Overall Hotel was average. location was good, cleanliness was good, service was average - we called and asked the receptionist to book a taxi, we went down and waited, it never came, we went to reception to check where it was and she said she never booked one. Nice apartment, coast free car parking, 500 m to the metro, 500 m to a lot of little shops and bars. Only one thing not very nice. No lights at the mirror in the bath. Would book it again.

All the staff were happy and very helpful.Room was cleaned every day. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in while on a holiday.The pool was a great way to relax after a busy day sightseeing.

Booked room for 3 but only had 1 bed. Luckily I bought a bed roll and sleeping bag just in case. Car park swipe card didnt' work for first few days (they had put in wrong dates) and toaster didn't work. Other than that, everything was fine.

Great location, close to transport to the city, a walk to Chapel St and Toorak road - restaurants, shopping etc. Surprisingly quiet location. A little bit of noise from the people coming and going in the next room but not to bad. I would go back there.

In a good location if you don't want to stay in the CBD, with nearby transport (South Yarra Station, trams), and parking was great if you had your own car (no extra cost and we were able to come and go as we pleased all day and night). The "living area" was good as a family as it gave us extra space, and the room was a great size and nice and warm […] in a Melbourne winter! We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again as a family for a trip to Melbourne. Younger couples might prefer a hotel in the CBD, but the "serviced apartment" style is great for families. Read more

the property is fairly close to South Yarra station and has good facilities. it can be noisy because of the train track at the back of the building especially if the bedroom faces the tracks. Also paper thin walls - in the living room you can hear anyone in the corridor unless they're quiet. Medina is well placed in South Yarra. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful but the cleaning standard in the room could be sharper. Unfortunately the pool and gym were being serviced at the time of our visit; there was no alternative pool options offered.

The room was reall< spacious and nice, apart from the mattress which was very soft and the whole bed had wheels. I tried the gym one morning and all it is really is a treadmill, a bike and some dumbbells. It would be hard to exercise there with more than one person. Gladly no one else was there when I was.

We had four nights in the hotel and were in a very nice room with a balcony on the top floor. We had a fantastic view and as we were on the street side we did not hear the trains. The location is fantastic and is very close to South Yarra Station. Toorak Road is a lovely shopping area. I booked a "twin" room, but on arrival discovered we had been given a queen bed - not really suitable for 2 middle-aged friends sharing. We were told that Expedia had not passed the request on to them. They said there were no other rooms available. After unpacking our suitcases, we discovered a large stain on the ceiling in the bedroom with water dripping […] onto a towel on the floor. Obviously the cleaning staff had not reported the problem. While we were given a bottle of wine for the inconvenience, we had to sleep in a less than healthy environment wih the constant annoying sound of dripping water. Hotel management notified us that they would have the leak inspected on day 2 of our stay. This was undertaken while we were out of our room at the Melbourne Cup. However, on our return, we discovered that someone had used the toilet in our room and had failed to "flush" the button, leaving us the task or disposing of someone else's bowel movement. We had tried to find alternate accommodation for our 4 day stay, but as Melbourne was celebrating the Spring Racing Carnival, we found this impossible as everywhere we tried was already booked. The swimming pool at the hotel is very "tired" and less than inviting. The photographs on their web-site are either very old or of another property altogether. We were very disappointed in this so-called "Executive" property. Read more

The hotel is located only 5 min walking distance to Toorak Road and 10 min to Chapel Street. We were aware that there is a train line at the rear of the hotel, so we requested and got a unit facing the street. That is about as good as it gets. The hotel looks much better from the outside, inside it is old and dirty, our 1 BR unit was small, it smelt […] of grime and it clearly had not seen a good clean up for a long time. The furniture are old and worn, the bed must be as old as the hotel, never replaced, the mattress worn out and so soft. But it keeps getting better: We stayed for 3 nights and during our entire stay our bathroom was not cleaned once, nor did the unit see a vacuum cleaner. Their understanding of a serviced apartment is straightening the linen and supplying fresh towels. And please bring your own toilet paper. We made front desk aware of this twice but housekeeping seems to do what they want. We welcomed the 10.00 am check-out, as we could not get out of this place quick enough. Read more
