This is the third time I have stayed at the Royal Scot in the past. year. Found it to be an ideal place to stay and the convenience to all amenities very handy. On my next visit to Victoria I will definitely stay here.

Location.
The Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa, a smoke-free property, stands along the waterfront in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The resort is located 2 blocks from Market Square's shops and restaurants. Chinatown, Bastion Square and Bay Centre Mall are positioned 3 blocks away.
Hotel Features.
LURE, this resort's seafood restaurant and lounge, features floor-to-ceiling windows that afford expansive views of the city's Inner Harbour. A 24-hour business center offers use of a computer with high-speed Internet access and a printer. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby, while fax and photocopying services may be requested of the front-desk staff. 10 meeting/conference rooms and a ballroom are available. Extensive recreational facilities include a health club with an atrium pool, spa tub, sauna, combination squash/racquetball court and 2 tennis courts. An atrium fitness center features 3 exercise bikes, 2 treadmills, a stair climber, elliptical trainer, rowing machine, free weights, numerous strength-training machines and refrigerated towels. Locker rooms contain showers and complimentary toiletries. This resort is located alongside a waterfront boardwalk suitable for running, walking, cycling and in-line skating.

This hotel offers 239 guestrooms in an 8-story building. Premium bedding features plush triple sheeting atop pillowtop mattresses. Bathrooms contain plush bathrobes, satin hangers, marble vanities and make-up mirrors. Other amenities include desks, minibars, flat-screen TVs, 2 phones, and CD players. High-speed Internet access is offered for a fee. Select accommodations feature arched windows, armoires, upholstered chairs and earth-toned color schemes with patterned fabric accents. The hotel also offers 24-hour room service. Signature Club rooms do not allow pets.

"Great hotel, great location"
We loved the Delta--only down side was that some remodeling was still going on, but that didn't affect us much, and was probably the reason for a great rate. We've stayed at the Empress multiple times and prefer the Delta. Better location (mainly because it is less touristy), very close to old town, China Town and shopping. Staff were wonderful. We […] ate breakfast each morning and one dinner at Luna in hotel--all delicious, with great service. We will stay there again. If you fly Kenmore Air from Seattle, Delta couldn't be more convenient--just two blocks (over the bridge) from the landing. But even if you don't want to walk, they'll pick you up/drop you...also take you wherever you want to go in the city with their van. Of the 8 or 10 two or three day vacations we've done in Victoria, this was the best, mainly because we stayed at the Delta. Read more

The hotel is undergoing major construction. The hotel staff were great, we got a shuttle pick up and drop off and the kids got a play package on arrival at registration. However, the hotel is undergoing major construction from 9am to 5pm. I'm sure once construction is over it will be a lot better.
"Loved the Location"
Great view and great location. It was just a short walk to the downtowns best resturants. The beds were the best of many of the hotels we have stayed in.

We booked a short, family trip in an "inner harbor" room. It could not have been nicer! The brand new room (remodeled) was gorgeous, as was the view of Victoria Harbor! The hotel restaurant, Lure, served us a delicious, well-presented dinner. Shuttle service was great as well. *** The downsides for this 4.5 star hotel were: ONE pod of single serve coffee […] per day (for 4?!) & no free coffee to be found in the entire hotel! No Continental breakfast-- nothing, but you can buy one for about $15+/- bucks per person. Did I mention no free coffee anywhere? There is a mini-bar in the room but no extra room in it to buy your own food & put in there. They don't give you toothpaste either, btw. Parking in their underground garage was $16+/- per night. You will pay for everything here, so be forewarned! And bring some dish soap, the maids might wipe out cups & glasses but you will not get fresh ones, although they will appear to have been cleaned. I wiped residual coffee out of "fresh" coffee cups daily before washing them myself. YUCK.*** Overall, it was a very nice stay but the brand new room along with that VIEW were what really made it special! Read more

A Classy Hotel, from walking in through the front door to going up in the elevator to our room. Clean and Moderate decor not to elaboriteThe service is great and the Staff always polite and smiling. The most wonderful point about this hotel is the inner harbour view when dining. No other place in Victoria has this. The food is always top notch and priced very reasonably considering the surroundings. It is very pet friendly hotel and I would consider bringing my dogs the next time. We had the most wonderful view from our room so we deceided to stay in for the eveing and enjoy the city from our room. Parking was convenient to the elevators and the staff was very professional.

