"Close to the rave"
Perfect location and affordable for going to a show at the rave. Nothing fancy but it works just fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a horrible stay the room was nice but the cleanness was terrible the tub was dirty coffee maker was nasty and also make sure u get everything you need for your stay because after the pantry closes you have to drive a ways to get something as small as a soda no vending nor walking distance store or gas station nearbyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice but to many mistakes."
Hotel was nice and clean, but staff charged my room twice on my credit card and upon check out was charged for beverages from fridge that we never drank.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel at a great price"
Brought the whole family. Stopped in Milwaukee for a concert at the Rave on our way to Chicago. Perfect walking distance to the Rave. Price was unbeatable. Room was roomy and had a cool vibe. The neighborhood is kind of iffy. I went to Marquette so I was comfortable there. Others may not be. Bathroom was a little outdated but everything worked perfectly […] and I slept well. "Sufficient for Newcomers"
We chose the Ambassador Inn because it gave all the luxuries of the Ambassador Hotel but it was across the street. The complimentary shuttle service was top notch, and the complimentary Wi-Fi was handy! It was about 10 minutes away from Marquette University, which is where I needed to be. We went to a local spot that not many people knew about (recommended […] by the front desk clerk) and had a blast. Definitely would do again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Inn, unlike its counterpart The Hotel was a dissapointment. The room, while generally clean, was cramped and small. My raucous neighbors ensured that I wouldn't sleep well in an otherwise comfortable bed (not sure why the walls seemed so hollow). If you book, be sure to choose The Hotel vs. The Inn as they are incomparable... My mistake when booking […] with Hotels.com... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Down the street from The Rave"
We were at a show and booked this hotel because it was within walking distance and was reasonably priced and we were not expecting much. We were actually surprised at how nice the room was for the rate. Breakfast was not much offered however we arrived late and the manager quickly came in to make us a fresh pot of coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Cheap next to The Rave/Eagle's Club"
It's not the nicest hotel you'll ever stay in but if you are going to a show at the Rave and want a cheap place to stay it's great. I wouldn't stay there if I wasn't going to a show right next door though because we, and most of the people around us, got in late and stayed up all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would give the hotel and room a 2.5 out of 5. It was just ok all around. The lighting in the room was very poor. In general other than that everything was just ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location, location, location served us well, took my kids & brother to a show @ the rave, so it was great, in that respect. Really firm mattress, a bit much for my back problems, could have used a hot tub. Other than that was a fairly decent room, continental breakfast, very continental.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We went to a concert at the Rave and the ambassador inn was perfect for our needs. Staff was very thoughtful and courteous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"less than average stay at Ambassador Inn"
Very poor house keeping. Charged $10 night parking that was not necessary & a hidden fee. Room heating very poor & cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"away from the crowd - and that's ok..."
repeat customer - had an opportunity to take advantage of their shuttle service this time - the $ saved paid for the parking fees at the hotel... other than tiny elevator, experience was solid and positive...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great stay, staff, and room."
Everything was great, except there is a $10 per night parking fee, and the walls are a bit thin. However, the staff did a great job of keeping the noise level down from the early morning partiers next door. And the furnace made an odd noise every now and then when the blower is on.Thats about it! Overall, a great stay, and would reccomend! Also, there […] is a Hotel shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up to and from any downtown location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stayed for the rave"
Stayed here because we were going to The rave for Seether and Papa roach concert.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
hotel was excellent value. Clean, quiet, comfortable. My only complaint is that i chose it because hotels.com listed it when i used the airport shuttle filter, and it did not have one, which cost me $30. I blame the website, not the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good price for the room and right down the street from our destination. Not a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. We had some very rude patrons next door to us and no one was down stairs to help us. Otherwise, clean, affordable, friendly staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I chose this hotel based off the pictures that I viewed online. When we checked it, it was totally different. The room was very old and rugged, the beds were extremely small and we had continuous problems with the shower backing up. We reported the incident to the front desk, nothing was done. We booked the room for 3 nights. After the second night […] we went back to the room to find out key did not work to let us in. Long story short, we ended up being moved to there main hotel across the street and this one was fabulous!! I would definetly stay at the Ambassador Hotel, but not the Inn at Marquette. Great stay. No problems at all. Will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Neighborhood is a little sketchy and do not stay at this property on a night where there is a concert at THE RAVE unless you are ready to party. Very loud and full of young people so some older guests looking for a good nights sleep were very upset.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the rave"
Room very clean and comfortable. Was walking distance to the Rave where we went that evening. Had parking available for hotel guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is old and well worn. I was unaware of the $10 daily fee for parking. The breakfast is very limited. The hotel room was cold - the ceiling vent only heated a small area of the room. It was cold near the bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Okay stay for somewhere to sleep after a concert"
We came here for a concert down the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Next To The Rave!!"
