      I found this hotel to be very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and contained a newer microwave and larger than usual fridge. Countertops and decor appeared to be updated. The down sides were small things; fitted sheet a little too small for a deep mattress so corners kept popping off, mattress pad was also too small and kept wrinkling up under us, single serve coffee maker with only 1 serving of regular coffee in a double occupancy room and towels were at a premium with only 2 in the room and those appeared to be old and worn with one being frayed. But they were clean. Sometimes it's the little things that can make the biggest difference between a good experience and a great experience.

      Stay was great. Room was clean. Only negative thing was the blankets on the bed. Like sleeping with a burlap bag. Need some softer blankets.We will stay again when in the area but might bring our own blankets.

      There were many more eating establishments besides just a BBQ. There is Wendy's, Denny's. McD's, White Castle'. These were omitted in earlier reviews. For the price its a deal.

    the workout room was a bit small and it didn't have the key for the treadmill available to use. We couldn't figure out the hot tub so maybe putting up some instructions would be nice. However the hotel did take some off our bill which was nice. We stayed in room 202 and when you first walk in the room it smells like rotten fruit or vegetables.     Stayed here a year ago and returned this year because of the closness to Ball State University we were pleasantly surprised with the remodeled rooms and new carpet. Everything was clean and neat. Nice place to stay.

    I can say the staff was friendly. The hotel itself was run down. The treadmill in the fitness room was broken, and noone knew what happened or how to fix it. At breakfast, food was put out, but nothing was cleaned or kept up as the morning progressed, so it was unclean. Price was reasonable for the accomadations, but would not stay there again.

    This motel was just ok, nothing really wrong, just satisfactory. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, so I wouldn't stay there again because of that.

    How bad could it be? We just needed a place to sleep after a party at a friend's house. We knew it wouldn't be fancy—we just wanted a clean room with a bed. Let's start with the hospitality. Or the lack thereof. The one woman who seems to run the front desk as well as the breakfast seems to be doing too many jobs. And it's making her slow and a bit […] surly. I did not feel welcome. I seemed to be a burden, and this was reinforced by the many signs that rather bluntly told me to keep the food in the breakfast area because it's too hard to clean the rest of the hotel. The room smelled clean. The stench of disinfectant hung in the air, but the toilet seat in our room had urine on it. I'm not sure where they find decor this hideous. Ornate orange comforters with burgundy carpet and a recliner from 1972. There's good news if you like a firm bed. This is the hardest bed I've ever slept on. The "neighborhood" consists of some low-rent apartments and the auxiliary parking for the football stadium. Not scenic, but I suppose very handy if you're going to a game. I will definitely spend the money and go somewhere (anywhere) else next time. For the price, I didn't expect the Ritz. But I thought I would at least seem welcome. Read more
