"Cock Roach Spotted"
I ordered a non-smoking room but they informed me because of a booking issue I had to go into a smoking room. In the morning as I sat down on the toilet I saw a cock scramble under the sink area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not even a piece of paper"
This is a hotel with a small kitchen and sitting area like a small studio. I was happy to have a kitchen and stopped by a store before I checked in. When I got to the room I was disappointed because it is a little grungy with old worn furniture. The bathroom and the kitchen need a good scrubbing. The cupboards are sticky a d dirty and there are spots […] of blood on the wall in the bathroom. The couch has cigarette burns in it and I can only assume this place has seen a lot of parties. But what really made me mad was when I went to open my bottle of wine and there is no wine opener! They stock dishes and silverware but no wine opener and no glasses (only plastic cups). So I asked for one at the front desk and they didn't even have one. Then I wanted to write down an address of a restaurant and there was not even a piece of paper or pen. I have never been in a hotel that didn't have a pad of paper near the phone. Are you kidding me? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Particularly Clean or Comfortable"
I was pretty excited to get such a good rate on a suite, but that disappeared pretty much the instant I stepped inside. The room smelled like years of microwave dinners - like bad cooking had just soaked into every textile in the place. We didn't cook the whole time we were there for fear of making it worse, and the smell never subsided. I stepped into […] the shower the first time and found that it had hair stuck all over the inside of the tub, and the bottom of the shower curtain was mildewed. The towels were incredibly scratchy, to the point that it was almost painful to dry off with them. This is probably the first place I've stayed that didn't provide shampoo - all you got was a little bar of soap. The bed was very stiff and had only two of the thinnest pillows I've ever seen in my life - we ended up wadding up our coats to put underneath them. The sheets and blanket were also very thin, and the comforter wasn't actually functional for sleeping - it was sewn on the corners to fit like a glove over the bed, so you couldn't really sleep under it. The place did come with dishes, but even though I specified that there would be two people staying, there was exactly one plastic cup, one plate, one bowl, and one fork, so we couldn't really have cooked for two people even if we'd tried. There weren't even paper cups in the room, so we had to share a water cup. I know it's an extended stay place, so I wouldn't expect housekeeping to come straighten the room every day, but we were there for three days and two nights and no one ever touched the place, even to empty the trash. Between the stale microwave dinner smell and the uncomfortable bed, we didn't really sleep the whole weekend. We've stayed at plenty of other hotels in the same area and paid less for better quality, minus the kitchenette. I'll be happy to skip it next time - proved to be more trouble than it was worth. "Needs some updating"
My husband and I like to stay in places that have a kitchen so we can make our own meals, so we will sacrafice certain things. This place could use come updating and some deep cleaning, but it worked for what we were looking for. I would stay at another extended stay in the future instead of this one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ext Stay Austin 290"
The room was about as I expected for the price. Everything was clean. I was surprised that there weren't any small shampoo, contitioner, etc. bottles, and although there was a coffee maker there wasn't and coffee or tea... Also, the location was a bit difficult to get to; had to exit the highway a couple of lights away in order to get to it. Plenty […] of nice restaurants a short drive or long walk away. "Decent Hotel for Price"
This hotel was decent especially for the cost, and it was not too far from downtown. Only room left when we booked was smoking...and obviously room was super smokey. Front desk clerk was super helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Horrible customer service air conditioner didn't work right and no one could be found to tell about it at 11 pm room had odor to it and burn marks in bathroom and kitchenGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for location"
Good value in a convenient area. Staff helpful. Room a bit dated but clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Extended Stay Deluxe, Metro - A little unkept"
The staff was very nice and the room was pretty spacious for the money. But it was not terribly clean, and the entire hotel smelled vaguely of cigarette smoke. Also, the pool was not clean enough for me to feel comfortable using it a lot. I do feel, however, like we got what we paid for. The price is pretty unbeatable for what it is!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dissatisfied Family"
This is a terrible hotel. The first night we arrived--there were prostitutes hanging outside the hotel. The room was dirty and so were the walls. Stay away.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK you get what you pay for"
