What a great place to stay! It was our first time in Nuevo Vallarta and loved it! The staff is very friendly. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and very nice. We didn't have a beach view but on the 3rd floor we saw above the buildings to see the sunrise. Be warned, stay on the non-beach side is noisy. Not so much from traffic but the parrots! […] They are very vocal in the morning! Its a 5min walk to the mall which was great. The market was nice to have so close (its located in the mall). We had the breakfast buffet one morning and it was OK.. nothing special though. If you're going to spend that kind of money just walk to the mall and have breakfast in one of the 3 restaraunts inside. The time share pitch is a soft sell. If you get the arm bands you get to talk to the concierge who tells you about the property and where to find things and then tries to get you to listen to the pitch and you'll get 1000 pesos credit to use anyway you'd like. She wouldn't say how long it would take to so we passed. The pool area and palapas are nice but they seemed understaffed for waiters, so don't expect timely drink/food service.. its easier to get up and get it yourself. While the buses are cheap in Mexico.. there's a free trolly that runs during the day 11am - 7pm it goes around the enitre area. The hotel was nice and the staff friendly, especially the waitstaff. The room was different than what we had reserved, so we had only a fold out sofa for our two children, rather than two beds. The name truly synonymous to Paradise! Beautiful location to watch both magnificent Sunrise (over the Mountain) and glorious Sunset. Huge, secluded (almost private) beach and Marina. Very much kid friendly, at the same time separate arrangement for adults. We went during Christmas, the resort was packed but it was so spacious we never feel crowded. […] We didn't go for All Inclusive Plan (seemed too expensive#, but had the Breakfast - which was very fresh and tons of choices with a great outdoor settings - overlooking mountain, marina, sea and beach The Timeshare people are very polite and friendly, even if you said No or take the presentation tour ,2 hrs, and decided to walk out with free gift. We, 4 of us got a private Panga for 4hrs to watch Whale, Dolphin, Snorkeling and fishing for only $79. They also extended out check out time for 3 hrs and 30% discount on from any packages from Vallarta Adventures. Nearby Turtle conservatory at the beach #15 min walk)- during sunset they allow children to release newly born baby turtle into the sea. It’s a lifetime memorable experience for us. If you want to taste local food and mingle with local people – take a taxi to Bucerias or little further La-Cruz. You may also go to Melecon - downtown Puerto Vallarta to enjoy huge shopping area next to beach. The Whale/Dolphin watch, snorkeling, fishing tours are all starts from the hotel’s Marina. Great overall experience-Beautiful beach with food and drink service. No shortage of chairs for lounging. The surrounding grounds are second to none with exceptional flowers and landscaping. The wait staff hovered, which was so annoying as to drive you to a restaurant off-site! I mentioned this to the timeshare people and they said they've heard this complaint before. The wait staff should be trained to recognize body language instead of coming by every two seconds to see if they can take a plate or to ask if everything is okay. I have […] never experienced such relentless service and that IS NOT a good thing!! The room smelled really musty, if you opened up cupboards or especially the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom. It was so foul that you had to keep the fan running to remove the smell! This is probably an inherent problem being in the tropics, but there should be some way to remove that smell! We really enjoyed the pools and the happy hour. We were surprised when suddenly, days after our arrival, we stopped receiving coffee packs. When we asked about the missing coffee pack, we were told it was supposed to be only on our first day, which was not what was presented when I made the reservation. The expectation of constant tipping is very annoying. The maid expected to be tipped daily, leaving us an envelope every day. Please pay them a living wage, and pass the cost on to the guests, and we will all be happier! I know this is a timeshare but I paid the full daily rate and was super annoyed that four people tried to convince us to "buy" when we said politely and professionally that we are not interested in buying. Have always enjoyed this hotel and keep coming back. Like the location, the tropical birds (Grady the cockatoo is my favorite), and the Siberian tigers. Sometimes they even have tiger cubs. We were the 5th time in this Hotel, we still are very happy at this place. The only thing what we complains this time is, they gave us a room on the first floor, what smelled moldy and a dehumidifier was standing in there and was already running - but the Hotel was only 50% full. I have no complaints on the quality of the hotel itself. However, there were hordes of unsupervised kids everywhere. I never got to enjoy the pool since it seemed to be over run with kids, even the section that was meant for relaxing adults was noisy and filled with kids. This hotel is amazing from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. We stayed here only for 2 night, we had already spent 3 nights in old vallarta. This hotel is in nuevo vallarta It has the best pool area. it has the big pool where all the activities take place, it has 2 water slids and jacuzzi, now if you want a more relaxing atmosphere no problem, […] they also have a quiet pool where all the grown ups are at relaxing and enjoying the pool and jacuzzi area. They have a 3rd pool (I think) but we didn't even make it there, these 2 pools is all my husband, me and our 2 year old needed. The beach area is really relaxing and clean, the vendors don't bother you at all, they appoach you and once you say no, you don't have to say no again. They even have a kids area by the beach for the kids to play. They also have a zoo with 2 tigers and lots of exotic birds, my tooldler was facinated with them, the area where they keep their animals is well kept, you can tell they take care of their animals Another really good feature this hotel offers is their hospitality room. Our last day in Vallarta, we decided to take a tour, it was going to take all day, so we checked out at 8am, (check out time is 11am, check in 4pm) they held our baggage until we returned at 6pm, still let us use the facilities to shower and change and told us if we wanted to use the pool we could, with no extra cost, it was like having an extra day to spend in this hotel for free! I had such a pleasant experience at Paradise Village, it was beyond anything I had expected. All of the staff that I had interaction with were always very pleasant and helpful. The activities team were all always very pleasant and interactive with the guests. I will defintely come again and will defintely reccomend others to visit.

