We were scheduled for appointment in Lancaster and choose to to stay close to but not right in the Lancaster area. The Best Western fit the bill wonderfully.Great staff. Very nice nice stay for the price. The room was very fresh and the breakfast the next day got us started off very nicely.

The hotel would have been ok, but the guests staying there were very rude and made the stay awful. The breakfast room was small with not enough seating and the food was not very good. Not much variety and someone (one of the rude guests) broke the waffle machine. The pool area was the best part of the hotel and the fact it was near alot of retail areas […] was good too. The guests however in the pool are were rude and obnotious and the person running the front desk did not seem to care. We had small children and had to leave because it was too loud and there was no room in the hottub because the other guests completely took it over without any consideration for the rest of the guests in the pool area. We complained, but nothing was done so we left the area and went back to our room. I/we stayed at the Canal Winchester Best Western while visiting family in the area. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good. Room was clean. The major drawback for us was that the hotel has no elevator. I had to drag a big suitcase up the stairs. Furthermore, we traveled with an infant, so I had to carry the baby and all the gear up to the second […] floor and then down again. The second night it snowed, and when we woke up the back entrance had not been cleared. Dangerous. Also, the room was on the small side. The staff was friendly however, the refrigerator had a broken shelf, the closet area was broken, one of the towels in our room had a "large, suspicious" stain and our room was non-smoking but reeked of cigarette smoke. My wife and I booked this hotel when we needed to find a place to stay after shopping at Easton before we headed to another destination. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was clean, and in a great area. The rooms were large, appeared to be recently renovated, and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't ask for more!

The room and hallway carpets were dingy and worn out. We found a few beer bottle caps on the floor and on the nightstand. The hot tub needs to be scrubbed; there was a ring of dirt around the inside lip. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Staff was friendly.

The pool was a little on the cold side. The spa was at a higher temperature than what is should have been at. The front desk person was some what rude to my family. I think that she could have been a bit nicer. The bathrooms all most all of them were clogged up. They really need to check on the bathrooms more often.

I was very please to find that this motel was a non-smoking for any place. I found it quiet and located in a good neighborhood. The breakfest was good. I do feel however for the cost of a room the hotel needs to do better on its upkeep. Another concern is about house keeping. If you keep the room for more then a day they do not change the sheets. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was easily accessible from major highways. Within walking distance are a variety of stores and restaurants. Our room, and the hotel, were clean. The indoor pool is nice, the water was cold, but nice. The hotel entrances smelled of new paint, found dried blood stains on clean made beds pillow cases, 2 nd day only receive 1 set of towels for 2 guests. Day 3 beds and room were never serviced. They DID however extend my check out time to 2, which was EXTREMELY helpful for my situation that day.
