Robertson Quay Hotel - Singapore

I used this hotel as a stop over. The room is good for this. The rooms are small, but clean and quiet. It's located in a good neighborhood, along the Singapore River. There isn't much room for luggage, and you might struggle for room if there are 2 staying in the room. But for the price and the location, it's excellent

R. Quay is a very good hotel for the price. Nice outdoor pool and slide. Very near River Walk and expensive eating and drinking establishments. Beer between $12 - $17. Really! Starbucks and 7/11 just down the street.

The Hotel is in a great location but the rooms are small and old. For someone looking for a good internet connection and a bed, this hotel will suffice. Anything longer than a night or two would be a push. My suggestion would be to look elsewhere.

Good location, OK view (most to another building), small rooms, basic breakfast, high rates (that's Singapore). Internet is extra. No shampoo in the room!! Even cheap motels almost always have shampoo!!

The rooms are small y the showers are extremely small, but the hotel is only a short 5 minute walk to Clarke Quey (restaurants y nightlife). This hotel has an excellent location and great views in Robertson Quay on the river. The hotel is older, so the finishes are a little dated and worn, but the carpet was newer and clean. I chose this hotel because it was cheaper then the other hotels in Singapore and it looked nice and was by the river and I was only staying in Singapore for one night. The room was bad and I wore socks the whole time I was in the room because the carpet didn't look very clean. The room itself is very small and not much room for anything. This is a conveniently located hotel and relatively cheap compared to others available in Singapore. The staff are friendly and courteous. TV, Internet connection in the room and WiFi connection in the cafeteria/lounge area worked without problems. Hot drinks in your room are inclusive and simple to make, with a good quality electric water heater and […] typical packets of coffee, etc. However, you get what you pay for. The rooms are cramped. The beds are narrow and on the short side - so if you're over 6 feet (180 cm) tall, your feet will be off the end. The toilet facilities, too, are cramped and you need to be careful how you use the shower to avoid flooding everything. The hotel and fixtures are old and plain but at least the things that matter are clean and hygienic (sheets, bathroom, cafeteria). Like many buildings in Singapore, the air conditioning is fierce, and the only method of control is to either have it switched on or off - there was no thermostat temp. control. Although breakfast is complementary, the selection is very narrow, the same every day and bland. The milk is sterilized, so black coffee tastes much better than white. The saving grace is the tasty egg-fried rice. If you're travelling for business and staying for only 1 or 2 nights, it's OK. If you need to work long hours in your room or just like to enjoy a good hotel and a tasty breakfast, or you're on vacation, this is not the hotel for you. Read more

We checked in at 2am and were met by friendly staff. We immediately had wi-fi issue and staff looked to resolve it quickly. Easy walk to clarke quay for late night fun. Excellent location. Small room and bathroom, but clean. Fitness area was poor. Pool was small but quaint. Buffet was good. Very good value with high marks for location.

This hotel is old and the rooms small. Breakfast was included and was ok but the same everyday. Front desk staff was VERY nice and made the hardship of the small and old room bareable. Location is just minutes walk from Robertson Quay and about 10 minutes walk from Chinatown and much cheaper and more delicious hawker food.

This hotel is situated about 100 yards from the River Walk and about 1/4 of a mile walk from Clark Quay, making the location ideal. The price is good but you get what you pay for. Robertson Quay shows quite well in the photographs. A very clean hotel, and the room was convenient. I think that the hotel could use a bit of touch up and the room was small. Considering time of year and price though I felt it to be a good value.

Very convenient location in downtown Singapore. The cell - or dorm room - is quite tiny, 3 meters by 2 meters. The included breakfast is more than basic. The elevator is five steps above the lobby - yet you're on the Robertson Quay. The room is way too small for two people except perhaps for a tryst.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, and extremely convenient to the places I want to be in Singapore. The service is efficient, and it is always easy to get a taxi, no matter how early in the morning. The breakfast was fine.

The hotel was located in a centrally located area just steps from the Robertson Quay. Even though the bathroom was extremely small, this did not deter from our pleasant stay. We were happy to stay 3 nights in this hotel. We travelled with an infant and we fit really well in the double bed we had booked. Otherwise the room was good but the curtains were really dirty. The hotel is situated next to a river which is surrounded with green park.

The first two rooms we were given were next to each other but were so small we couldn't get all our cases in so we asked to be moved. Reception staff very obliging and we got rooms a few doors apart of a much better size, with lovely river views. Bathroom still very small and shower is a wet room so the floor is always soaking.
