Spent three days at the hotel to attend a conference in Mesa. Other than driving to the conference, I was able to park my car and walk to many fine eating establishments, adjacent to the hotel. Also, being a runner, there is a complex across the street with paths and ponds to run about.

We arrived late in the evening and it was very nice not to have a long drive to get to our hotel. Another feature we enjoyed was the Buffalo Wild Wings within walking distance. The room was nice. Be sure to take your ear plugs with you if you stay on the freeway side of the hotel. Freeway noise, particularly motorcycle noise was terrible, and is 24/7. Beds were too soft, but room was clean. Convenient location.

We checked in on the 28th of December 2012 about 7PM. When open our room door, a sewer smell hit us. The window was wide open. We asked the front desk if we can change rooms, they said only smoking room left. So we stay in that sewer smelling room, Couldn't sleep good, by 3AM we had to open the curtain and window in a very cold temperature night. Mesa, AZ: When we checked-in there was dog kibble on the bathroom floor and a cigar wrapper next to the bed. We threw the wrapper away and left the kibble on the bathroom floor. We stayed 6 nights -- the kibble was still on the bathroom floor when we checked out. The toilet paper dispenser had no spindle for the paper roll. The elevator panel "short-circuited" […] and was down for 2 days. Staff said that happened frequently. We were assured by front desk that our room would be cleaned and housekeeping was on the floor when we left. No housekeeping. We had to get our own towels from the front desk 3 of the 6 days we stayed. I have stayed at La Quinta Inns in Montana and Idaho and was totally satisfied with my experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that I received a call at 1:30 am from the front desk asking if I had a crying baby in my room. I could hear the baby and it was coming from a room down the hall. The staff should have walked the floor to determine the location of the crying baby before calling and waking me up.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations. The hotel met my expectations in all areas except the handle to switch the shower to the detachable head (handicapped room) was blocked by a safety bar (which prevented adequate water flow). Since I specifically needed a handicapped room for my elderly mother […] that shortcoming impacted my score for "comfort of your room". Some other items of note: all the pillows in the room were soft so if you prefer something firmer you will not be satisfied. We enjoyed our stay, the room was good & the refrig & microwave were a plus. The pool & breakfast area was wonderful. It was centrally located (next to a highway-road noise was a small problem). Close to shopping & restaurants we will be back.

It's nothing super fancy but it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The kids all loved making their own waffles. The hotel is right along the side of freeway which could be good or bad. In our case it was convenient to everything.

I have stayed in a La Quinta hotel before and never been disappointed. The room was clean and the pool was nice. The best thing about this stay was the staff. Very accommodating and took us to the restaurant of our choice in the shuttle and picked us up when we were done. There are a lot of restaurants on this road and a lot more within a mile or two. […] It was also in a great location if you are flying in and out of the Gateway airport. Paper thin walls, every voice and door close from hall sounded like it was in our room. Fairly clean, friendly staff. Breakfast so so. No juice or milk for 30 mins. Guess for the money it was ok.

there was a dust storm that blew through just minutes before our check in.. we were disappointed the pool was closed for repairs but very delighted that the hotel had made arrangements for us to go to another very close by hotel to use the pool, they even had a shuttle to take us back and forth.

We did not know that LaQuinta was animal friendly. We can tolerate dogs in the hotel (there was some barking), but cannot tolerage dogs in the breakfast room!!!!
