"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!

"Close enough to everything, far enough for quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Very pleasant. We stayed directly in temple bar 3 nights before and wanted one night of quiet before we left. Receptionist was extremely helpful and even mailed a postcard for me so I wouldn't have to walk. Would stay again.

"Excellent Location! Wonderful breakfast Buffet"
Excellent Stay overall. We flew in early in the morning and they were able to check us in early so we could rest after a long flight. Staff were friendly, prompt and helpful. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Initially I was hoping for a room with a street / Liffey view, but a view of the courtyard was fine, as it was quiet at night. Room was as expected […] when we booked online; non-smoking with double bed. Unbeatable location, we could walk to everything. Will stay here again Read more
"A modern and comfortable hotel downtown"
The hotel is very well located in the northern part of the city, short walking distance to Connolly street, Temple Bar where nightlife happens. Very adequate for shopping. The hotel is very modern, with comfortable room and good size bathroom, but mattress was a little bit lumpy, it's time to be replaced.
"Had to change rooms"
The entire floor of my hotel smelled like smoke. Someone had been smoking in one of the rooms and I could smell it through the vents. I had previously changed rooms, but the hotel did not investigate the source of the odor. When they placed me in another room on the same floor I was too exhausted to change again, as I had come in for a short trip. The […] shower door felt likely to fall off and the lighting in the room was very low, difficult to see. Read more
"One day in Dublin."
We had a wonderful day in Dublin. The location of the Morrison was excellent being across the channel from the Temple Bar and the many other interesting sites in Dublin. We could walk to Trinity College. Great location if you only have a day in Dublin and want to see a lot without having to use the buses and cabs.
"Decent value and location for the price"
Room was a bit small, but comfortable. Toilet wasnt easy to flush, had a 'push' button built into the wall, really didnt work right, had to be pushed with just the right amount of force and speed. Otherwise the proximity to Temple Bar without all the noise was a plus.
"Near city centre, but without the fuss"
Great location! Just north if Liffey river. Everything is in walking distance, without the loudness of Temple Bar Area.

"Morrison Hotel, Dublin"
Great location, short walk to Temple Bar and many Dublin attractions. I used the fitness center and found it was clean and easily accessible. Overall the hotel was very good and I would stay again if given the opportunity.

"Nice Ireland hotel"
This place was amazing. The only thing I have to say bad about it is the water in the bath tub. The water started out clear then would change to a mud color then clear again, the muddy again.
"Excellent Location, Nice Hotel, Friendly Staff"
I spent two nights here. It's in an excellent location for walking to see the sights and visiting Temple Bar. The hotel is comfortable, has a nice bar downstairs and the staff is friendly. I'd highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.
"Morrison Hotel - near perfect for Dublin visit"
Rate was reasonable, a good value. Room was comfortable, nice beds, clean bathroom with tub. Location is ideal. On the Liffey River just a short walk to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Dublin Castle. St. Patricks Cathedral is not too far away. Tram stops are nearby. Breakfast in the hotel is very good. No charge for WiFi Internet access. Employees at hotel […] desk were kind and helpful. In my opinion it is a solid four star hotel. Read more

"Morrison Hotel, Downtown Dublin Ireland"
The hotel was fine. I would NOT consider it a 5 star hotel. We had to drive around the block 3 times to find it, as the signage is not prominent. It was nice in that it was close to everything downtown. The hotel was clean. Parking is the big watch out. We had to park at a nearby parking garage, but they don't open until 7:00 am on weekdays and 9:00 […] am on Sunday and you can't get your car out without paying a 50 Euro surcharge. Read more

