Everything was great except for one thing. The luggage carts were nowhere to be found. When I asked the receptionist they just made excuses about people taking them into their rooms and not returning them. I had to carry down 300 pounds of boxes from my room at 7 AM in the morning to catch a plane. Room decor was nice, however no hot water in the tub made me care less about coordinating patterns and window treatments and more of the inconvenience of having to take a cold shower at 5:00 am. The grounds outside the hotel featured an abandoned shopping cart. It made me wonder about the neighborhood as I drove away.

This stay at Laquinta was indeed my most favorite. This was not my first time at this location, but it was my first time since their renovation. Awesome is the best thing I can say. VERY Comfortable beds, New carpets, curtains, the works.....They also have a new convenience store. Very expensive, but good to have just in case. The hotel itself was fine. It was in a very scary area and I was happy to see a Police Officer who parked out front and stayed all night. The location is very convenient with the freeway and restaurants close by, but I did not feel safe at all in the hotel itself.

The hotel was very nice. Great location, near to a shopping center. I had a room with a nice view but couldn't enjoy it because of dirty windows. Housekeepers very loud. This was the fifth La Quinta we stayed in during a week travelling from Dallas Fort Worth. Lovely location but our journey from the airport seemed more like 9 miles than the advertised 2.6m. Not a major problem but the pick up was disastrous. We called the hotel from the airport three times in total over a period of an hour! We were told to stand in […] the wrong place and this meant when the shuttle did arrive he drove straight past us ... after an hour's wait this was really not funny! We both had a sense of humour failure at this point. The driver when he eventually linked up with us was not apologetic at all and indeed did nothing to improve our overall impression of the establishment. On arriving, the receptionist hurriedly checked us in and again no real apology. Lovely room, overlooking a lake so no problem with physical nature of hotel. Next morning we ask about return to airport but with only one shuttle on the hour the timings were no good to us. We ordered a taxi rather than face the challenge of mis-timing of shuttle and the surly driver. However, when the driver arrived, the receptionist had disappeared and he went looking for her only to have no luck and eventually we got together by just approaching men who appeared to be taxi drivers and wandering through hotel reception. As we had an early flight to catch and were concerned about the length of the journey which had taken 25 mins the previous day, we just left. However, this time the journey was under 10 minutes door to door and well worth the $30! This was the most expensive La Quinta we stayed and the least friendly, service driven and could not compare to our other experiences. Only stay here if you are happy to put up with poor service. We were going on a cruise the next day, so I booked this hotel for the ability to park for free and get a shuttle ride to the port. We had a fine experience with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Best part was that we got a ride to Port Everglades for free! Although it is listed as an airport hotel, the cab fare was $24 from the airport (we came in after midnight and the shuttle doesn't run after 11)... it's not super close to the airport!