Hotel was ok - last minute reservation, few bugs, did not have tea at bkfst or an ice machine, could have been cleaner stains all over one all wall - got in late didn't notice until morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel for the price"
This isn't the nicest hotel, but our room was clean, nice and had a full kitchen with stove and oven. The actual price of the room would not be worth it, but my hotel.com price was awesome. It was perfect location just north of downtown Austin. At little difficult to get to but all in all, I would definetly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for the price"
The room was clean, the AC worked, and the bed was comfy. It looked like the hotel was being reinnovated--a little at a time. I liked the kitchen and the desks. I didn't like that Wi-Fi was not free nor was there any type of continental breakfast. But the place was quiet, and easy to access. Overall, it was a good value for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick stay"
We needed a room at the last minute in Austin when most hotels were already booked. We have stayed in Extended Stay before and been very satisfied. This hotel, however, was in very poor condition. most (maybe all?) of the furniture had, tears or holes. It was clean, but had been badly used. The so called breakfast was simply coffee and cellophane wrapped […] muffins of questionable quality. The coffee, though, was good. As soon as we were done, we headed out. Get what you pay for. Room furniture stained. Would not sit on couch or chairs. Beds ok. Bathroom clean. Glasses in cupboards gross! Moldy! Extended stay hotels would not be my first choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Recommended IF!"
The hotel is older and not terribly clean. Nothing tragic, just stains, etc. If you are looking for something in the overpriced Austin hotel market where price is your main concern, this hotel is better that others in its price range. That's about all you can say for it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"From Houston to visit HTU Student"
Hotel remodled, no breakfast, no coffee on weekends. Not many amenities. If you don't spend much time at hotel it's okay to sleep. Might go back, right price and great location.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good value"
Plenty of space, furnished kitchen, comfy couch, closet. Front desk people were prompt and helpful. You have to get shampoo, etc, from the front desk if you want it. Fitness center had a bike, a treadmill, and something stair-stepper-like. They had wireless but we didn't use it because we didn't want to pay the (one-time) charge since we were only […] there one night. Would stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequete for an overnight stay"
This hotel is fine if you want a cheap place to stay overnight in Austin. All I cared about was that it was reasonably clean and had NO roaches or bedbugs. The room was basic, but not comfortable if staying more than one night. The hotel in general could use some renovations. The shower curtain had mildew spots all over it and some of the hardware in […] the rooms was rusty. The bed was a little uncomfortable. Not a good place to stay if you're on vacation or a romantic trip. The room was reasonably clean, though, and it was conveniently close to the highway and downtown Austin. I'd recommend this hotel if you are just passing through Austin or if you need a place to sleep it off after partying downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"basics, people"
The room was superficially clean but upon further inspections, there was a pile of peanut shells on the floor by the bed; 2 drawers (one in the kitchen and one on the entertainment stand) had the front fallen off, just laid on the counter with no apparent attempt to make this simple repair before occupying the room again. The kitchenette had 1 fork, […] 1 knife, 1 spoon (2 people); there was no alarm clock in the room, and none could be found by the desk clerk; and NO WAKE UP CALL!!! There are no ice machines in the building, which is fine, but the ice cube trays had not been filled in the freezer either, so NO ICE. No shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion. Shoddy and unprofessionally run. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Value - Would Stay Again"
The front desk staff was helpful and polite. The AC was super noisy, but the room was otherwise comfortable. The kitchen area was handy. I only stayed one night, but was able to get food at Central Market (relatively close), including breakfast for the next morning. There was a coffee maker and no coffee packets, but that wasn't an issue for me. I felt […] pretty safe staying there. I would stay again if I were traveling alone or with my husband -- not sure I would take the whole family, just because they're more spoiled and it's definitely no frills! "Extended Stay Deluxe Austin Metro - Decent Value"
Not bad for the cost. Friendly staff. Clean, but there was a funny smell in the room. Not bad, just strange, nothing Febreze couldn't handle. There are no front desk staff between 11pm & 6am. An on-call person is available by phone. This is a good enough place for several night's stay if you want to save money. Kitchenette is nice w/ full-sized refrigerator […] because you can buy groceries & save on the cost of meals. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