Service could not have been better - everyone from maids to management were over to top in making sure we were comfortable and had what we wanted. I have to say this was the best I have EVER been treated at a hotel. The staff wer SO accommodating and so very nice. Once downfall was the Lure restaurant. My aunt and I had breakfast there our first morning there and my first go around my fritatta was not cooked all the way through and there was a hair in it! The service wasn't so hot either. Little […] snub nose girls! They let me choose something else and it was OK. For what they charge it should have been a 5 star meal! Other than that, the Delta is the place to stay. A very happy surprise- the rooms are wonderfully spacious and bright, the hotel is on the bay with views of the Parliment Building and the BC museum, and it's a 10-15 minute walk into town to all the shopping, restaurant and tour buses that will take you to the Bushart Gardens,..... An easy and convenient place to stay!

This was a wonderful hotel. The location was across from the hub-bub of town yet easily accessed. The restaurant was absolutely fabulous. The entrees presented beautifully and the food couldn't have been better The staff at the restaurant, in the bar and in the hotel were polite and helpful. This is a hotel I would recommend to all.

We chose this hotel because of its location on the inner harbor and its excellent Frommer's rating. It was perfect for our 2-night stay in Victoria. We had our 23-year-old daughter with us (she lives in Seattle) and our room easily accommodated all 3 of us. The room was spacious, the bathroom was gorgeous and large (great shower) and the beds were very […] comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, beginning with the shuttle-driver who was there to pick up our bags when we arrived on the Clipper. We chose the option that includes a continental breakfast (and hors-d'hoeuvres) on a private room on the third floor and I would recommend that, if you are a breakfast eater. Dining in Victoria is quite expensive, so it saved us some money. The lobby has a huge 2-story window with a spectacular view of the inner harbor. At night you have a gorgeous view of the Parliament building all lit up. I used the gym one morning and found it to be quite good. There is also a pool, hot tub and spa which we didn't have time to use. The location is ideal. Everything in the downtown area is within walking distance. A first class hotel. This is a very nice hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is across the bay so there is a 1/2 Kilometer walk to downtown. The water taxis and hotel shuttle were good alternative's to the walk. We ate at The Lure resturaunt and it was outstanding. Our only complaint was we could hear people in the other rooms. The room we booked wasn't ready when we arrived (well past the check in time) but they did put us in another room right away. the biggest bummer was the cost of breakfast......very pricey-- and WAY overpriced. Our stay here started out wonderful. We arrived on an early ferry from Seattle and had hoped to stow our luggage at the hotel till the afternoon checkin. When we arrived they said they had a room ready for us. We checked right in and were in our room enjoying our harbour view by noon. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The only slight criticism […] we had was that the service at the hotel restaurant was not the best. Hostess was not present either time we dined and there was a long wait during our dinner service. A bit out of the way from the downtown shopping area, but there is a dock right at the hotel for the water ferry taxi. Awesome service, great looking rooms, and a very comfortable stay! Would recommend to someone, and would stay here again

This hotel appeared a bit shabby. The beds were very comfortable, but the ambiance of the hotel and our room was a bit drab. Old tile in the bathrooms, faded artwork on the room walls. Expensive but you pay what you paid for. Oustanding quality, comfort and service. The only down side is the distance to the downtown (walking takes 10min to Chinatown and 15-20min to the Wharf), you have to pay $16 CAD per day for their parking, and no complimentary breakfast.

"Amazing Place to Stay--Wouldn't Go Anywhere Else!!"
The Delta Victoria is the most amazing place. We weren't sure where to stay and noticed that Delta Victoria had a free shuttle service to just about anywhere in the city. This was so convenient! We arrived on the Clipper and had the hotel come pick us up. They had our room available early and we were able to freshen up and take our bags immediately […] to our room. The place is PHENOMENAL!! The views are just amazing. The service is 2nd to none. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had an unbelievable experience. Our shuttle driver, Jeremy, was awesome. He gave us rockstar service: helpful advice on where to go, where to eat and was alway prompt and friendly when picking us up. He was great. We felt like queens; no queens are too old.....we felt like princesses, like rockstars! We had the most incredible time and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The value is well worth it! Read more

We've stayed at almost every hotel in the Inner Harbour over the last 10 years, and the Delta stood out. The staff was stellar, showing real attention to detail and making us feel welcome. We stayed with our 2 year old Labrador puppy, and everyone from maids to front desk staff stopped to pet her and give her treats. We were thoroughly impressed.
