Very convenient to the Rave. And good, helpful service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay across the street"
I thought I was booking at the Ambassador HOTEL, but was staying across the street at this renovated apartment building. The hotel I've stayed in before, and it's one of the best in Milwaukee (except for the neighborhood). This property across the street, however, is motel quality, at best. Avoid!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine For a Budget"
Fine hotel for a budget, if traveling for work spring for the extra bit to stay across the street at their more up-scale location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
accommodations were just expect acular and I had the best time and everyone was just very caring and very clean and very great place to visitGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not sure i'll go back"
Mold throughout bathroom. Staff would not even replace shower curtain when i asked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy to get to. Seemed to be centrally located to several different places to go and tour. Friendly staff. Knowledgable shuttle driver (Sam).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will not return"
Our stay included breakfast. The breakfast room had a folding table and 4 folding chairs. Only options were cold cereal (corn flakes, rice krispies and cheerios), milk, prepackaged bagels and danishes. Instant coffee. No fruit. Nothing warm. It was the cheapest of the cheap. Coffee was not drinkable. The neighborhood is NOT good. It borders on the ghetto. […] Don't walk around at night. Driving to the hotel was pretty sketchy, borderline scary. On our way across the street to get the free shuttle from the Ambassador Hotel, we had 2 different guys approach us and ask for money. There is a club called "The Rave" which is just down a block. It hosts these crazy concerts. One of these "ravers" knocked on our door at 4am because she couldn't find her room. There were busted out light bulbs and vomit in the hallway after all these kids came back from their show. The place was trashed. The free shuttle was nice enough. You have to go across the street to get it. The actual shuttle was a very, very, rough ride. The shocks were non-existant. They charge $10 for parking. It's in the lot ACROSS the street. The lot isn't secure. You can just park on the street for free. One good thing, the bed and pillows were comfy and the room was clean when we arrived. I was really unhappy with our overall stay. "Don't stay here. Go East of Marquette!"
Worst hotel ever. No visible security presence. Main lobby locked with access for hotel guests by side door. Unsecured which allowed a non-guest to gain access! Couldn't get into lobby for assistance and had to run to room to call for assistance. Never again. Partner hotel across the street is nicer but still in bad area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Needs a lot of work and added items, good location"
The lobby is fine. The room was dirty and the bed linens smelled like sour milk. The pillows are old and flat. There was no alarm clock or coffee pot. There was food on the floor next to the bed that was not ours. The elevator is small, but works and there was complimentary shampoo and soap. The staff were nice and friendly. The continental breakfast […] is acceptable, not great. There was a microwave and refrigerator and free WiFi in the room. The best part of the hotel is location and the saving grace is that the Ambassador Hotel is across the street with a restaurant and bar. Parking is 10.00 a day. "Better than Expected"
This hotel was better than we expected & cleaner than most. The location was perfect as we were attending a concert at The Rave/Eagles Club (only a block walk to & from the venue) and the parking available at the hotel was much cheaper than surrounding areas as well. We will definitely stay there again any time we're seeing a show!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful hotel and staff was top of the line. We stayed at the Inn but were able to access and have all of the benefits that the Hotel offered. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great hotel near Miller Park and Marquette"
It is a great hotel for an weekend/ overnight stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location was good but I had a terrible night"
On one night there were a lot of young guests yelling and laughing until midnight. The hotel staff didn't warn them until 2am and I could hardly sleep. The thinness of the wall is part of the problem, I think. The location and the facility of the hotel was not bad.Genuine Expedia guest review
I always stay here when I go to concerts at the Rave because its only one block away. The Ambassador Hotel across the street looks like it is quite a bit fancier but for my purpose the Inn does just fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Rave/Eagles club"
There was a bit of age showing in the Inn, but it was nice. New carpeting would be a HUGE PLUS!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An okay place..."
The room was spotless; although the hotel corridors and elevator gave an impression of shabby-ness upon arrival. -Parking is not available on the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to downtown Milwaukee"
Generally, an okay hotel although nothing out of the ordinary. Our room was clean and we liked the convenience of using our electronics (TV and its related "plug-in's," etc. easy to find and use). Hotel doesn't have a pool which would have been nice in July but the location was convenient to downtown Milwaukee (Historic Third Ward, Riverwalk, etc.) […] and we enjoyed the Envoy Restaurant/Bar directly across the street. Convenient parking too! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel prices were raised for the week that we stayed and did not accurately depict the quality of the hotel. I was expecting a high class hotel but instead stayed in run down motel. The hotel smelled like mold. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The neighborhood is not safe. There were two front desk attendants who were rude when […] we asked questions. I did like the cleaning staff. They were nice and courteous. The shuttle service is a definite bonus and convenient for our stay. The workout room is nothing special - one treadmill, one elliptical, and a weight machine. The place is dingy and dark - brighten the place up. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very classy, well kept hotel"
Very comfy beds, easily accessible cabs and shuttle to get downtown, to the brewery, or zoo. Front desk people were VERY friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, close to Miller Park"
We liked the closeness to Miller Park, which is why we chose it. The rooms were nice, but we went during a heat wave when the air conditioner turned on, it made a loud humming noise. This noise was noticeable all through the hallway, too. We reported it to the staff before we left for Miller Part, but we don't believe it was corrected because it woke […] us up during the night. We had the room right next to the Fitness Room, which had a squeaking door when opened. So every time the Fitness Room door opened, we would hear the squeaking. Please add oil to all the squeaking doors to keep the noise level down. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"It was ok, but I probably wouldn't stay again."

