Very clean room but there was way too much noise outside. There was a dog next door that wouldn't stop barking! overall the location is GREAT! it's very close to almost everything. Good restaurants around the area as well. Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Personnel were warm and welcoming. Check In and Out was quick and accurate. Rooms are larger than most. Pool was clean and warm. Mel's Diner at the front of the hotel is great for family dining!

This hotel fit all our needs for a two night stay. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was decent, beds were very comfortable. Only complaint was that you could hear everything that people were saying from the rooms next to you. Very loud.

First of all, my grading system is that 3 is what you would expect from an average hotel. To get 1's or 5's they really have to be way above the norm to receive that grade from me. I went on line and like everyone and I read the reviews and looked at the pictures. They were what I would expect for a hotel that charged a $100+ a night for a room. In […] a resort area, the prices can be inflated for what you would normally expect. The picture of the lobby was true to reality. The room however was not close to my expectations. If the room they pictured actually existed, it was not on the side of the hotel I stayed in. The carpet was frayed and pulling away from the base board. The door did not fit the jam properly (there was a large enough space that you could actually see outside). I asked for a non-smoking room but when I checked in they said they did not have any available. The room smelled so badly that I went to Wal-Mart and bought some air freshners. Unfortunately, my reservation was prepaid and I was not able to cancel the reservation without losing my payment. Fortunately this was only a couple of days of a two week trip. I did stay at another La Quinta in a different city later on that was perfectly fine. I would never go back to this hotel. I will pay $20-50 more a night and stay at a different hotel than stay here. If 0's or negative numbers were available I would have to use them in some parts of the review. Read more

Convenient and economical hotel for meeting up with friends (comfortable pool on site and restaurant right next door). Our only disappointment was that all flight boarding passes could not be accessed and printed (only those for certain airlines). We simply walked into a nearby hotel and printed our boarding passes there.

I didn't stay but an hour to use the internet and book a different hotel. This is a Dump. The front desk basically told me I booked late (2 weeks prior!!) and put me in a smoking room when I booked non-smoking. I promptly booked a different hotel. This place is a dump don't stay here

we had a smoking room as requested but it had an odd odor. it wasn't a smoke odor, i think it might have been the rug. found out later there was a dog in the next room, so i guess it was a pet friendly hotel. staff was very friendly bed was comfy but had the same odor.

They assured us they had semi parking. Got into lot, took us hour to get around building. Then upon check out, we had to wait 3 hours for cars from restaurant to move so we coupd get out. Does this sound trucker friendly to you? Also pool was closed. Who goes to FL and doesnt want to swim in 80° weather!

Criminal activity was transpiring on the premises. I was approached. Bathtub didn't even have a plug in it. Bathroom door was decaying at the bottom. Toilet was working properly. Fridgerator was rusted on bottom few inches of the door. Not the La Quinta experience I was expecting/have experienced in the past.

THIS HOTEL HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED IN YEARS, OUR ROOM WAS AT THE VERY BACK END OF THE HOTEL. WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE WHERE WE WERE. THERE WERE PEOPLE WORKING OUTSIDE OF OUR ROOM AT 7 IN THE MORNING MAKING LOTS OF NOISE. THE TV DID NOT WORK IN THE MORNING. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WITH DIRECTIONS.

The first room we checked into was very smelly, I could not even breath in the room, it smelled like dog urine and smoke. I called the desk and the check in girl was very nice and did apologize, and she offered me another room. The second room was better than the first but still smelly. It was tolerable so we stayed. Would not stay there again.

Of all the hotels we have ever stayed, the bed in LaQuinta was the most comfortable and we actually got restful sleep. Our king room was complete with a mini refrigerator, microwave, flat screen tv, and writing desk and chair. Very spacious and very clean.

This hotel was adequate. I spent 4 nights here and it was 3 nights too many. The air conditioner smelled, the carpet was worn in many areas, and the lamps and furniture looked like they were from Goodwill. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was probably the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. I loved the sound conditioner feature on the TV-- listening to the ocean waves while falling asleep was just lovely. I would highly reccommend this hotel, whether for one night or several. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Ft. Myers.

The stay was fine. I would have like a frig and microwave but there was not one in our room, however, I discovered that some rooms do have them. I had a pet with me and there was no additional charge for that which I appreciated.
