We really liked San Pedro Inn & Suites. It was perfect for our over-night stay before our cruise. The price that we paid for the room was a good value. The staff was friendly. We were suprised that such a good breakfast was included in the price of our room.
Location.
The Peninsula is a luxury hideaway in Beverly Hills located within a few blocks of the high-end shops of Rodeo Drive and Century City Mall. The hotel is 10 miles west of Santa Monica Beach and 10 miles east of Hollywood.
Hotel features.
Nestled in a garden setting, the hotel features a rooftop pool, spa tub, and cabanas that overlook the city. There is also a full-service spa and fitness center. Guests can dine at the fine-dining restaurant, casual salon, al fresco spot by the pool, and hotel bar.
The Peninsula Academy offers a range of activities for guests to live their Hollywood dreams from starring in a movie to taking private surf lessons in Malibu (available upon request, reservations required).
Guests are greeted at LAX and transported to the hotel in a luxury car. Complimentary Rolls-Royce limo service is available within Beverly Hills (first come, first served). The hotel offers 24-hour check-in service, a staffed 24-hour business center, and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access in public areas. 4 venue rooms are available for meetings, weddings, and celebrations. Guests enjoy valet parking (surcharge), and a complimentary area shuttle. This is a smoke-free hotel.

The Peninsula, Beverly Hills has 196 guestrooms and suites decorated in Renaissance style. Italian marble bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers. Rooms are equipped with large desks, dual-line phones, and fax machines. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access is available. LCD televisions come with Bose surround-sound systems and DVD players. Complimentary delivery of fruit, flowers, and newspapers is provided daily.

Located within the rooftop garden, the Peninsula Spa has 7 treatment rooms including a couple's room. Over 30 treatments include signature facials, body treatments such as mud wraps, body scrubs and acupuncture, and holistic and therapeutic massages including gemstone massages. The spa also has a hair salon, two indoor nail suites, and an outdoor nail cabana.
The Belvedere - Modern American cuisine served for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in an elegant setting with an outdoor garden. Children's menu available.
The Living Room - Guests can enjoy a late breakfast, all-day dining, cocktails, dessert, and afternoon tea in a salon setting with comfortable couches and harp music.
The Roof Garden - Healthy cuisine is served using organic produce in an al fresco garden setting by the pool. Open for breakfast, lunch, and early dinner. Children's menu available.
The Club Bar - Paneled in birch wood, the den-like bar offers fine wines, single malts, cocktails, and light fare for lunch and dinner.
24-hour room service is offered.
With views of the city, the heated outdoor pool is located in a garden setting on the roof along with a spa tub and poolside cabanas. The fitness center includes cardio and weight-training machines and a steam room. Personal trainers are on hand to offer yoga and Pilates sessions.

Multimillion-dollar mansions flank Beverly Hills’ palm-lined streets. Lifestyles of the rich and famous are on full view on Rodeo Drive’s boutiques, from Armani to Zegna. Not coincidentally, the Melrose District east of Beverly Hills has excellent secondhand shops. Many up-and-coming design studios are based in Melrose. Nearby, West Hollywood, or WeHo, is the epicenter of Los Angeles gay life.

The hotel was nice, we booked a deluxe king room which had plent of room. Unfortunately it looked over a busy courtyard so we kept our curtains drawn. Very comfy beds and pillows, nicely appointed room with a great media connection centre. "Most Amazing Hotel I Ever stayed at!"
My husband and I travel quiet a bit around the world. We go to lots of 4 and 5 star hotels including places like NYC, Paris, Munich, etc. The Peninsula in LA absolutely topped all hotels we had ever been at. HANDS DOWN! "Our favorite hotel"
The Peninsula is a fabulous hotel rich with history. They gave us a ride back in their Rolls Royce from Rodeo Drive which daughter thoroughly enjoyed. They even put a bookmark on top of my book without me asking which I needed. They definitely understand the fine touches. Staff is wonderful.
