My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights in April. We had been to Las Vegas before so we knew where Sams Town was, about six miles from The Strip. They do a regular free shuttle bus to the Strip and back if needed. Excellent hotel and facilities, rooms were great. I would recommend this hotel for a Vegas stay.

I like being off the strip because of the ease of getting in and out of the hotel, no big traffic jams to deal with. Sam's Town is convieniantly located on Boulder Highway close to the 95 freeway. My room was in excellant condition, seemed to be recently renovated, top floor with a great view. Vegas right now can't be beat for an inexpensive get-a-way (unless you're a big gambler!).

I have stayed in Vegas at a lot of hotels and Sam's Town is probably the best value there! The room was clean as were the hotel and casino. They have a variety of ammenties which make for a very nice stay including the bowling alley and theater. There were only two things I was a little disappointed in. There were two elevators at the end of the building where I was staying and only one worked. The other was the placement of the adjoining doors in the rooms being right off the bed area. I could hear everything in the next room through the door. Maybe thicker doors would help. Overall I was very pleased with my stay at Sam's Town and will stay there again!

The Hotel and rooms were really nice and plenty of eating establishments. I was disappointed to find out there was no free internet, very few free TV channels and if you wanted to get sun while at the pool you only had a 3 hour window because the Hotel building blocked the sun. Once you checked in they add a 4.95 charge per day for housekeeping services.

Have been to Las Vegas many times and always stayed on strip. First time at hotel. I was very impressed. Hotel honored my specific room request and room was comfy and very quiet. From both staff and other guests, hotel has a friendly, easy going feel missing on the strip. I actually felt relaxed in a casino hotel. If your into nightclubs or clubbing, not exactly a hot spot, but if you want a fantastic value for the money definetly worth it. Keep in mind though the average age of guests here seems to be in the 70's. Not a problem for me (I'm in my mid 30's) but again, this is not a "happening" place. Also, with a rental car, strip is very easy to get to, took me about 10 minutes max. They have shuttle bus, which I did not take though so cannot comment on.

best value, if you're not looking for a location near the strip. i'm a runner and the surrounding area is great for morning runs. fresh vegetable offerings at firelight buffet are great for those looking for healthy nutrition options. staff (front desk & housekeeping) continues to impress me. very personable and will to go the extra mile to make your stay the best! lastly, room walls can be a little on the "thin" side, but most guests are not night owls, so the noisy neighbor isn't too much of a concern.