The staff treated us like we are not welcome to the hotel. I could here them talking smack and gave us dirty looks. Ive stayed at this hotel multiple times and i am tired of this treatment. I'm a well paying guest and deserved to be treated as well as the guy next to me in a business suit. Discrimination is in bad taste these days.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect if your just staying to go to the rave"
We went to the rave for a show.... super close and that's awesome. Women who checked us in (green streaks in her hair) was so great, her customer service was top notch. However the guy at the front desk when we checked out the next morning was the exact opposite. He didn't speak to us even once and was just like a robot. He was cold and obviously hates […] his job... was a shame. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"pretty beat-up place"
The staff was very professional and helpful. The room had some beat up doors, hole in a wall, partly unpainted and finished door jams in the bathroom, and a smoke detector was beeping in the hall the entire time of our visit. It was dirty enough that we really felt like we needed to check for bed bugs!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay at."
I feel please with my staying at your hotel. Good location and good service too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Ambassador Inn is a low-cost hotel with convenient access to downtown Milwaukee. While it appears to be a standard motel from the outside (as it used to be) the room decor is tasteful, following the lead of its high-end "parent" across the street, the Ambassador Hotel. Perhaps the best thing about the Ambassador Inn is that you can take advantage […] of some of the offerings across the street, such as the restaurants and, particularly, the free shuttle service. We were pleased to get a complimentary upgrade to a suite upon arrival, and found each member of the staff friendly and helpful. On the downside, the room was quite dim. One or two more lights would have been nice. Also, the coffee pot still had what was left of the previous guest's coffee. For the price, though, the Ambassador Inn is hard to beat. We will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ambassador Inn Parents Weekend 2014"
We like the Ambassador Inn for its convenient location to Marquette University. We did get an unpleasant surprise at check in: parking in their lot had always been free on previous visits. I was informed that I would have to pay $10 per night for that privilege now. I paid the fee, however, returning their on Saturday night, the lot was full. I had […] to park across the street at the Ambassador Hotel. It was freezing cold. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room or hotel looked nothing like the pictures on their website. It was old abd dirty. The elevator smelled like urine. It was horribleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
5th time I've stayed at the Ambassador Inn, this place is perfect for the reasons of going to The Rave. Not to expensive and always got a good, clean room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was extremely dated and the walls were very thin. I was awake most of the night due to the noise coming from the other rooms. Terrible experience to say the least. The breakfast was a joke- 1 table in a small room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Shuttle from Brewers game sucked"
The room was just ok, paid for a two room suite and it wasn't anything special. We had to wait for over an hour for a shuttle ride back to the hotel, another shuttle felt bad for us and picked us up and brought us to Ambassador Inn. We had our children and the drunks kept budging in front of us to get on the first two shuttles and the driver did nothing... […] Not impressed! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Terrible hotel... Doesn't look like the pictures"
Smells weird... Booked room in main hotel and was sent to an even crappier version of the hotel across the street. Disgusting rooms... "Continental breakfast" was a joke. Never ever stay hereGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff kept bugging me about my party. They're to strict if you ann have a partyGenuine Expedia guest review
"A big zero I will never use expedia again"
This was the worst hotel, bad neighborhood, dirty room, bathroom tub didn't drain we didn't,t sleep all night checked out in the morningGenuine Expedia guest review
The pictures on line were a bit deceiving. This hotel is the smaller version of the Ambassador Hotel located across the street, that being said the staff was very friendly and for the cost ($84 is what i paid) I felt it was definitely worth it and I would go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Inn vs hotel"
The inn part of the ambassador hotel is somewhat rough compared to hotel so it is a shock at first glance. I thought we had 2 bedrooms but we had one bedroom with 2 lovely beds and a large living room with a rollout. The bedroom was quiet as was the whole suite. The beds and pillows, sheets, blankets are top quality and very comfortable and the room […] can be dark for sleeping. Lots of ways in both rooms tv to hook up electronics. kitchen and full size fridge . breakfast not special but met need and the restaurant in the main hotel is fabulous . Also a Starbucks on site. The shuttle to anywhere downtown and drivers were terrific and at the guests service on call or every 30 minutes to and from downtown . This was so convenient and free! A friend and I booked a room here for a brewer game. They have a shuttle that takes you to miller park and picks you up after the game, which was nice. The room was disgusting. There were little curly hairs all over the bathroom and he tub had a ring of dirt along the bottom. The fridge was also moldy. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in […] weeks. "Could have been worse, Maybe"
Let's start with the good. Close to the university and some of the good restaurants in the area. Now, for the rest. The shower/bathtub was not draining and backed up terribly. We discussed this with the front desk as the cleanliness of the room was suspect, there is No Way the maid had properly cleaned the tub. Maintenance should have been called. Our […] options were to move to an "upgraded" room, For a Charge, (absurd) or have the tub serviced. We opted for the tub service, too bad that never happened. POOR. Breakfast was quite weak as well.
