"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

"Pan Pacifica 'Sails' Hotel"
Great place to stay, but $50 is a bit steep for even a stellar Breakfast buffet; but an inexpensive alternative is available in the food court tunnel leaving below the lobby. Health club, pool, steam sauna, etc. are world class. Easy call for a late checkout, easy upgrades, etc. World class service. Be sure to consider a trip to the Vancouver Anthropology […] Museum if you're just visiting BC - it has a world of wonderful NW Native and First American artwork, and much from around the world too. "OK hotel with good location - stunning view"
Everything was fine, the kids loved the outdoor pool (we went in late December but the outdoor pool was heated). BUT I parked less than 24 hour in the parking lot under the Hotel - it was 55 dollars!!

"expensive"
Too many extra charge. The room is quite small for what I pay for. But, it is pretty clean, and the staff is very nice too.
"the pan pacific -a great water view"
a must for dinner, great food
LOVED THE LOCATION QUALITY, ETC BUT IT WAS A LITTLE PRICEY. NEXT TIME I WILL CHECK OTHER HOTELS NEARBY FOR RATES.
"Pan Pacific Over-Rated"
We would not stay here again. Except for the porters, who were terrific, the employees were sullen and lied rather than take responsibility for their mistakes. I don't think morale is good at the hotel and the employees do not seem to like serving the guests. Perhaps they are jaded from catering to the constant cruise ship business. The restaurant food […] was mediocre. The decor was cheap modern and minimalist. There was a general skimping on all things, including linens. For the price, not up to par. We did not feel comfortable nor cared for at this hotel. I should say the concierge staff was helpful. No problem there. Read more
"Great location and amenities"
The Pan Pacific is a tremendous location for accessing all of Vancouver, especially all the buses, charters, boat trips, etc. Also (relatively) close to Stanley Park (20 min. walk) and many good restaurants. Restaurant on site is expensive, but not outrageously so. Room was a little disappointing for the pretty penny we paid. It was a very nice room […] but not anything outstanding. I guess you're paying for location and view. Services were very good. I would highly recommend, but don't expect a luxurious room. Read more
closest Hotel to Cruise Terminal
"Pan Pacific Vancouver: convenient to cruise ships"
We chose this hotel because of the convenience to the cruise ship terminal. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The bellman gave good tips about getting to the cruise terminal early, which saved us time embarking.
"Pan Pacific Vancouver: convenient to cruise ships"
We chose this hotel primarily for the convenience to the cruise ship terminal. When our ship docked in the morning it was wonderful to drop our bags with the bellman and just take an elevator up to the lobby. We were able to check in a bit early and were pleased with the harbor view rooms, an upgrade from the city view that we were expecting.
"The place to stay when taking a cruise"
The location of the Pan Pacific is ideal when taking a cruise. We arrived in Vancouver a day early walked around the wharf area, several nice restaurants close by. Left on our cruise to Alaska. A great time was had by all.
"Pan Pacific Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada"
Although this hotel is a large convention hotel, we found it to be fantastic with an extremely accommodating staff that made us feel as if we were staying in a small boutique hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a fantastic view! The Five Sails Restaurant within the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Should we return to Vancouver, we would certainly […] stay at the Pan Pacific. Read more

"Pan Pacific - Vancouver"
Hotel rooms are very spacious including the bathroom (first time a saw a personal scale in a bathroom too). Four people could easily stay in one room. My kids loved the big screen TV as well. Only quality improvement I noticed was the food at the hotel restaurant - that does not go well with a hig quality hotel.
"Beautiful view of the harbor"
Hotel was very convenient to resturants and other attractions in Vancouver. Rooms are spacious. Pool and hot tub are very nice. Beautiful view of the Vancouver harbor. Concierge was very helpful. Nice to have a Starbucks right outside the hotel. The Big Bus was a great way to view the city in a short amount of time.
"Pan Pacific Hotel"
What a great hotel in a great location of Vancover. The hotel is high class with a great staff, polite and friendly in every way. We liked being right on the edge of the water with a cruise ship docking on each side. If you are cruising, then take advantage of the luggage service from your hotel room to your ship's room. Very convenient. If you fly […] into YVR take a skytrain ride via Canada Line to the Waterfront station whick is only 2.5 short blocks to Pan Pacific. We enjoyed taking a Big Bus tour around Vancover including a one hour ride around Stanley Park. How beautiful. Read more

