Great place to stay. Staff was very accommodating. Still don't understand why Marriott charges for internet services. These should be included in the room rate.

The Marriott in Preston was a delightful place to stay. The close proximaty to various motorways made for an ideal location. The mix of business and holiday cliental made things rather interesting. Stayed up for a wedding - staff were fantastic , had a great room at the front of the hotel , could have done with better blackout curtains as the front of house security lights leaked in a lot. Dissapointed at lack of free WiFi. Otherwise a great stay.

Nicely maintained hotel in spacious grounds. plenty of parking Pool, fitness centre etc .Rooms clean andwell maintained if rather unexciting. Make sure breakfast is included in the deal otherwise costs £15 each. English buffet b'fast is nice and hot, plenty of pastries not much healthy stuff though? It was a nice hotel and for the price I paid, excellent...Clean room, good breakfast and helpful staff. Just two things - My booking did not go through completely so had to pay for breakfast when I shouldnt have. Secondly for some reason, did not get my welcome reward point for the stay.

The actual stay was very short and we booked on the basis of getting value for money (just short of £60.00 to sleep for the night). The accommodation was fine some missing condiments but otherwise ok, however!! When booking in we were told that if we required breakfast there would be an extra £15 plus each charge. The room was all that we needed for a two night stay but for a longer stay another easy chair would be welcome. Breakfast buffet was excellent, very good selection of food, hot and cold, well presented and attentive staff. Eggs were cooked at the buffet and food was hot . We were very impressed by this hotel, which is only minutes from J32 of the M6. We had telephoned ahead for an early entry to change before a wedding. The staff were on the ball and we parked right outside to check-in, then moved the car to the rear to access our wing. The room was large, but cosy warm ( it was threatening snow that weekend) Plent of […] hangar space, with and iron and board. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was extra large and had a super thread count, as the sheets were so silky. Only drawback was that the sound from the TV was also drawn into the bathroom - when the sound was muted, it still echoed around the bathroom and no-one on reception knew how to cut it off. We used the leisure facilties the next day. They seemed quite new. The changing room floor was not kept dry and so it seemed a little messy. Only given a ground floor accesible room, no options so why when booking was that not made clear? room was fine, bathroom door (sliding) kept jamming so wouldn't close and no lock. wheelchair assitance bars around the bath, didn't portray the luxury/romantic feel hoped for. asked at bar for bottles of water, was sold 2 small bottles at £2 each. went […] back for another and was offered a litre bottle for £4 - apart for being expensive for water, why was I ripped off with small bottles earlier? Only stayed for one night only, but I was very happy with the service, room and faculties. The hotel is ideally located as a stopping off point within easy reach from Junction 31 of the M6. I have no complaints and I would recommend the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location and rooms are clean and well maintained but it was the little things that let it down. The Receptionist on check in gave wrong times for the opening hours of the leisure club. She asked if we wanted a newspaper and we requested the Telegraph. Booked into this hotel for a last minute short stay, requested a disabled friendly room but none available, receptionist put my wife and I in a ground floor room and had housekeeping remove the excess table and chair from the room to make space for a wheelchair, couldn't have asked for better service than that.

WE stayed just for the one night while travelling around the mid north. Good base to visit the local area, Close enough to visit Blackpool (should you really want to) but far enough away if not. Great breakfast and staff were very pleasant. Free on-site parking a bonus!

The hotel is in a lovely settings. On arrival, the staff were very polite and helpful. The room is good size and more importantly, not too hot or cold. We chose this hotel because we were visiting relatives. The check in (and out) was easy and efficient with pleasant staff. When we mentioned that we did not want to be near the function room as we had heard that it could be a bit noisy the receptionist immediately moved us to a quiet area of the hotel on the 2nd floor. The room had 2 double beds and […] was spotlessly clean. The window catch was broken and we could not get the window to lock shut - although it did stay in the closed position. Reported the fault in the morning and they had someone see to it right away. I thought I had booked bed and breakfast but it transpired I had only booked the room. I was told I could take breakfast and book it to the room - the first morning I did this I got a phone call from reception to say that I had to pay for it at reception (why wasn't this sorted out when I arrived and asked about this?). Having decided to take breakfast […] in my room, on 2 evenings I had to phone for a breakfast card to be delivered to the room (1 evening I had to phone over an hour later before it was delivered but room service should have done this). On 1 morning it was delivered at least 5 minutes after the end of the requested period - I pointed this out when I checked out and I was still changed for it (the breakfast card makes clear that it is free if it is delivered late) so I had to return to reception to get the refund I had requested, delaying me further.