"Just needed a bed"
The hotel was very close to were I was working. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The hallways looked a bit shabby but the room was fine. The main hotel across the street looked very interesting, very retro. Would have been interesting to see how the rooms were there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Has potential to be since hotel."
The fist day my room didn't get clean , I left @noon and there was a cleaning person on the floor who saw me leave. Upon my return 8pm I found the room not clean. I called down and she said the maid had probably gone. I then asked, "so you don't clean after noon". She said did I need anything in particular? I said yes, the room cleaned. Anyway my husband […] went down and towels were brought up. I asked the lady the next day would my room b cleaned. She said she didn't have my room the day before. You should be advised if there is a timeframe to get your room cleaned. I won't be referring this hotel Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful during summerfest"
The hotel looks wonderful from the outside, the lobby looks like an office lobby. We booked two rooms because we had a group going to summerfest, both rooms were very clean and comfortable. Beds were well made and the fridge was a nice addition. The shuttle service was outstanding and Santiago, our driver, was able to find us after festival, which wasn't […] easy. The only real complaint was the panhandlers walking around asking for money. Sitting outside by the cafe for an hour I've never been asked for more money in my life. But this is not the hotels fault Overall wonderful experience and the staff was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We were disappointed by the condition of the hotel but the hotel was professional enough to check us into the Ambassador Hotel right across the street and that hotel was a great experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect place for a night away!"
I recently stayed overnight for a concert down the street. While I had two younger girls with me as I'm young myself everyone treated me as an adult. After the concert when we got back out next door neighbors were being loud and rude and before we even called the front desk someone was there knocking on their door saying if it didn't stop they would […] be removed. They were on top of everything and apologized to us for the noise. The front desk man, Jonathan was incredibly nice. Overall it was a perfect night away and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. "Inexpensive but smelly and not kept well"
Location is convenient but it is not in a very nice area of the city. This Hotel needs to be updated as all the carpets are smelly and all the walls and doors are old and it shows. Personnel at the front desk was fine but did not do anything to make it more friendly or to make you welcome. Overall I would search for different Hotel. I would not return […] to this one unless the would renovate it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

In town for a convention at the Delta Center about 1.5 miles away. They do have a shuttle starting at 7:30am that is FREE. Free parking as well. Nice hotel, less expensive than the hotels near the convention center and it really saved us lots of money. Will stay there again. Only thing is that to check in late at night you had to go over to the Ambassador […] Hotel across the street. The restaurant for the hotel is there as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyed my experience with the Ambassador"
Pros: 1) Nice hot water for bath/shower 2) Room temp great 3) Free parking 4) Quiet Cons: 1) No bottled water in room for us non-coffee drinkers! 2) Breakfast buffet needed more hot food & low cal healthy foods like fresh fruit 3) pricey for value 4) No pool 5) TV reception poor, could not watch TVGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the Rave (Concert Venue)"
For the proximity to the venue and the length of stay this hotel was a great value. The staff is very friendly, the rooms and inside of the hotel were clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The neighborhood around the hotel is not so very nice, but we were not there for the ambiance, only for a concert which was across the street. We would definitely […] stay here again if going to a concert at the Rave! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"paid too much for too little"
The outside of the hotel looks nice, but inside its worn down. The bathroom was tiny. Now, I'm 5'2" and weigh 110 llbs, and to get in the bathroom I had to open the door, squeeze in by the side of the toilet, close the door, THEN I could get in front of the toilet to do my business. The walls in the rooms are super thin! People talking in the hallway […] or in the next room, sound like they are in your room! The breakfast was pretty sad lookin. They had some cereal, different flavored danishes, and coffee. They had pancakes and bagels, but they were frozen with no expedition date. And only one toaster to heat them up. I wish I spent my money somewhere else. Or at least paid less for this one...... like $60. Hope this helps! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ambassador at Marquette"
Elevator didn't work between 1st and 2nd floor making it difficult to climb stairs with a bad knee. Breakfast was marginal - I've had better at nearly every 2-Star Hotel chain. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were clean and quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Should of Stayed @ The Ambassador Inn"
Everything was across the street which wasn't listed on the description. You had to make reservations for the shuttle service which kept us from going out after the concert. My friends & I wanted to split the room by paying in cash. Which we had to walk across the street to pay. The Ambassador Inn did not have change. Overall experience, it was too […] pricey for what we received in return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice hotel in older part of downtown and right next to Marquette University. Convenient to downtown area with rooms that are nicely appointed and clean. Older building with parking in a lot across the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Right where we needed it to be."
We got what we paid for. A clean room with comfortable bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was not impressed that there was no staff in the hotel after 11 pm especially when there was a rave party happening less than a block away which spilled over into the hotel after midnight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great service, comfortable room, nice tv, lounge, etc... Was in town for a Brewer game & concert. Also went to the Harley Davidson museum. The hotel is in a great location for all of it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel for students visiting Marquette"
Great location for my presentation at Marquette University. I was able to take free shuttle service which was nice since parking on campus can be a hassle. They had free wifi and parking which was also convenient. I was there during the week so it was nice and quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Awesome location to experience downtown Milwaukee!"
Free downtown shuttle was great, walking distance to the Rave was awesome. Elevator was very slow. Good hospitality!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Across the street from The Rave"
We needed a place to spend the night after going to a concert at The Rave. If all you need is a basic motel room, this is relatively inexpensive and clean. If you want more service and amenities the Ambassador Hotel (next door) is more expensive but really nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No pool, bad breakfast"
Breakfast bar needs work. It was horrible and nothing good for you. Needs a pool!Genuine Expedia guest review