"Great Deal for Vancouver Hotel"
I got a great deal from Hotels.com, that is relative to similar hotels in Vancouver. The room was great. All rooms have a fantastic view of the bay, mountains, departing cruises, and the seaplane service. The location is fantastic. You can walk along the bay to Stanley Park or rent a bicycle to tour the park. Even downtown is not a hard walk, perhaps […] 15 minutes. We walked downtown and took the "aquabus" to Granville Island for a neat afternoon. All in all it was a good deal, keeping in mind that it is a city and stuff is expensive. Read more
"The Hotel Before/After Your Cruise"
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We arrived 2 days early for our Alaskan cruise. The hotel is right above the cruise terminal. It is also within walking distance of Stanley Park, Chinatown, and Gastown. Aaron, the bellhop, was very knowledgable about the surrounding area and he gave us many tips for our walking tours. There is a rail line […] from the airport to within 50yds of the hotel (saves some cab fare), There is nothing not to like about the property. Just book early to get the best rate. If you are cruising this is the only place to stay. Read more
"Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver"
The hotel was beautiful, and very comfortable. We did not upgrade to a better view and higher quality linens, as the upgrade was rather expensive. The location was ideal, as we did not even have to go outside of the port when we got off of our cruise ship. We were able to walk to Stanley Park and to the Gastown area. The immediate neighborhood was very […] nice (but there are areas not too far from the hotel that were questionable) and the Concierge was very helpful in selecting and setting up dinner locations. "Great Location, Great Staff...GREAT HOTEL!!!"
One of the best experiences I ever had with a hotel...and I've been to quite a few all over the world! Impressive when you first look upon it, the Pan Pacific (and it's scenic surroundings) was breathtaking. The staff was always very nice and helpful no matter what time of day or night. We stayed in the Downtown view and were not disappointed at all. […] Room was very comfortable with a spectacular view of downtown Vancouver. Only complaint was that there was no wifi in the hotel. The concierge told us we had to go to the Starbucks cafe to use the wifi. Great atmosphere. Overall grade is an A- Read more
"Pan Pacific in Vancouver, BC"
I've been to this hotel before and so this time was a little disappointed with my room but only because I didn't have the magnificent view of the Harbour I had the first time. Other than that it was lovely. Service extremely friendly, beds so comfy, good showers, clean spacious rooms. Public pay parking right below the hotel....although can be expensive...but […] the hotel does have their own parking fees which can save a few dollars as well as valet parking. All in all I love staying at the Pan Pacific. :) Read more
"Close to Cruise ship drop off. Vancouver"
Beaufiful hotel, Didn't eat in Restaurants but plenty of restaurants near by. Rooms were large with great views. Would definitely return as long as I had a good price. Otherwise the cost of this hotel was very expensive.
"Excellent customer services"
All is good. The bellman was so nice and everyone is very helpful and provided great services.
"Outstanding Hotel"
Perfect hotel with a great location! We also ate at the Five Sails restaurant and had a six star meal. We will be back! We upgraded to an ocean view and watched the July 1 fireworks from our room.

"Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, BC"
What a wonderful hotel in a great location! Close to everything plus it was great to push an elevator button and be on the level to board our cruise ship. The staff was very helpful including picking up our luggage and taking it to the ship so we didn't have to handle it at all. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone taking an Alaskan cruise […] from Vancouver. Read more

"BEST Hotel hands down!"
Nothing compares to the Pan Pacific
"Nice place with poor Internet"
Nice comfortable hotel but don't expect to get much work done here. Internet access is charged per day and per device! For those that use WiFi with laptops, phones and pads this makes working more difficult and costly. To make matters worse, the connection was slow and frequently dropped. I would not stay there again unless I was sure the Internet access […] had improved. Read more

"Pan Pacific Vancouver Waterfront"

"The Pan Pacific in Vancouver"
What a great hotel! The room was wonderful and the view superb! The personnel and the service were phenomenal! Everybody was very friendly, helpful and extremely polite. The restaurant on the premises was best I have ever been in all my travels around the world. The location, view, service and atmosphere were just perfect and the food was impeccable, […] if that is a word to describe food! The only thing missing was more time to spend there! "Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver - Stunning!"
The Pan Pacific was Absolutely Amazing. Our Room had an excellent view (although they said it was one of their better rooms) it could not have been more perfect. The Room itself was stunning, spacious, very comfortable, excellent amenities, clean. We were joining the Coral Princess for a cruise the next day so the Location and Convenience was beyond […] perfect. Hotel Concierge took care of getting our luggage onboard so we did not have to mess around with that in any way. We were able to enjoy Vancouver for the day and then join our vessel just prior to leaving. I can not say enough good things about the hotel. Staff was courteous and professional and knowledgeable of other things to see in the area as well as helpful in guiding us to where we wanted to go. Our vacation absolutely started on the right foot when we booked this hotel. We Highly recommend the Pan Pacific,... it was excellent! Read more
