Overall hotel was nice. It is much further away from the consulate then stated in the description (but there was a shuttle that ran from 7am-9pm for free). Customer service was good (limited english), people were friendly, but I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn or even better Hotel Maria Bonita (a new hotel that opened up right next to the […] mall/consulate. It seems to me as thought there are several newer hotels that have opened up in the area that are taking a lot of this hotels business (it was very empty, and there was no ice in the ice machines). Continental breakfast was only fruit and juice and from 5-7am (had to pay an extra $6 for the "real breakfast" which was good and contained eggs pancakes chilaquiles, potatoes etc. was a grocery store, and a park (with a giraffe:) across the street. The hotel is not within walking distance of the US Consulate, however they have a complimentary shuttle during the day. All of the staff were very nice and most spoke English. The only problem i had was that my key would get demagnetized daily. Outside of that, it was great. Maria was so great as to give me directions from the border to the hotel, which was a huge deal! She is great over all... I've stayed there about 5 times and every time it is a good experience.

I stayed for a week at the hotel casa grande and my wife and I really enjoyed it. Cuidad Juarez is not that bad as they say. You can rent a refrigerator and microwave for $100 pesos each for the whole time you stay at the hotel

Overall not a bad hotel, but there are better in the area for similar prices. Very good WiFi access, strong signal (at least on 2nd floor) The bad: Local calls are not enabled, and if you want to call you have to pay a deposit and you get charged for local calls.

The Hotel was very clean and every one at the Hotel spoke english which was very helpful for me. The room was comfortable, the only problem was the toilet wasnt the best. My wife and I would have to flush it 3 or 4 times to get everything down. It was a very close taxi ride to the consulate, it only cost $50 pesos. I was really impressed with the restaurant […] and bar, food was excellent, the bartender did have to play double duty, so by him running back and forth to the restaurant and the bar the service was slow, but all in all a great stay. Casa Grande has large, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms, very attentive staff and provides transportation to the Consulate and other related buildings. The hotel is actually fairly close to the Consulate but just far enough away that it's a calmer neighborhood. Across the street is a huge park, restaurants and grocery. This hotel was not far from the US Consular and for the medical and fingerprint appts. The few problems we had were that the front counter did charge us again for our rooms when we did already emphasize that we already paid on the internet and they still billed us again. At first, we had no idea what to expect. But reading other people's reviews and then experiencing it for ourselves, I got to say this place was well worth it. If you have to travel to Juarez, I'd recommend staying here. Once there, you'll find that most of the other guests are also there for the same reason as you. I'd recommend asking others for advice […] on where to eat and hang out. The only problem was finding enough places to eat at in the city, because it does get expensive eating at the hotel everyday. My family and I stayed in this hotel for 4/8-4/13, beautiful hotel, nice sized rooms and good service. We stayed here for immigration matters, and was pleased to have complementary shuttle service back and forth to the consulate, which is close to the hotel. Also conviemtly located kiddy corner to the hotel is a large clean grocery store and a couple […] of restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel was nice, a little expensive for the amount of food, but the sushi bar was amazing! They actually have a personally especially for the sushi, and it was very tasty. We also loved that we were able to request a crib for our son, and was also offered a fridge and microwave, which were all very useful. Only cons I would point out were the language barrier, I can understand and speak some Spanish, but when I needed help with the computers the girl at the front desk didn't take the time to help or even ask someone to help me, I explained the problem and all I got was a confused look, I was finally helped by some wokers standing around talking,also when I had called the front desk for towels, the guy didn't know English, which is to be expected in mexico, other than that, the housekeeping was very good, cleaned our room everyday, and made it spotless and smelling fresh, even put new towels for us. This hotel seemed busy with events and even a wedding reception, but never interfered with our stay. The photos make it look nicer than it is. For example the pool was very small, next to the parking lot, and drained! However, it was clean and the staff was attentive. Free shulttle that runs in the day to take you about the town--that was awesome!

The hotel is in a main road and the noise is important. You need top turn on the airconditioning unit so you can sleep. The service is OK nothing fancy but th elocation of the hotel was very convinient for me.
