If you want a great view from your balcony, this is the place to stay. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The view of the red rocks and the sounds coming from the creek below can't be beat. We plan on returning in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price, you probably can't get a better red rock view in Uptown Sedona near the shops and restaurants. The room is huge and the views over Oak Creek from the balcony are unreal. Pay extra to get the rear rooms with a view though, as this place isn't worth the money otherwise. The service and upkeep of the common areas are questionable given […] the attitude that the place is a resort and wedding-destination quality. You also have to pay $20/hour for late check out and they automatically turn off your key at 11am anyway, so you have to go to the front desk to get it re-activated. Overall, Sedona is beautiful and this hotel is a pretty nice way to experience the scenery. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great View of Oak Creek from back"
Room seemed a bit dated and A/C unit was very loud and not very effective Hotel is in a lovely location in Sedona an has a great view of Oak Creek from back. Pool area is lovely tooGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overlooking Oak Creek?"
Room was good, but a big reason we chose this hotel was because it "overlooked the creek". Well, you can't blame the trees from growing (block view), but they need to provide better access to the creek (must go through pool area with it's limited hours the gate is open. There appear to be trails/other access in the making(?) but need more area provided […] for get togethers etc by the creek; since it is suppose to be a resort. As far as we could tell, the pool/jacuzzi are the only forms of entertainment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Inexpensive amazing views"
The view from the creekside rooms cannot be beaten. The creekside sitting area however could use some improvements. In general the hotel is a great bargain, it seems they've done some in-room upgrades since I stayed there 2 years ago which is nice, but they should consider better haircare amenities and better hair dryers. I do love staying here because […] of the views and the location is great because you're creekside and walking distance to restaurants and tourist areas. I do wish they would beef up the creekside area, make it more safely accessible and clean up the contruction like look (caution tape, stackes of wooden boards and wheelbarrow). It can be a little noisy but this is the place I choose to stay when I am in Sedona. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
nice clerk at the front desk. nice pool and hot tub. the view from the creekside rooms are wonderful. the walk to the creek is nice and the creek itself is nice to look at and wade in. the rooms are a bit dull but for the price i can't really complain. tv is nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful view from balcony. close to town."
The only complaint I have was the mattress was to old. I did tell the clerk at the hotel. Hopefully they do something about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed ourselves very much. The sound of the creek was very relaxing, and we were able to walk to some nice restaurants. We hope to visit again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely room beautiful creeksife setting and could hear the creek. Bed was vey comfortable and the location was perfectGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was the most expensive of our trip, but not the best and they only had package sweat rolls, coffee, tee & instant orange juice for breakfast; so we ate breakfast across the street at the bakery/cafe which is very good and good value for the reasonable prices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My fiance and I stayed here for a last minute weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. We stayed in a canyon/creekside king room and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and everything in working order. The hotel staff was cordial but not overly friendly or helpful. When we asked where would be a nice place to go to dinner, […] the staff member pointed us in the direction of the map/tourist information center. We also took advantage of their pool area which was in excellent condition and very clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great views and location"
The room is quant and clean and has amazing views of Oak Creek Canyon and the redrock. Staff is very friendly. Great bang for the buck...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent hotel close to uptown Sedona, Tlaquepaque."
