We stayed in Superior King for 5 nights. The room was nice and clean with all new furnitures. Hotel breakfast was Ok. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Very close to Chinatown and shopping areas. It's not perfect but good value for what you are paying for.

Our intention was to be close to my Husband's work so he didnt have far to go after work. Travel time to our home is 1 1/2 hrs each way on public transport, this way we would see him for dinner and eat together. My daughter and I intended to see those attractions that we could walk to. A king bed with a single bed made the room quite cramped (superior […] room). Couldnt use the lounge seats as they had our bags on them. Few maintenance issues, tv reception was quite poor (the connection was quite loose), hot tap in the shower kept falling off along with extremely low pressure cold water made having a shower quite difficult. a step between the bathroom and the bedroom was a trip hazard (dont think it was supposed to be a step). The pool was magnificent although if there were quite a few people up there the number of seats available beside the pool was quite limited. Breakfast was included in our price, the first day was great but the second day it was cold. probably wouldnt include breakfast again as our child would only have a bowl of cereal. All in all the location was good for our excursions, no noise from the street just from the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Read more

For an executive room with a King size Bed.... We were lied to. only a double bed. I have had Spa rooms with King size beds for half the price in other Major cities in Australia. Disappointing. The only thing good was the amazing staff. Very friendly and Happy.

GOOD: Location, staff service, king size bed very comfortable; meal in Encore restaurant was excellent. BAD: bathroom was terrible, outdated, shower head leaked, water temp extreme, either way too hot or too cold; also no fly screens on windows. Hotel is well located, basically in Chinatown (which offers excellent eating and value for money) and close to most places of interest by foot or public transport. The Hotel is a good value for money and it's nice to have an outdoor roof-top pool to use. Concierge were friendly, even when we had checked out, and were waiting for some time in the lobby […] to go to the airport as my daughter and myelf were not feeling well from a meal outside the night before; one of the staff was kind enough to ask us if they could make us more comfortable and invited us into the bar area which was quieter with more comfortable seats, and gave us glasses of iced water and turned on the Australian Open Tennis on TV for us. We were happy with our choice as it ws very near all of the places we wanted to visit. The only drawback was the large TV which should have been on the wall and not taking up desk space. There was a balcony with no access and the only view was to the back of other rooms.

3 single beds in a tiny room big enough for only two. The bed was jammed in so two were right up on each other. For an already small room this cut down floorspace to about 2 square metres for the whole room. Condition definitely not what I expected with the cost and star rating. Dissapointed.
