Good hotel, great location right on the slopes, nice pool/hot tub area with views on the mountain. Rooms are somewhat on the smaller side, but good overall.Genuine Expedia guest review
parking is expensive 30$ a day, but great place, very well located, nice people, music, art, health club and pool. Free valet ski service - wonderful. Free shuttle to village. kids and us we enjoy staying there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Fairmont in Whistler is Wonderful!"
Loved the hotel, the location to town and ski in/ski out ability!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Can't wait to visit again"
The saddest part was leaving the bed. We had the king size bed on the fourth floor. Amazingly comfortable. Concierge was always super helpful. They were able to give accurate directions to anywhere we wanted to go, great restaurant recommendations and overall very friendly. In fact, all staff at the hotel were always friendly and genuinely wanted to […] make sure the guests had a great time. Hotel has a shuttle bus that comes by every 10-15 minutes to take you to the center of the village. The ski in ski out was also super convenient. I can't wait for next season so that I can stay at the Fairmont again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The best service I'd ever experienced"
Not only was the hotel beautiful, I just can't get over how kind the staff was. It was as though everyone went out of their way to make sure I had a great time, and they succeeded! I've stayed at many hotels in the Whistler/Blackcomb area and the Fairmont is really the best and most convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Will not stay here again...or any other Fairmont"
This hotel is not worth the excessive prices they charge. Everything was over-priced for the quality offered. The concierge was surly and exceedingly unhelpful, the ski lessons (private) were lackluster and ridiculously priced (10X what they pay the actual instructor, so no wonder they don't give their all), the phone and hair dryer were broken when […] I arrived, the fitness room was more like a closet with minimal equipment, and the "heated" indoor/outdoor pool was not, unless you are a penguin. Furthermore, add $13.95 per day for internet connection in the room, when other, less expensive hotels offered free connections. Also, since the Vancouver airport is 60+ miles away, add $30-$35 per night to park your car, even as you pay outrageous prices for your room, lift passes, rentals, and lessons. And the cherry on top - there was an unidentified creature in my room, although it did leave quickly. It obviously thought the accommodations were over-priced, as well. Upon investigation the hotel staff could find no trace of it, of course. For all the hype this hotel received and as highly rated as it is, it was very disappointing overall, and I would highly suggest that you spend your money elsewhere. "Our Favorite Place to Ski in the World"
Chateau Whistler is an idyllic place to stay for a ski in/out experience with 100% pedestrian access to all shops, restaurants, etc. The attentiveness, professionalism and politeness are not to be surpassed. And, it stays that way, year after year. And, the weather in and around Whistler/Blackcomb virtually guarantees ample snow all year and the most […] runs and vertical drop in North America. "Great Hotel, but very busy"
The hotel was great, albeit with a few exceptions. When we stayed there, they had full occupancy, which meant that the pool and jacuzzi's were overburdened with people and uncomfortable. We were also placed in the farthest room from the elevator which was a trek to get to back and forth. Other than the above, which may have been situation related, the […] hotel did have very good facilities and was very comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The Best First-Class Hotel to stay in Whistler"
This is a fantastic place to stay in Whistler if you want a first-class hotel experience. The hotel is a beautiful and comfortable facility. The staff was exceptional, and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We had an injury when we stayed there, and we the hotel staff did what they could to make the situation much better and actually […] enjoyable despite the situation. The Ski-in and Ski out location couldn't be better, the walking distance to Whistler village is perfect. The only negative comment is that the food and drinks on premises were expensive compared to establishments just a few steps away. All in all, I will DEFINITELY be returning! "Perfect Ski Getaway"
Whistler is an awesome place to ski and the Fairmont is nicely tucked in Upper Village, away from the noise of the young party scene. Romantic walk to the village, stellar service throughout the hotel - from the bar to the concierge to the ski valet. Definitely will be back!Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location, great service. Very helpful staff. Really fun hot tub area-a must after snowboarding/skiing. Would definitely recommend!Genuine Expedia guest review
Every single person we met was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we drove up to the moment we drove away. 4 hot tubs, spa, gym, concierge ski service, valets, and the best cocktails we've had in British Columbia. Ironically, the room was the least expensive thing we paid for, and the incidentals did add up quite quickly- personally, I don't […] like being nickel-and-dimed for things like parking, etc. Fortunately that wasn't enough to diminish a fantastic weekend. "Winner Hotel at Whistler!"
