The Staff was top notched. unfortunatly the pool was cold the hot tub was cold the ice machine did not work. the weather was so bad outside that we really could not go anywhere so we were stuck. the breakfest ladies were outstanding but I even notices that small things like the cereal dispenser was not working right. I saw three people overfill their bowls because it was dispensing too much. The room was fine and the location is fine just keep up on repairs. The stuff could of all broke on Friday and its fixed now. I am a Elite Platinum member and this is starting to become a theme at the Quality Inns that I stay at.

The hotel is so run down and outdated. Its like stepping in a time machine back to the 80's. Ripped sheets on the beds. Cracks on the walls in the room. The pool area was just disgusting. I couldn't let my kids swim in the pool.

Accommodations were comfortable. Slight problem with air conditioning a little warm for weather conditions. Needed a slight repair. No restaurants near by closest was Saugatuck and Grand Rapids all about half hr away. Overall good

Needed a place to stay because Grand Rapids hitels were sold out. Wouldn't pay $100 to stay here unless it was the only hotel available for miles and it was.

I stayed here on a trip by myself with my three young boys, and I chose it because it was the least expensive. I was immediately impressed and welcomed by the kindest, most helpful hotel staff I've ever encountered. Although there were the usual downsides of a hotel of this rating (no elevator, typical cheap breakfast, slight mold stains in the AC unit, no refrigerator), it was more than made up for by the caring attentiveness of the staff. The pool is pretty and big and well cared for; all of my requests (including one for an unexpected additional night's stay) were granted cheerfully; and all of the offerings at breakfast including coffeeare refilled promptly. Will definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here on multiple occasions as it is close to relatives. It is an average hotel for the area, but it is showing its age and needs to be updated. This room was clean but smelled like stale smoke/mildew. The wallpaper was starting to bubble in a couple locations. The bathroom had no fan which resulted in condensation running down walls after 2 consecutive showers (by kids so not that hot). The toilet rocked back and forth. Breakfast was typical - nothing special. Service was friendly. Don't know if we'll stay again unless it gets updated.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Unfortunately expedia charged me $113 per room on my charge but the hotel gave a receipt for $91. I feel over charged. That is a significant difference!

The staff was friendly and the breakfast very good. Our room could have some remodeling done as there was a patch of threadbare carpet and the tv remote control did not work. The single pane windows allowed one to hear every footstep and conversation outside that was near the room. The walls between rooms are not insulated very well, and it was very easy to hear the TV and conversations in the next room.

We had a late check in and were pretty much ready to turn in but got blasted with an odor of like cats living in our room. Thank God for a nearby 24hr market that had lysol spray that I drenched the room in.Then the remote for the tv stopped working ans they could not figure out the problem so we were stuck watching 1 channel. Not the worst thing. They need to spend some money foe somw upgrades. Breakfast was the highlight of our day. Won't be coming here again though

The first room they put us in was so dirty, yellowish stuff was running down the seams of the wallpaper, the bathroom light would not work, and there were brown streaks on the bed spread. I called and complained and they changed our room. The Hotel itself was in dire need of some updating and cleaning. they vacuumed but they really needed to clean the carpets. Breakfast was basically toast, cereal, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice. their waffle iron was out of order. NONE OF IT WAS VERY TASTY!!! The pool was nice but needed to be cleaned as well. It however did not have the gallons of chlorine found in most hotel pools.

We definitely got what we paid for. I wish that they would paint the place (as the part about the peeling wallpaper is still very true) and clean the cobwebs in the pool area. Plus, the water is unfortunate, as yellow, smelly and bad tasting. But, it was safe and a really great price. Plus, there was a hot tub and breakfast. I probably would not return (as have no reason to do so), but I was satisfied with my stay. The staff is great! The pools and cleanliness were great. The place was well lit.

