I only had 2 complaints. One morning coffee was in the lobby from 6 to 9. Great for business but not for tourists. Also there is no Wifi in the rooms only in the lobby areas.

We loved our stay here. The hotel was very elegantly updated. We arrived late on a Sunday night and had a wonderful meal and drink in the hotel bar.The bath products were amazing. We would definitely go back there again.

Checking in my wife wanted a room with a bath tub & after contacting some staff the front desk found a room for us with a tub! The concierge desk was alway helpful in dining & site seeing suggestions and making reservations. We were always greeted with smilling doormen. We really enjoyed our stay.

TV Broken. Could not watch in evening and Maint came in the morning after we had room service and were leaving. Disappointing.

An overall satisfying experience. But, the only disappointing one came with the staff at the restaurant. Quite dreadful service, no traces of feeling welcome and very unattended food, by the way. A pity to have received a good service from several employees, but not from the restaurant.

A true pleasure. The hotel is in an ideal location, two blocks from the White House and very close to The Mall. I had stayed at the St. Regis before and it was even lovelier than i remembered. The staff was polite and welcoming and accommodated my requests in a timely fashion. My room was cozy, comfortable and beautiful. The bathroom was quite small- […] definitely not enough room for my toiletries- though the tub was quite comfortable. The bath products were fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed my extremely pricey meal at Adour, although the portions were so painfully small that I was still hungry after I finished. When I mentioned this to the manager, she allowed me to choose another item from the menu, which I did. I will definitely use Hotels.com to book a room here the next time my plans take me to Washington. Read more

The hotel was beautiful, alive with energy yet quiet at the same time. I booked the Metropolitan Suite and got upgraded to the St. Regis Suite for free. We had tickets to see Russell Peters at Cobstitution Hall and almost didn't want to leave the room lol. The St. Regis is a wonderful hotel! I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the night time turn down service with classic music playing when I returned to my room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again!!

Got two nights at this St. Regis location and I couldn't ask for more as a tourist with its location pretty much in the heart of DC. Two subway stations two blocks away to get you access to pretty much every part of the city. DC is a small city so if you really wanted you can walk to the national mall as you are only two blocks north of it and go from […] there. I don't know if this is for all of DC but the surrounding area turns into a ghost town after 7-8 pm and its kind of a problem looking for a place to eat if you decide not to eat at the in house restaurant. And if you don't want to over indulge on their breakfast at the restaurant good luck finding a quick breakfast on the go! It seems like a deli that makes egg sanwiches and the like are completely non existent. Maybe its the peoples tastes but a ton of money could be made just look at New York. Beds are fantastic. Bathrooms are made with quality materials and look nice. The whole thing with the stool to get in the bathtub/ shower didn't bother me. I had a free Wall Street Journal waiting in from of the door each morning which was nice. Don't bother paying for WiFi as hotel cell reception is great. If you drove like me valet can take care of you for $45 a day or just find a garage and park yourself for half of that as there are a handful within a two block radius. All in all they seem to know what they are doing and are proactive and on top of things the way it is run. Excellent choice to stay and sight see in DC. Read more

For some reason, the metropolitan suite reservation didn't show up in the St. Regis system, and all the met-suites were booked when we arrived. The front desk 2 women were very gracious and gave us a comp upgrade to the St Regis Suite which was humongous! Needless to say this really enhanced our experience for 3 nights. We stayed in the Metropolitan Suite. A nice large room with good light. Randomly it appeared that our King was actually two single pushed together (there was a berm between the two beds). Another off find was the open safety pin found by the desk on the floor. Biggest issue is that as of this week the bar is undergoing MAJOR work (12/17/2012). I stayed in the hotel for 5 days and I thought the hotel and staff were amazing. Perfectly located only two blocks from the White House and long walking distance to most of the monuments. The only problem we had was that my first room was located close enough to the bar remodel that I could hear a ping ping noise early in the morning. Really enjoyed Old Ebbits Grill as it exuded the energe of Washington DC with a lot of staffers. The food was ok, but a great experience that I wouldn't miss. incredibly loud thru the hallways. could hear too much thru the door and walls. no fan in the bathroom, terrible lighting in there and way too cramped. for a one king bed room it was kind of small and cramped as well. air unit is worthless. the room was too dark and the chandelier had lights missing. and why have a 6pm champagne if no one gets any?

I will definitely stay at the St. Regis in D.C. again. The hotel's restaurant Adour is wonderful, the concierge was very helpful with finding me a cigar bar in the area. The room was immaculate, everything you would expect from a St. Regis hotel.

I was surprised that there was no bath in the room. The bed was very hard, which made it difficult to sleep on my side. I had asked for hypoallergenic pillows, which were not there. There was no iron or ironing board in the room.

The bathrooms are hardly big enough for 1 person. There was no space to put anything in the bathroom. There was no tub. The pipes in the wall knocked for 10 minutes every time we flushed the toilet. The workers were always holding out their hands for tips. Bummer!

From Check-in to Check-out the Hotel experience was wonderful. I travel about half the year and this hotel was not only nicer than many, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location, being about 3 blocks from the White House was also great for sightseeing.

It's close enough to the National Mall, museums, and memorials that you can walk anywhere in 10 to 30 minutes or just grab a cab. This is not a 5-Star property. The desk clerk could not locate my reservation by name. I had to dig around and find my confirmation code to show him. The clerk assigned me to a room that turned out to be directly over a wedding dance party. After returning from dinner, we had to move to another room. The clerk offered us two complimentary continental […] breakfasts as a courtesy for the inconvenience. The second room was not fully stocked with linens and soap, and the shower fixture needed maintenance. On check-out, the courtesy breakfast was not honored, as previously promised. On a very quiet Sunday morning, the valet took over 20 minutes to bring my car. I don't think this is a full-service St. Regis hotel. It might be a franchise.
