We stayed at multiple 5 star hotels throughout our stay in the French Riviera. All of them, with the exception of this hotel, lived up to or exceeded our expectations. This hotel had horrible access, which forced you to drive about 7 km out of the way, make a u-turn on the freeway and come back to exit. Furthermore, the resort was 5 star, per the website. […] The only thing 5 star about this hotel was the view. A view alone does not make for 5 star accommodations. The furniture and decor were from the 1980's and the bed was old and uncomfortable. Very disappointed, so much so, that we booked another room elsewhere. Stunning views of Monte Carlo...wonderful hotel and staff. Hotel Shuttle makes it a must for going back and forth downtown or else it is dreadful finding parking. The breakfast is the only negative at this hotel, for us. I would say a bit expensive for what is served. Otherwise this hotel gets very high marks.

I have traveled all over the world. This place I would recommend since its breathtaking. The comlimentary shuttle was so helpful. The staff was professional. It should be on someone's "bucket list!" It was a great experience, the staff was great, the location of the hotel at first I thought it was far from Monaco, but far jus for a couple of miles and when i got into the room it was a surprise to see the great view from the balcony, it was amazing. I will go again for sure.

I went to Vista Palace on a dream vacation to the French Riviera with my boyfriend and left very disappointed. Our room had flooded upon our arrival so we were given another room. However shortly after there was no water, then no hot water, then brown rusty water. To top it off the front desk clerks were not helpful in providing restaurant suggestions […] or any other suggestions for that matter. From the panoramic view of the Cote d'Zur, the view of Monaco and the parking lot filled with beautiful cars, you will feel like you are rich and famous. It is expensive but what an experience. There is a shuttle to and from Monte Carlo that runs every hour. Menton and Eze (not to be missed) are easy to get to.

Pulling up to the hotel was hair-raising as roads are narrow, winding and there was hardly any place to park (the direction to the parking lot for the hotel isn't clearly demarcated). That aside, we were well received. The decor in the room is a bit dated but all the more charming because of this. The room itself is comfortable and the view is simply […] sublime. The staff are charming and very helpful. We had a wonderful time lazing pool-side and in the garden. The pool isn't large but is more than sufficient as guests don't tend to pile into it, and you can't argue with that panoramic view! Pool-side service from Steven was delightful and we had some tasty cocktails and snacks. One of our only complaints was that there was someone nearby using a circular saw intermittently so the noise was quite irritating. At 7pm the seating is re-arranged so we felt we couldn't lay by the pool much longer which we didn't like. The complimentary shuttle service into Monte Carlo is great and seeing the chaos of the downtown area reassured us of our decision to stay at Vista Palace rather than downtown. We had a meal in the hotel's restaurant which was wonderful, and also pool-side which was very good as well. We did not take the time to go to the hotel's private beach but inquired regarding it. Shuttle service to the beach is complimentary but there is a surcharge of 20 euro if you wish to use a chaise longue and umbrella. All in all we had a delightful stay and would gladly stay there again! Read more

The view was outstanding!!! The pool and dining experience were great. But our room was very tired. Shower didn't work well, outside awning was broken and bedside lights didn't work. We were also left in town and had to call the hotel to get picked up. Very disappointing.

Vi valde detta hotell i första hand beroende på läget. Det var liksom *utkastat* på en klippa högt upp med magnifik utsikt. Viktigt var också andra resenärers kommentarer gällande avskildhet och servicen med minibuss som man bokade i receptionen med avgångar varje timme till Monaco och hemresa varje halvtimme. Denna service var Guld värd då det inte […] för oss var ett alternativ att bo i Monaco 'staden som aldrig sover'. Bra att veta är att det finns inget supermarket i närheten utan det närmaste låg vid marinan och med planering så handlar man på sig det man önskar till rummet redan dag 1 för att rädda plånboken. Boka rum med 'balkong' (litet och trångt men vilken utsikt) Hotellet är i renoveringsbehov helt klart men det faller i glömska då har så många andra positiva intryck. Det fanns gym och spa som var helt okey. En swimmingpool ingick i paketet och den placeringen med utsikten gör att man bara njuter. Personalen var trevlig och ställde upp om man hade frågor som berörde hotellet. Shoppingen var inte helt lätt att hitta men det är bara att fråga sig fram. Monaco som plats som den mytomspunna historien är i allra högsta grad helt korrekt. Allt är 'galet' med all lyx där man får njuta av andra människors framgång. Om man vill promenera så rekommenderas mjuka skor t.ex. gympaskor då det är kuperat minst sagt. Read more
