"Not the Hotel it Once Was"
We have been staying at this location on and off for 15 years while visiting family in Storm Lake. I will not stay here again. The waffle iron was foul and we went out for breakfast. The beds were small and had sharp metal framing sticking out. The barrel chair in the room had crusted unknown something all over the side and the desk chair was wobbly […] and ready to collapse. The bathroom fan did not work and the switch was just exposed metal. There was a piece of carpeting cut from the rug. This WAS our go to hotel for cleanliness and affordability. We are done with it. Overall pretty good. The exterior side door closest to our room wouldn't unlock and maintenance had to look at it. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm enough to live in , we didn't have to turn the thermostat up to get comfortable. My wife noticed some white flecks on the floor and questioned the cleaning but I felt nothing walking in bare […] feet after shower. No coffee maker but we don't drink coffee so that was no problem. This is better than a super eight but nothing special. The bathroom was very small with no exhaust fan. No coffee machine in room although they did have a small refrigerator and microwave. Clean, Basic and comfortable Great room for the price! And much better than Motel 6. Continental breakfast was Very basic, but worked for what we needed.