This is a decent hotel centrally located to uptown Sedona, Tlaquepaque, and west Sedona. My only complaint would be that the sink area is very small to work around, other than that the room was comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Although clean, the room was laid out poorly; the bed was 3' from, and directly in line with, the A/C unit, making it necessary to turn off the unit in order to sleep. Swapping the furniture 180 degrees would be a vast improvement. And the less said about the showerhead the better. The staff was cheerful and efficient, but that doesn't change the (lack […] of) comfort of the room. And the "breakfast" wasn't much - coffee, juice (in bottles) and some packaged pastries. "Nice Hotel - Great views from balcony"
Hotel was close to the Oak Creek. Spectacular views from balcony. Only problem was the gnats/no-see-ums that required the balcony door to have to be closed at night. This was NOT the fault of the hotel but nature.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Awesome view of the mountains and oak creekGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The central location, on the main highway, is perfect. The view from the room, facing the creek and the mountains, is very peaceful and beautiful. A very safe, quiet and private atmosphere. The room was clean and decorated nicely. Small bathroom, but sufficient, and included a mini-fridge and coffee maker.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great View of the Sedona mountains"
All rooms have a great view of the beautoful mountains. Its close to dowtown sedona and starbucks right across the street. Great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the view one of the best"
LOCATION PERFECT, everything is in walking distance, but most of all i really think the VIEW is the best in the town. Not only that your room and balcony is facing those huge mountains, but you hear the sound of the river every day night and morning. Rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and decent. No complimentary breakfast , except small frozen bagels […] and frozen muffin. However as i mentioned earlier i love the view from the room and balcony, priceless :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Could not have asked for better hotel for the price. View off private deck was awesome. Spacious room, very nice. Will stay at the hotel on future visits! Close to everything. We walked to shopping and to dinner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was surprised at how nice it was. Nice setting. Our room looked over the creek and you could hear water rushing. Tub area was old but clean. It was small but enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Well worth the price."
We found this htel to be in a wonderful location with an overlook of Oak Creek and the mountains, especially at sunset and moonrise. The contential breakfast was a little sparce.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great View & Location"
Creekside view room - was wonderful for the balcony with beautiful view of Oak Creek, and incredible views of Snoopy Rock and what I think is called Schnebly Hill. View of rocks from pool and hot tub, too. Pool is seasonal - meaning not heated. Lounge chairs by pool were dirty. Room was clean, not updated. Bed was on the hard/uncomfortable side. Pillows […] small and flat. Plastic flowers on table and silk fake tree was dusty. Ice maker in lobby only, which is open from 6:30-10:30. Great location at Sedona "Y", walk to Starbucks and Wildflower Bakery across the street on 89A, Tlapaque arts village down the street (179), Red Rocks BBQ across the street on 179. If you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for a 2nd floor room. We stayed in first floor room and could hear footsteps of guests in room above - didn't bother us, though. Good flat screen TV. Stained glass window in bathroom above toilet next to shower didn't make bathroom 100% private, maybe 90%. Hard to maintain temperature of room with air unit, which was needed due to room location over what we think was laundry room for hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our first visit to Sedona but will not be out last. Cedars Resort truly is within walking distance of uptown, shopping, restaurants and to top it off the view of the mountains and sound of Oak Creek was amazing. We will put Cedars Resort on our list for our next trip to Sedona and will recommend to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I was disappointed in the Morning hotel clerk. My husband and I had been on the road and arrived early, we knew we could not check in yet. I really needed to use the restroom and asked if I could use their restroom. He told me I could not and I could go over to the Burger King across the street. This hotel is […] near a roundabout and walking to this Burger King was quite a walk. I could understand this Hotel not wanting everyone off the street to use their restrooms, but I was a paid guest, and I know he didn't walk acreoss the street to use the restroom. He basically told me I could check in at 4:30. Just was not welcoming. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Centrally located to shopping and dining."
Enjoyed being close to all the shops and dining areas. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Had a room on the back side facing the creek and the Snoopy formation. Did not have much interaction with the front desk staff other than picking up my room key and dropping it off on leaving. Some minor things to consider: I did have a lower floor […] room and the people above us must have been heavy footed because everytime they would walk around we could hear it. We were also disturbed by the contant open and closing of the doors from the rooms next to ours, don't know why but it seems like they were having trouble closing their doors so it would close with a loud noise everytime they went in and out. Be aware that the hotel is located on a round about and traffic sometimes made it difficult to get in the right lane to make the turn into the hotel parking. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very over priced for the condition of the room. It's an old hotel/motel that needs a face lift inside and out. The bed head board was very dusty, the bed covering was stained, the carpet should be replaced, and the patio door lock was broken. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great views and location!"
