The staff at the reception area seems to be annoyed with the clients they did not show a friendly attitude and seemed rather confused about what was going on with the 3rd party charge just a very unprofessional check in; but the cleaning stafff was great and that was all of the interaction. The room was good the bathroom was great would stay again I would just want a better rate. Thank you.

The place is amazing. Beautiful rooms, nice spa, good gym. But what really distinguishes this place is the service. Every detail was thoughtfully overseen. The concierge even got us into a restaurant with a 4 month wait list. Room had awesome view.

This hotel is being remodeled. It was nice and clean for the most part and quiet at night. The quiet could be because there wasn't many guests but the surrounding hotels were sold out. The only complaint was the rude cleaning lady. My husband told her we would be out of the room about 15 minutes past check out and she told him, "That's unacceptable". "Hammond Inn"
Good Inn. The pool and hot tub are great! The room was a 4 of 5 and the overall cosmetic review a 4 of 5. I would stay again though.
Reviews I read on this Hotel are very misleading. The only good thing was "nice receptionist". The Hotel needs a 42 million dollar renovation.

"INN OF HAMMOND"
I had a comfortable two night stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located just off of the expressway, however without seeing the signage in the air I would not have known how to reach it because it is behind a college and the street level sign that directs you to it can easily be missed. The room was very clean and I was surprised at the room amenties […] that I didn't find on hotel.com, i.e. microwave oven, refrigerator and iron. The continental breakfast was very extensive as well. "Would Definitely Return"
Visited with kids for science fair. I was very happy, extra pleasant help at front desk. Indoor pool & jacuzzi was nice & a great wintertime bonus. Comfortable beds, reasonably diverse breakfast items. Will be back next time we're up there.

"Inn of Hammond Indiana"
The facility was really old. Pool and spa weren't so clean. Not much activity around the area. Room condition and amenities were below average for the price you pay. Still using CRT tv. However, breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Overall not recommended for family on vacation.

"Decent hotel, but a bit inconveniently located"
A decent hotel, nice pool area and good room, good breakfast included. BUT tricky to find if you don't know the area (it's BEHIND the Kaplan College building and you have to drive through the parking lot for Kaplan to find it) and you have to drive to a restaurant for dinner, there's not a chance of walking to find something to eat. "Good Location and Great Service"
We booked one night here to be conveniently located between Chicago and Indiana Dunes. Our check-in was smooth and the staff was very polite. They even called after we arrived in our room to check that everything was to our satisfaction. The location was pretty good, and there were plenty of restaurant choices within 1-2 miles. The hotel itself was close to a very busy stretch of interstate so the rooms on the front side had some road noise, but we had a room on the back side and it was just fine. Cozy place, very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Free Continental breakfast and 24hr European Coffee. Hotel walls are very thick and you don't hear anything. Some rooms upgraded with flat screen TV's. Free wireless internet and secure parking with cops that frequent the area. This is a really nice hotel and the price is right. An older hotel in need of some maintenance in the public areas and pool is about the worst i could say. Everything else was very good. Very clean hotel. Room was nice with some updated and some older furniture, however very clean and comfortable. The pool was clean as was the whirlpool. Free highspeed internet and a frig and microwave included. The continental breakfast was good. Had noisy neighbors on Saturday, but other than that it was quiet and clean.

The hotel was much better than I expected. This area of Indiana is what would be considered "grimey." But, it was a 4 story building that was well kept and relatively clean. The only issue I had was that there is a pool and jacuzzi right at the front entrance that gives the lobby a wet, mildewy, chlorine smell. "Give them a chance"
While the road in to this hotel isn't great(due to construction and last year's flood situation along the river), this place is clean and the staff is very friendly. The complementary breakfast is better than most. Despite it's closeness to the interstate, soundproofing is good enough to allow you a good night's sleep.
