Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.
Location.
Econo Lodge is situated in the heart of Surrey and regional attractions include White Rock Pier, Metropolis at Metrotown, and Simon Fraser University.
Hotel Features.
The hotel offers a restaurant. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. Additional amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, room service (during limited hours), and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Complimentary self parking is available onsite for guests.
Guestrooms.

"Great for price!"
Inexpensive for Vancouver area; iron, hair dryer, quiet, clean, quality sheets, coffee in room, friendly staff-- great room. No breakfast.

Rooms were a bit "tired" and no elevator. Toilet didn't flush with the handle, had to lift the lid and flush it manually.

"Nice Little Hotel in Surrey"
This is a nice little hotel for half the price of similar hotels in Vancouver. It's a 10 minute drive to the Sky Train Station and a 15 minute drive to the freeway. It takes about an hour to get to Vancouver whether you travel by car or Sky Train so be aware of that when you book. "Adequate motel just north of the border"
A cheap motel that serves its purpose for those with a car who can drive to and park at one of the SkyTrain park and ride stations nearby (by car) in order to travel into Vancouver proper.
"If you like the smell of Cigarettes"
Every where you walked in this hotel it smelled like cigarettes. They said my room was smoke free. No one was smoking in it at the time I was in it, but the draft that came from the door allowed smoke in all night long. "Econo lodge , king george hwy vamcouver b.c. canad"
clean , comforable , easy to find , couple of plazas with eateries nearby , staff pleasant. Overall good value for the price and will stay there again. I only need a clean comforabkle bed which I got . Good shower with lots of towels , soap and shampoo. No pool or gym but I am working and need a place to sleep and be comfortable.

The hotel room is very well furnished, clean, comfortable bed with a flat screen TV. Service at reception was SLOW - It took 11 minutes to check in without anyone in line.

"Best Motel to Stay in Vancouver"
Ignore the other reviews. We stayed at the 2nd cheapest hotel in all of Vancouver and it was great. Great neighbourhood and great service. Everything in the hotel was brand new. Highly recommended. Only con is that its about an hour's drive away from downtown Vancouver. But if you got a car that shouldn't be much of a problem.

I found the room to be really quite good for the price. We found a really good restaurant just 8 blocks from the Econo Lodge. Staff was courtesy. The only thing that would have improved the room was a small fridge vs. having to use ice to keep drinks cold. We found the location to be good and convenient. I would recommend it.

Comfortable and very affordable hotel in Burnaby. Room was very well appointed, had everything you may wish. Location is somewhat far from the Vancouver Center, but Burnaby also provides interesting places closeby.

I would go out of your way to make sure maps are updated for this location, because some don't show it at the correct address and it can be difficult to find. Some of the staff are great, while others are not as reliable.

We just wanted an overnight accommodation. For the price, you get what you pay. It is clean and convenient to all the areas. We would recommend this hotel to budget conscious folks.

Decent place for the price ,I would not stay here for more than a couple of days, or if your spending a lot of time in your room, but place was clean, and employees were friendly. I would stay again for a one nighter.
My flight was late getting into Vancouver, so it was about 1:00am in the morning when I finally arrived at the hotel, I was almost an hour trying to get someone to let me in. Finally I had to call (from an Ontario cell phone) to the lobby to wake the person up to let me in. Then the check in was long because they wanted to charge me and I knew I had […] already paid. Finally I said just cancel it and I will go somewhere else, then he let me into my room at around 3:00am and said we could work it out in the morning. When I got my 7:00am wake-up call I was relieved to find out that someone else was at the desk and knew what was going on. One other complain I had was when I went to my room, lightbulbs were missing out of the lights. I only had one lamp working - but heck after standing outside for over an hour trying to get in and at 3:00am - who really cares at that point! Read more

"Hotel propre chambre petite mais eloigne de tout"
2 grand lits mais chambre petite. Hotel situe sur une rue commercante eloigne du centre de vancouver et a 30 min du port pour aller a victoria.