The only reason I gave this hotel a overall 4 was that the mirror/vanity area was just off of the main room, with a small toilet and shower area. I like more privacy doing my makeup, etc...however the view is great, the bed was comfy, TV great, WI FI great, cleanliness, and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION was superb! We walked just about everywhere you […] really want to be, old town Sedona shopping and Tlaquepaque..we drove elsewhere one day. The continental breakfast was also a little lame but overall for the price we were very, very satisfied and when looking for a good price, we will stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"this is a motel, not a resort (despite name)"
Just because the word "resort" is in the name does not make this a resort. It is a motel. Grangranted it is clean and the water is hot so it is good if you are expecting a motel. The phighlights: I was allergic to something in the room and there are all kinds of rules and warnings taped onto the check in counter- so pack an anti-hystamine and pay attention […] whwhen you check in. Also, there is no staff to speak of but there is a surly woman at the front desk. Not worth it for the price. For $40 more, go across the street to the hyatt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and Cozy"
The bed was comfortable. The room very warm and cozy. Shower/Bathroom a little small yet clean. Hot Tub by pool very small....May fit 4-6 people, 4 comfortably 6 a lil tight. The view of creek side was gorgeous. I would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

Worst service EVER!!!!! Wanted 20 per hour after check for a late check out!!! If it wasn't for the view and location this place would bomb!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our experience with the Motel was better than expected- the room was large and well decorated and the bed was comfortable. There were some down sides, however - the bathroom was outdated and small, the continental breafkast was minimal and the ice machine was inconveniently located. However, the balcony view more than compensated for the shortcomings […] mentioned, Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful view from balcony of mt rocks and nice room, but too much light coming in thru door window. It needs a shade or cover. I prefer dark quiet room for sleep. Desk clerk was very helpful on check in on near by restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful view, close to shopping, but just a small room with a tiny bathroom. Too many flying bugs to sit out on balcony.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location. Some rooms have nice views"
Was a good place for sightseeingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was convenient which was very important. However, the staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating. Although it stated that there was access to the river, the gate was locked by 4:15pm and nothing was said about this to us when we checked in, which was disappointing. Although breakfast was advertised, the check-in staff were reluctant […] to disclose anything about it until pushed. They said it 'wasn't advertised'. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I'd stay again"
This is a nicely maintained hotel that manages to be both centrally located within walking distance of the main shopping area (and across the street from Starbucks) yet also very quiet and peaceful, probably because the rooms face out over the stream with a nice view of the red rocks. I would absolutely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The view from balcony of room outstanding."
The room was very clean, service at front desk great, view from balcony of the room was outstanding and the location was to die for. Will definately return to The Cedars when we return to Sedona. We go at least 3 times a year as a get away and shopping with family and friends. I really like this motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The views of the canyon were spectacular. Very convenient location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good place to stop on our way to Yosemite. Great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would not return"
For the price I would think the continental breakfast would be more that pre packaged bagels and canned fruit. The man at the front desk was unpleasant and NEVER smiled. It was like we were putting him out. The only good part was the view. I would not go back or recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean and comfortable and the view off of the balcony was wonderful. It made staying here very worthwhile. The main drag in Sedona with shops, restaurants, etc is within easy walking distance of this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Uptown Sedona"
The location is ultra-convenient. The views were 100% Sedona. Our only complaint was the vanity area could only accommodate 1 personGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing View, Not Much Else"
I have never been to Sedona, and the views were stunning. The best part of the resort was absolutely the view from the balcony. The amenities are antiquated but functioned. The pool was clean and the hot tub worked, but both has some fairly serious damage that could be dangerous to kids. The shower was great, hot water and great water pressure, but […] the room itself was very outdated. The biggest issue was a malfunctioning lock on the sliding door to the balcony. At 11 pm we went outside to enjoy the night air and closed the door. It locked behind us and we were trapped outside. After 45 minutes I was able to get the attention of the couple in the room next to us, who called the emergency number (the front office closes at 10:30) and someone came and let us back into our room. This was not my idea of a good time and when I spoke to front desk the next morning they seemed to not truly care much. If you want a stunning view of Sedona and are willing to deal with mediocre service and outdated rooms, this would be acceptable-just do not close the sliding glass door from the outside.
