Great weekend. The hotel is currently renovating however.This DID NOT have any effect on my stay. The conversion to a casino should be complete by June, which means I'll have to find another hotel to relax at.

Just completed a two night stay at the hotel. Really can't find anything to complain about. Overall the stay was very usual. We didn't partake in any of the extras the resort had to offer, it was a spot to lay our heads before continuing on our destination. We originally reserved a room with a single bed, got all the way up to our room only to find two beds. The entire facility was very nice and the view/setting was beautiful. We enjoyed a hike around the lake and a trip into Cumberland. Signatures served wonderful food. We will definately visit again.

Awesome! We needed to change our room because my sister is handicap and couldn't step into the shower. Even though the hotel was booked they asked another guest to change rooms with us so we could have the handicap room. The rooms inside the hotel need to be updated but everything else was great. The view was spectacular!

Great lodging for the price. The only drawback is that there are no nearby places to eat or get gasoline. The on-site restaurant and lounge have typical country club prices - best to use the bar/grill for eating (no breakfast though).

The area was very beautiful with the lake and mountains. Lots of hiking, boating (3 beaches), golfing, restaurant, and spa. The hot tub was not working properly and no one seemed to know how to fix or very interested in fixing it. Otherwise everything was very pleasant. Enjoyed the spa. There were bikes for rent and fishing gear to buy. The hotel seemed […] family oriented and had a bonfire by the lake each night with marshmallows to roast. I booked a deluxe room and received a Junior Suite, which was very nice. I assume a got a free upgrade due to availability. The surrounding park and area are beautiful -- great for hiking and site seeing. BUT ... the hotels.com information stated all rooms have refrigerator and microwave -- not true. A refrigerator is an extra $15 per day based on availability. […] It is included free only on the most preminum accomodations -- mine did not include it. I did not inquire about a microwave. Rocky Gap is a beautiful place and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Only ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was very good. If you go call first and find out who else is staying there. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights and both nights they had groups (church and swim meet) with hundreds of kids running up and down the halls at 10:30PM. […] We could not use the pool or lounge because it was filled with screaming kids. We left on Saturday and took a 2 hour drive to Canann valley and returned at night. They call this a romantic getaway. Good luck with all those kids. The room was nice,but the grille was closed for a private party.We had to drive to Cumberland Maryland to eat.The town is a little depressed and small.There were guests drinking beer in the hot tub and were very loud.
