We got there around 11 and check in was not until 3..the front desk person was very friendly and tried to get everything ready..we actually only had to wait an hour till our room was ready..that helped us out alot..also we asked for a mini fridge so we could store food and drinks that we had and they were very helpful with that..the last thing we needed […] was a cot and they brought us that as well with no extra charge..we had a great time at the hilton..i would use them again! My wife and I loved this hotel, the rooms were nice, the beach bar food was surprisingly good (but pricey -- $8 frozen drinks, $7 beers, $15 sandwiches/pizza), there were plenty of beach chairs in several different areas, AWESOME place to walk right into the water and snorkel...overall a great hotel (it should be, it's a Hilton) but very easy to spend […] quite a bit of $ since it's not very close to restaurants/bars. $25 for a taxi to/from the airport; $15 for a taxi to/from the "downtown" area where Fort Rif and the pricey stores are for the tourists that arrive via cruise. This hotel is in desperate need of an update. The beach is lovely and the pools are great, but the hotel rooms are terrible. Lighting in the bathrooms is awful. Housekeeping is TERRIBLE! They didn't give us washclothes at all. I think they just made the beds, as I had the same wine glass in my room the entire week. Restaurants are a complete rip off […] - especially breakfast. $22 per person per day - RIP OFF. Do yourself a favor and walk to the Marriott next door and get a coffee and a muffin for $5. Caribbean BBQ night on the beach was terrible as well, food uneatable and cost $34 per person!!!Cielo food was good, but pricey and service was beyond slow. Biggest disappointment was the fact that the hotel advertised a kids program and center and that is closed. We traveled with our two young children and specifically picked this hotel because of the kids activities that were advertized. BIG let down. Nice, polite people at the front desk and around the complex. Despite the fact that this is an old (but fairly well-maintained) hotel, you can't beat it's superiority: Location location location. Twice a day shuttle service to Willemstad is a plus and the noise from the bar is a minus (The bar is open until 01.00 AM and the music is loud)

My stay was for business purposes and I immediately found this hotel is much better for vacationers. Having said that this hotel is in dire need of renovations/updates to compete with the newer hotels in Curacao. The bathroom in my room was horrendous! The first room they placed me in was on the first floor (2nd floor to Americans) and the ocean view I had paid extra for was completely blocked by trees. The Hilton in Curacao experience was a pleasure. The reception personnel were professional and courteous as well as informed and helpful. The bar and food service staff, as well as the management, were flexible, fun and friendly. The hotel facilities were excellent. Not to be overlooked is the slightly hidden beach on the south side, which is breathe-taking and less trafficed. The food at the hotel was very good and the hotel offered several "cultural" evenings whereby various ethnic foods were highlighted including, but not limited too American, Mexican and Curacaos. Live music often accompanied the ethnically-driven evenings. The housekeeping staff was flexible and kind. The hotel offered many other services, many of which I did not use and therefore can not comment on fairly, but I left the hotel after 5 days happy and having had a very enjoyable experience on the island of Curacao. Steven, the assistant manager, the ladies in the room by the ATM machine in the casino were outstanding. My 83 year old dad and 81 year mother and I had reservations at the hotel on Sunday night. We depleted all of our cash and had no cash money when we arrived at the Curacao airport. We didn't know that we had to have $25 to the hotel and $30 back […] to the airport in the morning. All we could scrap together was $20 to get to the hotel thanks to the good samaritan taxi driver. At the hotel, the receptionist, Steven, the assistant manager, and the ladies by the ATM WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to figure out a way for us to get cash. We had check books and charge cards (that were suspended) because we kept putting in the wrong pin #. Recently my family and I returned to the Hilton for 8 days with 2 oceanfront rooms (1 executive oceanfront). It was our 9th trip to the Hilton and 14th to Curacao. Despite my getting sick on the second day and mostly confined to my room for a week , the family enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. Kimberly and Karem (?) at the VIP desk were extremely helpful […] to me during my illness and my family overall. They repeated asked about my health and were helpful and friendly during our stay when we made requests. We saw bldg. maintenance in the form of exterior painting on the business meeting rooms, outside bar and constant trimming of the bushes, plants and flowers on the facility. The beach was nice as usual and not particulary crowded during the day. The breakfast was what my family always looksforward to every morning and there were not dissapointed this trip. Since our last trip several months earlier, the elevators had been replaced and running quiter and smoother than before, another plus. We didnt enter the casino this trip so I can't report on its hits or misses. The relaxing on the beach under the thatched roofs is what we enjoy and this beach is fine for that. Hotel is a little outdated. Staff was there to assist. Although it was a 10 min trip to downtown by car, you are isolated. Great place to bring a book and read, relaxing...nice and quiet. For families with small children the two pools are great with a small beach for change of location.

I had a great weekend with my husband. Everything was ok, except for the sound of banging hamers etc etc from the 4th floor( my room was on the 3rd floor), where they were busy with renovations. The only reason I didn't give the room comfort a higher score is because the bath and shower were quite old, and really need to be refurbished.
