We stayed at this hotel because we were participating in Walk MS, an event for the National MS Society. It was very convenient and we liked not having to drive anywhere to go eat or sight seeing. I like the small balcony where you can sit outside with the French doors. The A/C system in the hallway was a little loud and buzzed all night, but other than that it was a great stay.

I checked the reviews for this hotel from several sources, the only negative was that it was located in the middle of an amusement area and noisy at night if you are looking for a peaceful evening. We were not so the noise lulled us to sleep, it was not jarring or obtrusive, just constant. The hotel was lovely, you don't find these one of a kind places in the hotel/motel category. You also don't find too many places that will not charge you extra to park, this was a joy, free in and out included with the room price which was more than your average chain hotel but the adage "you get what you pay" for definitely applies here.

I found the entrance to the hotel via the parking garage a bit odd and slightly hard to find in the dark. The hotel itself is pleasant and clean. However, our room described a water view and instead we got the Cadiallac Bar/Joe's Crab Shack courtyard view. There were bright lights outside of our window and blinds on the window vs. the usual thick curtains to block out the early sun and nighttime lights. This made it a bit hard to sleep as the room was a bit bright. I think if you're staying at the Boardwalk for the ambience of that scene it would be fine, but to pay the extra money just to stay in the area, I'd choose differently next time.

The Boardwalk Inn was very nice overall. We only stayed one night for our anniversary but it was worth it. The staff was friendly and offered maps and advice on what to do in Kemah and offered to book restaurant reservations for us. The room was a good size with a great view from the balcony and very clean. Lot's to do on the Boardwalk so perfect location with free parking in reserved hotel garage lot. We were very satisfied.

The room was beautiful- very large, clean, and well-appointed. My only issue was the noise! The air-conditioner was incredibly loud- cycling on & off all night & waking me up every time (and I am not a light sleeper). The dripping from the a/c above me, onto my balcony, was also very loud. As much as I liked the room, I am not sure I would stay there again for this reason.

We stayed 4 nights at the Boardwalk Inn. It "is" a part of the Kemah Boardwalk so you can't get much closer. It is convenient, safe, and relaxing. The rooms are very comfortable, and I can't say enough about the cleanliness of this hotel. I haven't seen even in 5 star hotels the attention to detail that I saw. We had a balcony that opened to the boardwalk which was great to watch the entertainment of live bands. If you're looking for a relaxing get-a-way this is it. One last note, for the ultimate trip consider a sail boat charter. It made our final night and trip perfect.

The hotel and individual room were immaculate and the hotel staff extremely helpful and polite. The only complaint I have is with the doors to the individual rooms which slam very, very loudly when being closed. We heard every slam up and down the hallway and did not go to sleep until 12:30 when everyone else in the hotel had finally settled into their rooms. Then we were awakened at a very early hour as other guests exited their rooms.

I doubt I would ever consider paying full price, however. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was decently appointed.

Love the nautical theme and the staff was wonderful. There was quite alot of construction noise going on (drills, hammering), so that was a bit irritating. This is understandable considering the hurricane damage. What was annoying is that we were on the 3rd floor and thought we'd have a perfect view of the boardwalk and the bay and there was a huge palm that completely obstructed our balcony view. I'm surprised they planted such tall palms as the first floor is nothing but shops. Hmmm. Our recommendation is to get the 4th floor so nothing obstructs your view, and you can sit out and watch the boardwalk action from the comfort of your private balcony. Also, we were surprised that everything closes down at 10 p.m. weekdays and 11 p.m. weekends. It would be nice if the restaurants stayed open longer.

It is a nice hotel. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. Brightly decorated. If you are planning a night on the Boardwalk it is perfect. Everything is in walking distance. Even shops down the street are easy and not too far away. One drawback was that there was constuction going on out our window to the resturaunt across the way. VERY LOUD!!! I was not informed of this and was not the only one who found this to be irritating. They had something special going on on the day we were checking out which caused our room to be double regular price. It is well worth the stay on a non-special weekend or peak time.

Service was excellent. Arrived at noon even though check-in was not until 3 p.m. The deskclerk took my cellphone number and offered to call me the minute my room was ready so that I could go out and browse the shops just outside the hotel. The doorman also offered to let me into the guest parking area so that I would not have to move my car again. I was called within 15 minutes. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean and roomy. The only drawback for some may be the outdoor entertainment on weekends that goes until 11 p.m. But for adults, this would be no problem.

Not worth the money paid. We have traveled alot and for this kind of money, we have received much better service and attention. Our room was not clean, one day we have to request for the room to be serviced. We also were told we would have preferred seating at a couple of restaurants and when we made a request through the front desk, apparently it was not made at the restaurant. Pillows are uncomfortable and air conditioners are very noisy.