I don't think that their rate reflects the quality of the hotel-- they are charging as much as other hotels that offer more amenities like: in room fridge/microwave-- a business center with: computer and internet access, a printer/fax. The internet service they have is too slow. The television in the room is old-- we couldn't hook up our laptop to watch movies online. They had the AC running in the pool area-- it was TOO cold to swim and also, the hot tub was out of service. I chose this hotel for the pool/hot tub and we were VERY disappointed not to be able to swim comfortably. My daughter and I usually will swim for hours when we stay at hotels with a pool. The bathroom area where the tub and commode is was miniscule-- way too small! When using the commode, your leg is pressed right up against the door. Also, we found quite a bit of mildew spots in the bathtub area-- on the walls and ceiling.

The hotel is 'not bad', i travelled during labor day weekend and i wanted something in Holland,this was the nearest possible which was available when i booked on 31st Aug. Good things- Quite place, peaceful surroundings, room was clean, nice housekeeping.The breakfast is not great but not bad too, it gives you few options which is good enough to start a day. Pool was a plus.The best thing for me was 'In Room Wifi' unlike many other hotels who promise wifi and dont provide the service..this one actually had in room wifi service.Not so good things- 1.I had a comforter which was stained, however after informing the front desk they replaced it quickly. 2.We stayed there for 2 nights and on day 1 when we returned late at 12 midnight we found that our room keys weren't working and we were locked out of our rooms for few mins with kids going berserk..those were tough 5 mins. Front desk did something and helped us open our rooms.Room carpet could have been more cleaner and dont ask me about the lobby..i wish i could have jumped out of room window to go out instead of walking on the lobby carpet and using the exit doors! families you might want to search more hotels if you plan to stay in this area.because it is off the freeway on exit 62 having few options for eating out.couples.you won't get quiter place than this.if you are lucky enough to get the room on the west side..you could enjoy the beautiful sunset from your room

Air Conditioner was very noisy and continuously turned on and off. The rug was damped in several areas and was extremely musty smelling The breakfast bar was very good with a hot and cold menu. Front desk was polite. This hotel is in seriously need of an up-grade through-out.

The hotel was ok for what we needed. When I checked in, I had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to even come up to the front desk. When we got to our rooms, there were visible stains on the comforters, spackle on the walls, and it was very tiny. The beds were clean and comfortable, which was most important, and the air conditioning worked fabulously. It was a very hot day when we stayed their, and we were quite comfortable with the room temp. The TV was very outdated, and the remote only worked when you held it at a certain angle. This is a pet friendly hotel, and we could hear dogs barking. I was not aware it was pet friendly, and would have chosen another place if I had known. The hotel can't control barking dogs, but I was hoping it would be a little more sound proof.

After my husband booked I made a quick look at the reviews and they were right on! Negatives were dirty towels hung on the back of the bathroom door, hair & bugs behind bathroom door, dirty mirror & dresser peeling. Not enough hot water! Positives - pool warm, hot tub, good breakfast, pet friendly, clean & comfortable bed. Hotel staff very friendly & accomodating! We would stay on the fly again especially with our pet.

I was just passing through and I needed a place to stay on the very cold night. I chose the Quality Inn; and I found it had reasonable off-season prices. And, more importantly - the room was warm. The Quality Inn had very convenient access to I-196; and there were several fast-food joints within walking distance. The room was clean and up-to-date; but the corridor was bland, and the lobby was worn. There was a cute pool; but it was barely large enough to just look at. But, I was not interested in swimming anyways. I was interested in getting a good-night sleep, which I did in the Quality Inn's very comfortable bed.

We stayed only one night here, but we would stay again if in the area. The hotel itself is dated but our room was clean. The staff was friendly at check in and again during breakfast which was nice. The breakfast was nothing special, typical free hot breakfast. The curtains in our room looked like they had been put through the dryer and some of the backing had come off making it look moth eaten, but it wasn't worth complaining or switching rooms for. If you look at this hotel for what it is, an affordable place right off the interstate that is clean, then I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Stayed at this motel for a wedding. The best part about the place, was it was just around the corner for the wedding and the reception. It was an easy ride to the mall. The motel itself is very outdated and needs a lot of work. Once a couple of things are fixed up it will be a great place. The staff was nice, and very helpful.

