,& the breakfast was tasty. I ended up cleaning the room. especially the bathroom. The hotel is older and needs updating. The climate control in the room was broken and took some time to work.

First impressions are that the hotel needs to be updated. The sink was scratched and the faucet difficult to use but it was clean and quiet and the breakfast was as advertised. We wanted to check out a day early and they refunded the extra day to Hotel.com so that we could get our money back. I would go back because of their excellent management.

Not a pleasant stay. Rooms, lobby, etc. could use a facelift. When hotels/motels go from being smoking to non-smoking, if they don't replace carpet/wallpaper and draperies, the smell stays, which it was very apparent. Nice people working there, but the hotel itself is not worth coming back for.

I was in the DC area for two nights on business. My room was small but comfortable. I didn't spend much time in my room, so it was just what I was looking for. The desk was a nice touch and the wireless internet worked perfectly. The staff was pleasant. Nothing fancy, but had everything I needed.

First the good: Staff was friendly. Location was handy. Breakfast was adequate for price of room. Lots of Bad: 1) Room 113 ....carpet on the floor felt sticky. I believe they shampoo'd it but failed to adequately remove the soap. 2) Bathroom fan didn't work (in Humid VA that is a problem). 3) Alarm outside the door in hallway repeatedly went off with […] three sharp screaches...at random times. 4) Sheets had rips/stains but were clean. This was not a very pleasant experience. While the standards were there, I did find several roaches that were in the bathroom and the bath tub had not been cleaned properly. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.

The pet fee is $20 per pet with a statement about being charged $600 if there is any sign of the pet. We specifically chose this hotel because it was listed as pet friendly and even called to verify, but were not told until we checked in about the $20 per pet fee and potential cleaning fee. All staff were helpful and courteous. Room location on 1st floor for me, was perfect. Clean & inviting. Wanted info for a restaurant I could bring food back to my room, so I asked a front desk. They gave me a menu for one that would deliver to save me the trouble of going out. I really appreciated this as I had just driven all day from NJ. The restaurant […] food was delivered promptly and was delicious. Breakfast was delicious. The lady in charge was very helpful when I needed ice for my tea, and went to the kitchen area and brought me some. It's the little things that count. The entrance was not very welcoming, the floors were dirty and the room was in need of major repairs. The air condition unit came on every 5 minutes and they place a portable heater in the room to counter the air conditioner.

I am a smoker and expect smoking sections of hotels to be smelly, but even I could hardly stand the smell. I had to wash everything I brought. The room was suspiciously damp (bed, chairs, carpet...) and I walked across the carpet in amy barefeet and my feet were BLACK! The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The heat worked well and heated the room quickly. The bed was as comfortable as any hotel bed. The continental breakfast was fabulous! They offered eggs, sausage and waffles in addition to all of the other usual breakfast stuff.