We arrived at the Chateau Whistler with our little 5-year-old granddaughter. She was thrilled to be staying in a "castle" and decided that, for the time we were there, she was to be called Princess Sophia. The front desk staff were so friendly and kind not only to us but also to her. We enquired about transportation to the Peak to Peak Gondola and were […] told it would be no trouble for a hotel employee to drive us down there. This was especially appreciated as my husband has had a stroke and has difficulty walking. We were given a late check-out so we would have time to take the gondolas there and back. Our experience at this hotel was outstanding. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I couldn't believe they charged for WiFi. One charge for WiFi and more for plugging in to their network. THe WiFi was slow and did not work some of the time. I complained and they refunded my WiFi money. But it put me in a lousy mood and had an adverse affect on my opinion of the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect - Except For Internet"
The Fairmont Whistler is a beautiful hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel is also pet-friendly, so you can bring your pet with you. The only area of improvement needed is the Internet service, which was sporadic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for 5-star accommodations at a fair price.Genuine Expedia guest review

"paper thin walls!!!! poor value."
I am a 20 year local in Whistler, We booked a night at the Fairmont for the location and the pool that our 2 young girls enjoyed. During the night our neighboring lock off unit was in full swing, it sounded like they were in the double bed next to me at some pay be the hour hotel!! this carried on for an hour......I wished that I had a video to play […] back to the front desk attendant that brushed it off when we departed the next day. We also paid $80 in parking.....2 vehicles we would have parked in lot 4 didn't realize that it wasn't included in the fee. Response by The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Thank you for taking the time to share your comments in regards to your experience at our property. Please accept our sincere apologies and regret in failing to meet your expectations regarding your visit. We were concerned to learn that your guestroom experience was less than relaxing and that you felt the front desk agent wasn't attentive, that is certainly not the service we strive for. We were also disappointed to hear that you weren't informed of our parking charges upon check-in. As a local to Whistler, we do hope that you are able to visit again in the near future so that we can restore your faith in our brand and have the opportunity to demonstrate the true, high level of service we are known for.

"Still love the hotel, our room and service was oka"
Overall, I love this hotel. But the room we were assigned was somewhat out of date, with no fan in the bathroom, and older shower and faucet. Also, and I guess this was because it was a busy weekend, we got no cleaning service our first day (a Sat) even though we were out of the room for the better part of the day. Second day, they cleaned the room […] except didn't notice the glasses, both wine and drinking and left the dirty ones. They did bring fresh ones when asked. Just kind of sloppy for this particular hotel. Love the Mallard lounge. The pool and sauna are lovely. The location is amazing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms are not worth the price"
The lobby, bar and pool / hot tub area was excellent. However, the room was not worth the price. It was dated, did not have a balcony, Internet was not included; parking was extra, couldn't watch the Canucks game because HD TV was not working, there were no robes in the room because they had "run out" so had to wait until there were some available and […] then they only brought 1 robe even though there were 3 of us in the room (paid extra for an extra adult) so we had to call a second time to get more robes. Would not stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Ski-In Ski-Out Location"
Exceptional hotel and common facilities. I was looking for a 4 star+ hotel in Whistler with a great pool for swimming/laps and the Fairmont was it. "5 Star ski to you hotel"
This is a fantastic place to stay. I stayed in their most basic room and it was excellent. Really comfortable beds, friendly staff, excellent pool, gym and health club. The downstairs bar is great. Breakfast is a bit pricey at $32 plus tax, but it's one of the best I have had and means you only need a quick snack at lunch. A cheaper alternative is to […] go to Portobello's: the cafe downstairs, to get a pastry, bacon sandwich, punnet of fruit etc and a coffee for breakfast and you can still book this to your room. You can ski straight to the hotel and there is a valet service for skis and boots, plus you can hire everything from here too at the same rates as in the village. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the village, but there is a regular shuttle that runs until 10:30pm. That said the walk is very well lit and is quite nice after a meal and goes over the river/creek. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Best hotel ever!"
I cannot speak highly enough of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. This is our second stay at this hotel, and both times, the rooms, staff and service have been well beyond our expectations. This time we stayed for 12 nights, and upon arrival were greeted with the very pleasant surprise of having our room upgraded. I had been in contact with the concierge […] prior to our arrival to organize ski rentals, lift passes and hockey tickets. - nothing was too much trouble and my queries answered quickly (special mention to Damien, Louanne, & Joanne at the concierge desk - you guys are fantastic). Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. The location is great with easy access to the village and the ski lifts out the back of the hotel. There is also a free shuttle bus into the village if you do not want to walk. Whilst it may be a higher price than some of the other hotels in Whistler, it is certainly worth the money. Perfect, unless you have a car you would like to park for the weekend ($35/night), wireless devices you need to use ($16/24hrs), or decide to have a meal in your room (2x what the menu states).
