We enjoyed our stay here. Little small but well kept. Convenient walk to main street shops and restaurants.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

t think for the price I don't think you can beat the place. Yes its a bit dated etc and parking could be tight (especially if those people with big trucks who can't park!!). If you want a cheap hotel its for you, if not, then pay more and go elseware.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

Even though our stay at the Copperstone Resort was short, we had a great time visiting with friends in the area. We had all the conveniences of home in this great 'condo-like' accommodation and we so enjoyed the mountain views and fresh mountain air. Because of its nearness to Canmore and Banff, we were able to enjoy a fabulous mountain weekend retreat! The staff were super friendly and always had a smile for us. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a break from busy city life! I'll be back for sure . . .
Location.
The Banff Caribou Lodge and Spa stands 5 blocks from downtown Banff, Alberta, Canada. Upper Hot Springs and the Sulphur Mountain Gondola are located 5 kilometers away, while area ski lifts are positioned 6 kilometers from the lodge.
Hotel Features.
The lobby is dominated by a massive fieldstone fireplace and displays hand-hewn timbers, ranch-style furnishings and original alpine-scene artwork. The lobby houses an Internet kiosk which can be accessed for a fee. Complimentary underground parking is available. The Keg Steakhouse and Bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This rustic-style restaurant specializes in steak and seafood, but also offers vegetarian dishes. The Red Earth Spa offers an exclusive line of European Phytomer spa products for hotel guests. Spa treatments include Vichy therapies, beauty services, and Swedish, shiatsu, and sports massages. The spa houses a spa tub, a sauna and separate exercise rooms for men and women. Yoga classes are offered twice weekly. The spa provides yoga mats.

Diners can choose open seating or booths in rooms featuring mountain-inspired art, rock embellishments, and stained glass.
This hotel has a full-service spa with six treatment rooms. Recreational amenities also include a large spa tub, sauna, and a fitness room with stationary bicycle, elliptical trainer, treadmill, free weights, and strength-training equipment. A yoga room offers classes twice weekly.

"Great hotel Great location"

"Wonderful stay"
The hotel was quiet, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the friendly fire in the lobby filled the entire hotel with a wonderful smokey aroma. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous rooms, modern furniture and a big, flat screen tv! It was perfect! I was very comfortable and would definitely recommend it to others. Also, the Keg restaurant downstairs is so convenient and meals were fabulous! :)

This place needs some major work! Upon arrival, we where given a key to a room that was already occupied. As an "upgrade" we where put in a fourth floor room where the slanted ceiling took up two-thirds of the living space... so it was easy to bang your head on the way to the bathroom, day or night. "Shortcomings for the price"
The staff at this hotel is exceptionally nice. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. They offer nice perks like a bus pass with unlimited use to go into town, which is a short 8 minute (or so) bus ride away. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the village. The hotel itself looks nice when you walk in to the lobby. However, the rooms and cleanliness of the hotel were really sub par. Our bathroom toilet did not look like it had been cleaned since the last occupant! It was pretty bad. The carpets and bed covers were also really dusty, and we had some allergic reactions to the allergens and dust. What was more was the horrible doors that swing shut. At all hours of the day and night you hear slamming doors up and down the hall, and it is LOUD and really disruptive. It would keep us up at night and wake us up in the morning. "Hotel - Good choice."
Hotel was convenient, quiet and had a nice restaurant on site. Good price value considering time of year. Having underground parking was very nice.

"Great hotel"
We stayed here twice during our 10 day trip. We enjoyed the beds. The first room had better ventilation as we just opened the windows to let the cool air in.

"No AC"
Nice hotel, had AC in the halls but no AC in the rooms. Was 80-82 F in the room at night. Very uncomfortable. For the price would expect a more.
"Caribou Lodge"
The hotel was a comfortable place to stay. The rooms looked recently upgraded with new bathrooms. Staff was very friendly & helpful. There wasn't air conditioning but the windows opened to a refreshing mountain breeze. We kept them open all night. If you like a challenge you'll love the parking garage!

We were in Banff for a conference but had several days before it to enjoy the area. This hotel contributed to the wonderful time we had. The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant had a great and affordable breakfast buffet. Although the hotel was a little far to walk to town, the bus stopped at the corner and the schedule […] was easy to figure out. "Banff Caribou in Banff"
The hotel and its room are good. The staff was freindly. The price is decent. The bad is no Microwave in room or to rent or for public use. No complimentary tea or coffee in lobby at any time. They do not tell upfront if the price includes the buffet breakfast in their restaurant Keg Steak and bar in Motel.

"Good time but wet feet,..."
We had an awesome time. Room was very clean, a little small but we had no reason to complain. We loved that the Keg was in the lobby and was able to enjoy a bottle of wine without having to worry about transportation. Overall a nice experience and would recommend it to anyone. While this was not a bad place to stay at all ... it just wasn't as nice as I thought it was going to be for the price. Very large range in quality of service from staff - one was good and other staff (Ms. Cilia) was disgustingly rude and argumentative. It is for you guys to decide if 50% good service and 50% crappy service is good enough for you guys.....Well, you might get lucky...or you might run into someone like Ms. Cilia!! "The Caribou Lodge in Banff Alberta, Canada"
We enjoyed our short stay very much. The hotel is beautifully appointed and maintained. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you like to walk, the downtown is about 20 minutes. There is a scenic photo op at every corner. Our stay was too short but we would definitely stay there again.

The room was fine except for some poor design in the bathroom. The toilet wasn't centered on the wall so the toilet paper holder was almost in your lap when you sat down. The lighting wasn't very good for applying makeup. Otherwise the room was fine. The front desk staff was very helpful.

"Cariboo Lodge in Banff - away from the crowds"
I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and quiet! We were able to book Spa time with less than 24 hours notice. Ordered breakfast and impressed with free coffee and muffins. Bed was very comfortable. I will be back.

"No airconditioning"
There is no aircondition in the rooms. A problem in July.
"expensive"
kettle had dodge flex, and make a spark when I plugged it in. Impresive lobby but rooms were just not worth the money we paid. The hot pool is great , and you get a complimentary ticket for the shuttle bus
"Best of the 3 star hotels"
4* hotels in Banff are rare and expensive so settled for a 3 star plus. Positives: Free parking - free bus into town (paid by hotel) - helpful staff - free hot whirlpool - Keg restaurant beside hotel - 15 mins walk into town Negatives: No wardrobe - furniture could do with modernising

We have previously stayed at the Caribou Lodge about 6 years ago-we liked it then-we still like it now!!.All the sraff were great.making us feel most welcome. Very clean! Very poilite and helpful staff. Could be closer to downtown Banff, but very nice and short walk if weather is nice. Would stay here again.
