We were very happy with our acommadations at this hotel. Employees were very welcoming and the grounds were excellent. This hotel has a really very good restaurant called the Bistro. We usually do not eat at the hotel, but this restaurant was wonderful---breakfast and dinner. The only criticism we had were the linens in our room. They do need to up grade.

Very noisy next to the highway. The wife did not feel safe although the hotel had a uniformed guard in the parking lot.

I loved that I could have my cat. Gave us a room on the ground floor. Restaurant Milt's was very good. So was the free breakfast. Close to freeway. Very nice.

with their hotels. My wife and I got to our hotel, and even though Hotels.com said I would have a non-smoking room... all they had were SMOKING rooms! We went to bed at 11:pm and woke up at 6am and it felt like I had smoked a half a pack of cigarattes in my sleep!

Did not know it was a truck stop... Wanted it near the freeway and the noise was loud until we were in the room and there it was fine... Clean room but old and rusty... We had 2 doubles and one was new the other old... Haha... I got the new :) The pool was not heated and the office manager said the reason is because in Bakersfield if they heat it then […] it causes moss to grow almost instantly... Bummer?? What a dump!!! The room was so nasty I didn't even want to take my shoes off. Forget about the shower, it hadn't been well cleaned. The toilet broke, and they had no one to fix it. The staff clearly had no idea about customer service.

This is a bare bones place to stay. Lots of freeway & traffic noise as well as the loudest plumbing system I've every encountered. The room had not been cleaned in a very long time, and my room was facing the freeway so I didn't sleep well due to the sound of big rigs and traffic all night. The room was fine.... the front desk was rude.... not allowed to take donuts out of the front area. Had to eat in there, not allowed to take coffee & donuts to the room! How unreasonable! I will not stay there again and I truly hope this is not how Vagabonds everywhere are. If so, I wont stay with them!

Breakfast was excellent if you are on high carb diet. Needed some protien yogurt hard boiled eggs. Other than that everything was good. Try the taco cart across the street by the gas station or Milts for a great service and awesome food
