Beautiful location!! The rooms were very comfortable. The only complaint we had was access to the pool. Unless your room was right by it, you had to walk through the lobby, in front of everyone to get to the pool. But I think this is a minor complaint and the rest of the hotel more than made up for this slight inconvenience.

Beautiful grounds for an older hotel in need of some improvements. The food service is only marginal at best...never hot enough and very expensive. We made this reservation two months ahead of our business trip and paid in advance for a requested king bed room. When we checked in, the receptionist said that they were so busy they would have to put us in a two-bed room on the top floor. We complained and pointed out the advance reservation and payment. After the clerk made a trip to the back room, we were put into the room we had reserved and paid for 60 days in advance. Seems so unnecessary for this foolishness. Returning to our room after a business meeting and dinner the last night, we found a refrigerator had been placed in the room. A call to the front desk caused this surprise to disappear.

Beautiful view of mountains, big atrium (a bit empty of travelers in March). We enjoyed eating both at bar and at restaurant -- not a lot of other options in the immediate area, and none on Sunday, so the good restaurant was a lifesaver.

I love this hotel's proximity to the Red Buttes Botanic Garden and to it's location up in the foothills--it feels like a retreat, and it has great views of the mountains and the cityscape below. Beds are very comfy and staff is friendly and helpful. This time, it took 24 hrs and several requests to get my refrigerator delivered and installed, but overall I really like this hotel.

A very nice hotel in a spectacular setting. Very quiet. Staff was very helpful. The room was spotless. The only negative: the rug, while clean, was a bit old. The price of quiet: the hotel is in the roomiest office park I've ever seen: there's nothing commercial nearby. (The closest office buildings are hundreds of feet away). But you're only 10-15 minutes from downtown. You'll need a car.

For my first trip to SLC I decided on this hotel, just based on the reviews of the other people from hotels.com. And the reviews were dead on. This hotel has a great location right next to the university of Utah. The neighborhood is safe and clean, and just a short drive to the airport. The bed was beyond comfortable, the views of the mountains were great, and the staff was excellent. Also there is a starbucks in the lobby!!

I hope that my outstanding review of your hotel does not inspire you to raise your rates! We had a really pleasant stay, and felt the cost was very competitive. The location was most convenient for us, as we were visiting our son who is a student at the University and attending a football game with him. We had a lovely view of the mountains from our window, a comfy bed, and the people who served us in the hotel were very gracious and accommodating. Thank you.

A very nice setting convenient to large corporations nearby and the University of Utah. The location was, though, hard to find with Mapquest's confusing directions. Average food quality and only average room cleanliness. Air conditioning was not up to the task in our sunny east-facing room. Cheerful and polite staff helped make this a good experience.
