The hotel itself really was not bad, but the noise from the freeway traffic, which was right outside our window, was bothersome, more to my husband than me. The room is adequate to sleep. The Hotel doesn't have a pool. If you are going for a convention, it's good and very cheap! The bathroom is ok, on the small size.Will go back but not for relaxation. For me a pool is a must have.

the room was nice,but the train at night scared me. After I got used to it, it was ok I guess. My husband ordered a hambuger and got a mushroom burger at the restruant. At least he wasn't alergic to mushrooms. but he was grossed out. Because he hates mushrooms. They also did not offer room service and have no coffee pot in room.

I was really rather surprised that this $29 per night hotel was actually very nice! The rooms were very modern and comfortable and big! Nice HDTV, wood-levered blinds, big comfy bed. I never once had the feeling there might be bed-bugs here! Everything was kept clean and maintained well. Amazing, this hotel was priced AMAZING, our floor was no smoking and maintained A NON-SMOKE SMELL. The staff was awesome, the room was so clean, flat screen, fridge, too good to be true. friendly everybody, great delicious food at the restaurant. unique inside - they display wonderful antiques to make it more authentic. I highly recommend.

This was my first time staying downtown....usually we choose somewhere on the strip. I was blown away! Main Street was so clean and friendly and had a STELLAR view. We about a half a beer's walk away from Fremont and their Micro-brewery was awesome (try the 777 golden. Delish!) I would absolutely stay here again.

The room was average. Not the type of room you'd want if you plan on staying in your room any length of time. The hotel is practically on the freeway so you experience all the noises of the freeway. We changed rooms to a room not facing the freeway and was kept awake by a train that travels along side the hotel and the fans for the hotel were right […] under our window. Very noisy! Rooms were clean. No strong smell of smoke that some others have mentioned. But, the room (and the hotel) are right next to highway and a train track. Very noisy. Plus noisy neighbours and poor sound insulation from other rooms. Bring ear plugs. In vegas things get very shady a step from the main strip, or freemont. Main Street Station very nice hotel for the price . The staff was not very helpful though , they seem unhappy . The tv channels in the room were very limited and some had poor reception.

We enjoyed this hotel! The historic look of it was beautiful! I left my coat in the room upon check and didn't realize it until I got home which is 5 hours away. I called House Keeping and they had the coat logged in and locked up already. Luckily a friend was there the day after me, the head gal of housekeeping took my friends name, gave me her personal […] number and held the coat until my friend could pick it up! It's the old downtown train station converted into a casino/hotel in the 90's. It's old but it has a lot of character -- lots of woodwork and old west sorts of decorations. We spent December 30 and New Year's Eve at Mainstreet Station. Our two nights here were at the end of a week long Christmas/family get together in southern Utah. I had booked three rooms and another couple of friends met us there. The front desk was awesome about putting us all on the same floor. Staff was generally eager to please.