To begin with, we did leave a comment card and wrote a review to the Quality Inn management about our stay. We simply requested that they properly train their cleaning personnel, and I hope that they are mature enough to handle the job. Coffee pot not rinsed out, dust on bed headboards, hairs all around the bathroom facilities. Our response from mgt said they would address it, but based on other reviews....they are not listening. If this is the fault of the owner, I hope it is addressed soon. The place can be old, but if it is maintained and spotlessly clean, people will still come.

First of all, I want to say that I have stayed at this hotel 25+ times in the past as my wife is from this area and this was a nice hotel in the past to stay at when visiting family. It has been 5 years since our last stay. Although the exterior of the building is still nice we were very disappointed with conditions of the interior. I'm going to be long winded with this review as I have so much to say about what is wrong with this place. Desk staff was friendly at check-in and our request for a ground floor room was honored. The problems started when we entered the room. The holes in the curtains were the first thing that jumped out at us (see picture). The king sized bed had 4 half sized pillows on it, never seen that before. As it turns out, trying to sleep on 2 half size pillows is something I don't want to attempt again. Now to the bathroom. The first thing I noticed were 2 bugs, one on the floor beside the tub and one on the tub, both were alive (see pictures). Wall paper was peeling off the wall and there was a layer of soap scum on the tap and tub (see pictures). I don't want to start with what was behind the bathroom door but it had not seen a cleaning in quite a while. The bathroom light was equally disgusting as it was yellow and full of what I presume were dead bugs (see picture). The next morning we got up to have a shower only to find out the towel, which was way past its expiry date had a big hole in it (see picture). Room was sparsely furnished but the carpet did appear clean. Very disappointed with the neglect this room has seen, in our previous visits the place used to be spotless. Now, on to the locking down of the outer doors at 10pm. Their policy is to lock all outer doors at 10pm. This forces you to walk around the building to enter though the front entrance. The sign says the door is locked for your safety, but for a lot of people who have to park at the far end of the building it's a long and potentially unsafe walk to get to the front entrance (see picture). The doors have key card scanners but they have chosen to disable them at 10pm, this makes no sense. With all this being said, we'll find someplace new the next time we visit the area.

Very nice place. The rooms are nice and clean. Very nice pool area with a hot tub. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A continental breakfast that is not only complimental but also a very nice set-up. Overall, we had a very nice experience.

Ok, so you need to be in Holland but the Comfort Inn has horribly high prices.... what ya gonna do? Well there is this wonderfully hidden easy to get to hotel is just the ticket. Not only is this hotel fairly priced, it's my opinion that they should actually charge more! NO Kidding. This extremely clean hotel has one of the best staff member I have ever encountered but enjoyed every encounter with everyone. Everything works, Everything was clean and here's the amazing part, is was quiet. Ok, stop laughing LOL. Really, I spend so many days in hotels it is hard to impress me (since I have worked in the industry myself). When I told the clerk that I had an extremely important job interview the next day (Monday) and I really needed something quiet I was surprised when she dropped me into 102. a ground floor room. You know what, even though it was close to the lobby it was still wonderfully quiet. Did I mention Quiet? ok, ok, just didn't want you to miss it! If you want a clean hotel that is .... wait for it..... QUIET this is the place. I don't mind paying for this type of quality. Nice job guys, what I don't understand is how this hotel has no awards. Choice, maybe you should take a better look at this hidden gem.

"A Pretty Good Place Trying to Improve"

This is a place which shows some need for physical improvements (exterior cosmetics and interior furnishings) but is trying hard to be a good place at which to stay. Here's the list: 1) Check-in - Jessica was friendly and helpful. Told me where to park my motorcycle, explained all the details and made me feel welcome. 2) Initial impression with room: Worn & dated furniture (just like home), clean smell, very good bed, tiny bathroom (but adequate). Good shower. 3) Eventual impression with room: lighting was good. Carpet a little spotty. Internet service strong (5Mbps/DL). Noise from other rooms (especially from above) was intrusive. 4) Sleep situation: Bed was good for me but maybe a little soft for others. Noise was OK. 5) Breakfast: Nothing really new here. Standard waffles, coffee was tasty, cold HB eggs, interesting sausage was tasty but very salty. 6) Supporting businesses: There are plenty of FF restaurants nearby, but nothing else I could find with any more substance. All in all, a nice place which will treat you well.
