We generally stay in Marriotts, but I was tired of paying Marriott prices, so I chose the La Quinta instead. For the price, you get a lot more at LQ...breakfast, wi-fi included. There isn't a significant difference between the accomodations of the Marriott Courtyard and the LQ. So overall I was pleased with our stay.

The LaQuinta - Greenville is VERY nice. The room was clean and comfortable and quite large. There was a microwave and little refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. We tend to prefer to walk after a long drive. The hotel was an easy walk to a large shopping mall and several restaurants (but you can't assume S. Carolina drivers will yield to pedestrians […] regardless of a clearly lit "WALK" light!). The hotel is also convenient to I-385 which gives you a straight shot right into Greenville. I was very disappointed in the service. The room was up to date and clean when I arrived. However, I was there for two nights and there was no evidence that the cleaning staff made any attempt at servicing the room. Just because I hung up my towels and left the "clean sheets please" sign off of the pillow shouldn't mean they don't make the bed, empty […] the trash cans, or wipe the counters in the bathroom. This was such a nice hotel. We were moving from Austin, TX to Raleigh, NC. We had been driving all day when we got to the hotel. Front desk wasvery helpful with check in and food delivery in area. They even had a printout they gave us. The main reason we stayed at La Quinta is they allow up to 2 pets and there is no pet fee. The layout of the room was great and it appeared to be nearly new. very clean and comfortable. The only downfall(s) was the breakfast didn't have much to offer... the normal waffles, cereal and yogurt but not much more. One other thing that would have been better is if the pool was indoors but in the summer it is probably a great pool.

The price of the hotel room was very reasonable and the room was very clean and comfortable and modern. I do have a couple of suggestions to the hotel: 1) offer more stations and possibly add pay per view movies and 2) add some kind of meat to the breakfast bar. Nice clean hotel and rooms. Walls were thin and could hear conversations too much. The breakfast was cereal, bagels, waffles, boiled eggs, and not much else, but good quality. Fitness center looked nice.

Asked for a taxi o take me to the Greyhound station and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they had a shuttle that would take me there free of charge. Clean, good location, pleasant staff. I was slightly skeptical as there had been some mixed reviews of the hotel; however we were very pleased. 2 things: Internet ad I looked at did not mention that Pool and Jacuzzi was Seasonal, so it was not available for my Nov. No Meat served at breakfast buffet.

Excellent hotel. Will stay again. Only issue was the housekeeper forgot to stock the coffee maker on day 2. The staff offered rides to the grocery store and nearby restaurants which was very helpful since I had flown in for annual maintenance and not rented a car.

This was the nicest LaQuinta I have ever stayed at. It was very clean, the staff was great, location was great, but the great location also meant very heavy traffic. The hotel cannot do anything about that, but if you stay here, plan on waiting on stop lights.

Overall, it was a good stay. I have stayed at other area hotels though and like them a bit more. My room was a little musty, and turning the a/c on didn't really help at all. The breakfast was ok - the only hot thing was the waffle you make yourself. Everything was a little too spread-out. (just move the bagel case & knives, forks and spoons to the […] toaster area).
