Stayed 4 nights Sept 14-17, 2012. Executive room was roomy and large as advertised. Larger than most London and NYC rooms. (5th time in London, 1st time at the Landmark Hotel). Hotel room had up-to-date furshings and fixtures, elegant decor. The hotel's internal Atrium is a nice attractive feature with at least 6 stories with restarant layout in the […] center. Location is very convenient. The rear of the buliding is directly across the street from the Marylebone tube and National Rail Service station. Very convenient to and from London Heathrow AIrport. The Marylebone station is spacious with several cafe shops, a sports pub, small grocery store and a flower shop. Only suggestion to management is to roll the wifi billing into the room rate. This little price play is silly. Why not increase the room rate by 14 pounds and advertise "Free Wifi." Read more

The hotel was charming. A grand dame if there ever was one. The staff was perfect in their friendliness and stop at nothing to help. The food was outstanding and despite its cost, was worth every cent and more. We were a little away from central London but the Marylebone station was steps away to wisk you anywhere you wanted.

Overall Great Hotel. One problem, you must pay 15 pounds a day to use the gym. Given the cost of one night it is outrageous to think there are additional cost for using the gym. Really put a damper on my experience.

Gorgeous hotel in a convenient location. The only downfalls I found were with the restaurant which was extremely pricey and I missed having a coffee/ hot water pot in the room (room service costs were VERY pricey as well). There is a Marks and Spencer simply food right across the street at the Marylebone station which can compensate however.

My office inadvertently booked me into the Landmark instead of the Langham. Fine, I thought; let's try a new place in London. Bad idea. The hotel looks ominous from the get-go. The concierge staff are a bit too "mate" and not enough "sir." The front desk failed to deliver newspapers to the room, despite -- upon check-in and the following morning -- […] two specific requests that they do so. And the room was pretty bare bones -- a dingy comforter (not duvet), a bed as hard as a plank, irregular cleaning service and no tea kettle. Oh -- and $23/day for internet. Maybe that flew five years ago, but at a 5-star today? On the plus-side, I did arrive early and they were able to accommodate me with a room. And if you need easy access to the tube, it's right there. Still, this is not a 5-star hotel. It's a monstrous place that caters to trade groups and package tourists. Our family of 4 stayed there for 5 days at the end of August 2011. Location is close to metro and double decker buses. Hotel was nice and clean and not super expensive. We had a very good experience staying at this hotel until it came time to check out. We had used the telephone in our room to make two phone calls. Both calls were to numbers in England, so they were not international. One call was about 7 minutes long, and the other was about 8 minutes long. The charge on our bill for the two calls totaled twenty-two […] (22) pounds (nearly USD $40)! I have stayed at four-star hotels throughout the US and have seen extremely high charges for use of the telephone, but this is by far the most outrageous charge I've ever seen. The Landmark is a 5-star luxury hotel. The location is excellent (across from the Marylebone tube and train station) in a generally quiet neighborhood. The service is excellent - what you would expect from a luxury hotel. We made extensive use of the concierge, and the people staffing that desk were very helpful. The principal public area is a very […] large and spectacular roofed-in central atrium; the dining area is located there. The rooms are comfortable, fairly large, and well designed, but rather non-discript. (Luxury hotels are frequently filled with antiques and artwork; the Landmark is not.) It's an old hotel, but has clearly been refurbished top to bottom within the last decade - e.g. the bathrooms are granite/ marble/glass. Half of the rooms (including ours) face into the atrium, which has the disadvantage of not being able to check the weather. Amenities (e.g. breakfasts, internet) are expensive- we ate nearby or grabbed a pastry ("pasty") at the tube/railway station. I'd definitely stay there again if the price were right. Read more

i did not mind the price of the hotel but the extras, if you want to make tea/coffee in your room an extra charge, internet GBP20 a night and very slow. to use the pool GBP15 Please just add GBP25 a night and include things i expect as standard it makes a 5 star hotel like a budget airline. Oh and to top it off i get home and get a bill for GBP 5.50 […] for an oringe juce from the minibar, i did not have!!! Also update the small old TV's just junk. also bathrooms very dark the lighting was terrible. I reviewed a lot of hotels before making a decision. At the Landmark Hotel, the staff was excellent. One member of the concierge, Nigel, arranged a reservation at a wonderful and hard to get in restaurant at the last minute. They were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. Everything about the room was wonderful. We received a King size […] bed which is unheard of in London. The only disappointment was the extra fee to use the pool. I was not expecting that of a hotel with so many amenities and the high room rate. Internet access is also expensive but you can find free WiFi at local McDonalds. The location was great. It is literally across the street from the tube and Marylebone railroad station. The Baker Street station was only two blocks away and gave us five tube lines to choose from. I would recommend this hotel highly. The prices reflect the quality of the hotel but I was lucky to combine a package with Expedia for a great value. Read more