"Swank!"
My friend and I stayed at the Morrison on our trip to Dublin and loved it. The hotel is a bit dark, but that adds to the elegance. The room was on the small side, but it was comfortable. My only complaint is that "double room" in Dublin means two twin beds rather than two double beds, though we knew this going in. Overall, we got a great deal on one […] of the nicest (and newest) hotels in Dublin. Read more
"Great Hotel"
This was a great hotel to start our 2 week trip to Europe. The location was right across the river from the Temple Bar area, which was very convenient. The rooms were great and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
"would stay again!"
very convenient location... close walking didtance to sights also modern style hotels with great resturant and bar.
"Great Location"
Great Location, 2 minute walk to Temple Bar Area, just across the bridge. 3 minute walk to shopping areas.
"The Morrison/Dublin - fine hotel"
The staff was accommodating, the room was lovely, and the location was convenient.
"Best hotel in Dublin!"
What a pleasure finding a hotel like this in the heart of Dublin. Great staff; great room; convenient, quiet and clean. Walking distance to everything. This is our place to stay when we visit Dublin-no doubt!
"Definitely stay at the Morrison on Quay Ormond!"
We only had 48 hours in Dublin, and are SO glad we stayed at the Morrison. The hotel was literally steps from the famed Temple Bar area so location was sublime. Hotel was stylish and clean and the staff was friendly. Upstairs the hallways are a little dark, which I know is part of the ambiance, but if you're older or have sight issues, this may pose […] a problem. Otherwise, rooms were roomy and minimalistically designed. Loved it! Read more
"Good All Around"
The room wasn't spectacular, but well above he basic hotel rooms you normally see in Europe. Great service. Great location.
"Great room, staff and location"
The location is ideal. Just across the river from Temple Bar and just up the street from an amazing restaurant and nightclub called The Church (make sure you check it out). The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help in every way they could. The only shortcoming is the lighting in the bathroom. It was terrible. Hard to see to shave and […] my wife hated it. Otherwise nothing but great things to say. Read more
"Morrison Hotel"
Beautiful decor and lobby. Has posh, trendy feel to it. Room layout was slightly cramped upon first walking into the room, there was a huge closet which made it difficult to move the luggage in, but other than that it was clean and comfortable. Staff was very professional. Hotel lobby bar seems to attract an after work crowd looking for a trendier cocktail […] and atmosphere than what the traditional pubs have to offer. Location is just north of Temple Bar, literally across the bridge so very convenient. Area surrounding hotel was fine, but not as exciting to me as the Grafton Street area which I preferred. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially at the very reasonable rate that we got the room at online. Good pick, glad we stayed there! Read more

"New but lacking"
New hotel but lacking in some basics like electrical outlets in the bathroom and above counters, had to unplug the TV in order to plug in a blow dryer or tea pot or phone charger. Front desk staff made us feel like they were doing us a favor by checking us in, no "welcome" or "how was your stay?" when leaving. Also Halo restaurant was closed for private […] bookings our whole stay, dissapointing. Great location just don't expect much. Read more

"LOVED THIS HOTEL!"
We stayed at the Morrison for 2 nights and LOVED it! It is so close to the Temple Bar area that we never had to search for a place to eat or for entertainment. It's also very close to the Hop on, Hop off bus, which we used as much as we could. The hotel staff were SO friendly and the hotel has an awesome swanky bar in the lobby. It was such a great […] surprise to find a hotel like this for the price that we found. I guess traveling on Easter Monday has its advantages. ;) Read more
"Great!"
Really beautiful inside. Good size room. Very clean. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Awesome location across river from Temple Bar.
"Great location and price"
We stayed here for a few nights over the New Year and our stay was perfect. If you are looking for a hotel with a perfect location adn a great price this is it. You are right by temple bar and can walk to almost everything including the Guiness Brewery. My wife and I both decided that when we come back we r going to stay here again for sure. Hotel rooms […] were very n ice and the staff was very friendly with great reccomendation on different types of restaruants and pubs. Right on the Liffy as well Read more
"Morrison Hotel in Dublin-near important theaters,"
Modernized design but inadequate lighting in the rooms. Couldn't read, and shaving was an adventure. Still being renovated. A computer was installed in the lobby the night before we left. Also service personnel were clueless but very pleasant and willing to please. Overall a bit too cutesy for my taste.