Cons: -We paid for all inclusive, but it doesn't include much. It only includes the buffet restaurant, and some other very bad restaurant. Both of which had terrible food. If you want good food, then you have to pay extra. -You don't get all drinks for free either, only the cheap ones. Every time I ask for a drink they say "thats not included" most […] drinks are not included. -We got a $200 dollar resort credit, but they gave us a hard time every time we tried to use it. Most employees acted like they had never seen it before. By the end of the trip we only got to use $20 of the $200. -no pool side bar -beach bar closes at 6:00pm Pros: -The location is great, especially if you plan on using Vallarta Adventures for you excursions. Its just a 3 minute taxi ride. -Staff is super friendly Conclusion -We are a young couple, so we like more fun and life. This hotel is ok for older couples or families with very young children. Hotel was clean, friendly staff, excellent service form the room service to the restarants to the service for the palapa's on the beach, everything was excellent. The negatives are: Caged exotic birds near the front of the hotel (Tikal) tower, make too much noise in the am to allow visitor to sleep in past 7am, so this could be a drag if you plan on […] sleeping in. . . Caged tigers, even though they are art of a reputable relocation program, the enclosure is dated and should be removed from the facility. It's a spectical for kids, but not everyone appreciates a "zoo" atmosphere, so depending on your preference for zoo's and seeing caged tigers pacing around, this one feature was a downer to us.One must walk past them everyday, to enter or exit the facility. The tigers pace. The cage is small and looks like it from a zoo built in the 1960's.Having to walk past these caged tigers everyday to get to exit the facility was very distracting to an otherwise perfect resort atmosphere. One other common distraction is that the sales people approach you fast and hit you hard with the timeshare sales pitch - if they don't catch you at the front desk immediately upon arrival (with an offer for a "Welcome package" and couple of free drinks), then just be prepared for a phone call to your room at 9am the following morning. This was our third trip to Paradise Village, this time without kids. Last time was 6 yrs prior. We love to find a palapa on the beach in the morning and park there all day. There is a kids club, and a kids pool with lots of activities. If you want to avoid the noise and kids, there is a "quiet" pool for adults. The all-inclusive plan is the way to go. The service was amazing. Alberto kept us supplied on the beach. We loved the breakfast buffet that lasts most of the day. I recommend the Flambe coffee after dinner. There was no pressure to see the timeshares although that is available if you want it. I felt safer here than I do in New York or Las Vegas. Our Expedia itinerary did not note what time check-in was at this resort. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning as we were just moving from a nearby resort. We were told our room would be ready at 12:00-1:00 so we went to a nearby restaurant and hung out until 1:00. When we went to the desk they told us it would be ready at 2:00. I was very impressed with Paradise Village. I really liked the activities that they offer there for the whole family. The activities staff was very helpful and entertaining. The place itself and the sorroundings are fine. It does not have the WOW factor, but it is very nice. I only have two things I didn't like, the beds and the constant hassling. The beds are hard, as are the pillows. The hassling gets very old by the second day. They just hound you at every turn. Now the good things: The addition of the Paradise Plaza was a nice touch. They have several restaurant options from McDonalds to Subway, to a few Mexican restaurants. There is a Pizza place as well. We had a great time at Paradise Village. Our room was nice and comfortable, the staff wonderful, the beach and pool were both great. The mall was close by as were many restaurants. We did the buffet one night but we really preffered Il Pescatore where the food was excellent and the staff fantastic. Luis was especially wonderful! We will go back!

We had a wonderful time. The beach and pools were beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. The studio was spacious and had a great view of the garden and the beach. The hotel is a twenty minutes drive from Puerto Vallarta.
