Hotel was ok.....our room faced east so with the sun coming in at 5.30am, the 3rd person sleeping on foldout sofa got to get up early. The blinds needed to be lined.

This hotel was very nice - the room was clean and large (included a kitchen and living room). The bathroom also included a washer/dryer which definitely came in handy. The location was a bit far from some things (including the stop for the bus to the airport), although it was also close to some of the main tourist spots. Very good location and good installation as serviced apartment. But they need to renew the bathroom, shower is very old and lights are to burn your head. But considering the location, i am recommending as it is in the heart of the city, close to Collins Street. DOnt even need a car.

I booked this hotel for when my parents came to town. The apartment was lovely, spacious. However, the sofa bed was broken and as there was no 24hr reception, I was forced to sleep on the floor.

Good facilities and generous in size. Ideal if you have something on at Rod Laver arena (within walking distance). Not a 5 star place but comfortable, roomy and great views. We booked a 1 bed apartment and they put us in a 2 bed apartment so we had loads of space. Had good kitchen, washing machine, 2 bedrooms and lounge room. After doing a lot of research on places to stay in Melbourne, we settled on punt hill manhattan because it was cheaper than most hotels but offered apartment sized accommodation and a great location. We found the lounge and kitchen area to be huge, tidy and full sized fridge and microwave very handy. Bed was super comfortable too. Air con worked well […] as did wifi (18 dollars a day). Only downsides were washing machine was not in great condition and shower head was very low(not ideal for a six foot four person!). Overall would recommend! Read more

At first we were given a dark room next to the car park on the first (US second) floor with a view of the parking lot wall next door. This was no place to be for seven days, so we asked for a room higher up. Our wish was granted and we had a room on the 6th floor, which was bright and had a bit of a view. We stayed at the Punthill Manhattan for two nights to attend the AFL Grand Final. We found the location excellent and loved how much space we had in our one bedroom apartment. One downside was that the towels provided were cheap and thin. Perhaps they could have provided an extra towel or two. I was pleased to see that they provided face cloths. We […] also found the bath tub quite slim, and as the shower is above the bath it wouldn't be a pleasant showering experience for a large person. While these apartments were advertised as serviced, our room was not vacuumed or thoroughly cleaned once in our four day stay. Towels were changed and the bed remade but this was the extent of the 'service'. Location was great but disappointing service detracted from overall experience.

We only had one night in the Punthill Manhattan but were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, the amenities and cleanliness. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is large and comfortable. It would be a very pleasant place to spend an extended stay in Melbourne at a very reasonable room rate. Although it is situated on Flinders lane […] it was easy to find and there were many bars and restaurants nearby. It is an easy walk to the MCG and all that the Melbourne CBD has to offer. Our only minor concern was the reception closed at 8:30pm and as we were arriving after midnight we were very lucky that we rang beforehand as you need to get your key from a lock box which has a code. There was nothing on our booking information to inform us of this so it was only by chance that I rang to let them know of our late arrival. I wonder how many other guests have turned up to find they have no access to the hotel or their room? Apart from that can highly recommend this property. Read more

Good location. 3 bdrm apt is great for staying with friends or family and makes it a very affordable stay. Great layout with awesome kitchen. although shower could be bigger/better. Ask for higher level room if possible. First floor can be quite noisy. Dinner at Cumulus, next door, is a must.

Overall it's agreat place to stay.......easy walking distance to mcg for the footy...nice eateries close by ........very clean and warm.....will definitely stay again and would recommend to friends.....only downfall was the spa wasn't working.........oh and they have a no party policy so you get a grat nights sleep.........

I stayed with a friend for 6 nights. Fantastic hotel. The room was cleaned and towels replaced every day. Staff very helpful. Big bathroom with good light and hair drier! Didn't even need to use the heater because the room was so well insulated. Great location - easy to walk anywhere (we even walked into the Melbourne suburbs from our apartment). The […] apartment was at the other end of Flinders Lane (ie away from the main city centre) but it took us 5 minutes to walk to the city, plus it meant we had more peace and quiet.