"Hotel is a MUST"
One of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel. The staff was amazing, rooms clean, comfortable, and a great location. I cannot reccomend this place enough. Will definitely be back.
"Morrison Hotel in Dublin"
Great Location! The hotel was just what I was looking for at the price. Very close to everything, but just enough removed to be a bit quiter than being in the Temple Bar area. It is literally a 60 second walk across a pedestrian bridge over the LIffey. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were small but sufficient. Only three complaints […] were that the bed was a bit hard, some finishes were a bit tired, and no WIFI in the room. They had a cable connection for internet in the room but I couldn't get it to work. The WIFI in the lobby worked OK, but not very convenient. They should expand it to the rest of the hotel. I would definately stay there again and would recommend it. Read more

"Nice, modern hotel"
Morrison has a great location right on the river, making much of Dublin easily walkable. Parking in the mall lot is easy and very close. Rooms are big enough with comfortable furniture and beds. Hotel lobby is lively with a good bar and many people around. The staff was very friendly from check in to check out. Overall a great stay and I would definitely […] book again. Read more

"Great Hotel"
Perfect location. A block away from the Temple Bar but far enough from the noise. Service was excellent. From the start, the staff was extremely helpful. They assisted with my suitcases from the car and arranged my reservation to an upscale restaurant. Modern decor with great breakfast buffet. Parking is across the hotel and had decent rates. Would […] repeat a stay here in the future. Read more

"Still hip, but starting to fray"
Spent two nights here in mid-August. Excellent location- fairly central to all the sights and close to fine array of restaurants and cafes. Requested room overlooking the river Liffey. Rooms a little worn. Queen bed actually two twins put together- not particularly comfortable. Windows do open. Hallways quiet. Restaurant not open- undergoing remodeling. […] Courtyard was closed. Extremely helpful front desk staff. Read more
"Hotel Morrison - good value"
The Morrison is very conveniently placed at the River Liffey and just a short walk over the Ha' Penny bridge to Temple Bar area. Fairly quiet at night. It is walking distance to many sights such as Dublin Castle. It is a couple of short blocks from Henry Street shopping (which is closed to traffic) where you can buy everything. The staff were very pleasant […] and helpful. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip. Our first room was small, not much space left around the bed for luggage but our second room was quite comfortable. The rooms could use some maintenance in terms of looks, e.g. a few of our tiles were coming loose in the shower, but nothing to hinder our stay. Everything was quite clean. I understand from the locals there have been some financial issues but again it didn't affect our stay. Read more
"EXCELLENT Hotel across the river from Temple Bar"
Highly recommend the Morrison for world-class accommodations and service. I am picky and expect alot when I travel; from the excellent location to the service to the rooms, I was completely satisfied.
"Morrison Hote Dublin - Stay Away!"
This hotel is no longer a 4 star establishment! The hotel is shabby and not particularly well maintained--spotted carpets, scuffed walls, worn out draperies. There is a major problem with the electronic door locks. We came in around midnight our first night and our card key would not open the door. The night manager (who was excellent) had to break […] down the door and move us to another room (bigger/better)... Other than that manager, no one said a word...no apology, no nothing. This hotel is a dump...stay away! Read more

"Long weekend stay"
Room was comfortable and the technology provided for in-room use was convenient. Across the River Liffey from Temple Bar, so much quieter and fewer tourists. Still a walkable distance from many museums (including Trinity College and the Writers museum, both worth their admission fees). Staff was very helpful and knew Dublin well. Easily accessible from […] the airport via Dublinbus. Several main bus routes ran near the hotel as well as the Luas redline (lightrail system). Read more
"Location! Location! Location!"
Perfect location as a base to visit Dublin. Quiet location but just a short walk over a bridge to all the action.
"The Morrison is in a great place"
The Morrison is in a great location. We were able to see all the sites in Dublin. We also had a very nice room with all the usual amentities. We did not have a breakfast package, but there was a nice place across the street.
