Stayed one night for a graduation. Had a good breakfast and a clean and fairly large room for the price. I would not stay for an extended period but it was sufficient for one nights stay.

Room was basic and generally clean but outdated. However, several things were in need of repair (towel bar falling off wall, doorknob to bathroom so loose it too was close to falling off). Stayed here b'c rooms in Bloomington were too expensive that weekend, but I'd try the Holiday Inn Express next time.

Overall, this was a nice hotel. They lacked in the attention to little details like mirrors, microwaves, and door cleanliness but then I am a detail person. This did not effect the overall room which was clean and very adequate. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The rate was fair for the services provided. I would stay again.

Since all the hotels in Bloomington know when school is out, the Martinsville Best Western is a nice alternative. Although about 17 miles north of B-town, it is more than half the price of the B-town hotels. It is close to restaurants, Walmart, etc. Hotel is friendly, comforatble and quiet. I stay there every time I pick my child up from IU.

Not good, when we checked in clerk didn't tell us they were having problems with cable, so no TV. Put loud guests next to us, complained, didn't do anything about they were loud until early hours of morning , needless to say, did not get much sleep.

the heater is quite old and noisy. There was no thermostat thus we were one minute sweating and the next freezing. When the heater would go on it was like an oven and when it would stop it was like a freezer.

As soon as we walked into the room we could tell people had been smoking there. The smell gave it away. It was not over powering which is why we decided to stay there anyway but definitely noticeable. Also cigarette stains on the bathtub. We laughed at the notice that said "THIS IS A NON SMOKING ROOM. ANYONE CAUGHT SMOKING COULD BE SUBJECT TO A DEEP […] CLEANING CHARGE." No way the room has been deep cleaned. Guess nobody got caught! Read more

The hotel staff was very helpful. First impressions of the hotel room was toliet wouldn't work, second, smoke detector was hanging by wires from ceiling, third, dust on all of furniture, fourth, room smelled like smoke. This was my second stay at this hotel and it was more than adequate. The room was updated, clean and comfortable. It also was a lot less expensive than staying in Bloomington for college "move-in". Only a 20 min drive to B-town!

Nothing spectacular! We needed a place to hold up overnight on our way to IU. This Best Western was close to our destination. The room was clean, but was dated, as was the remainder of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was about as basic as you could get.

Booked this not realizing the Indy 500 was in town the same weekend. Location was a little farther from downtown Indy than expected. But the hotel was quiet despite the race, the neighborhood is safe, and staff were adequate.

This place was nice for the price. It's right off 37, so convenient if you're making a trip to Bloomington for a game. I would stay here again. My only complaint is that smoking rooms are on the same floor and next to some non-smoking rooms...

When you make a reservation, make sure you can specify a NON SMOKING room! I was put in a smoking room the first night which was awful and then demanded a non smoking room the second night. The hotel is fine as long as you do this.

The room had a musty odor when we arrived. Staff said it had not been occupied for a while and they sent someone up with a spray and said it smelled like someone had smoked in it. After that the room was fine.

ice maker for motel was out of order, so we had to get ice elsewhere. Back entrance door would not open with our room key. A guest inside saw opned it for us, otherwise we would have had to walk around the hotel to enter.

Overall very good experience. Only mark against the stay was internet connectibility difficulties. Had to go to the lobby to access wi-fi. Other than that, clean and well-kept. Breakfast was more than adequate and my young son, who accompanied me, was more than filled up. Will use again.

Hotel was attractive inside and out, price was competitive, and a pretty good value. Beds were soft and springy, like others have stated, good or bad depending if you like a soft matress or not. Breakfast was good, saved time stopping somewhere else.

Checked in 2 hr. early on a Wednesday for a 4-night stay& there were ABSOLUTELY no cars in the lot. Requested a downstairs room/handicapped access. (Am 64 and advised clerk that I just had major hip surgery). Clerk was totally unconcerned, said I should have advised earlier) Said rooms were pre-assigned, and were reserving downstairs rooms for (healthy […] 18-22 year old) championship collegiate track teams (that I later learned made reservations after me). Had me upstairs/to the back of the hotel. No printer for airline boarding passes, and breakfast was a 2 on a 1 to 10. My arrival interrupted the front desk attendants' cigarette break outside the FRONT door. An employee was on the guest computer throughout my 4-day stay (on a Indian or Pakistani website). There was a foul smell of cigarette smoke in upstairs hallway upon arrival & NO elevator. Stairway carpets were filthy. Needed a duplicate key card at ine juncture, but front desk was left unattended for 10 minutes and had to wait. Microwave in room had to be unplugged because it's timer sounded like an all night alarm clock that you could not shut off. This hotel was GROSSLY OVERPRICED (memorial day weekend). Watched as a local resident/aquaintance of clerk (not guest) walked in and filled her ice chest for a daughters' outing (while chatting about local town events with front desk attendant) NOT a 2 1/2 star. his location might be better than sleeping in your car. The rooms were very clean. They had an old airconditioner sitting in the hall our entire stay and it looked like it had been there for some time it just looked real tacky. Otherwise the people were nice and friendly and we had a pleasant stay. Would stay at this motel again if in the area.

Although the room was very clean, the cigaratte smell was overwhelming. We had asked for a non-smoking room but obviously we were not fortunate enough to get one. The linens were very stained and some were even torn. It was like using rags for bathing. The staff was very friendly and the location was fine.
