Beautiful place, and only one flaw. The room a/c wouldnt get as cold as I set the thermostat-- would have liked the room cooler than than what it got to- NOT the setting on the thermostat, but a beautiful hotel.

We returned to the the Tikal during an adoption visit because of the friendly staff, excellent food, indoor pool, and proximity to diversions for a six year-old: movies, bowling and several shopping malls with extensive food court are within easy and safe walking distance. Even a Walmart is within easy driving distance. There are some signs of wear […] and tear on the hotel but rooms and common areas are being refurbised. Gracious staff. In house restaurant was quite nice. Room amenities/linens were all of good/higher quallity. Slightly above average work-out facilities (for a three star hotel). The location is great. Near shopping/dining. Area immediately around hotel is fairly safe. Will definitely stay here again.

I love to stay at Tikal Futura! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are welcoming and courteous, the 3-story shopping center adjacent is excellent and the variety of food venues w/in the 1/4 mile radious is unbeatable! I'm sure I will return to Tikal Futura each time I return to Guatemala.

The hotel didn't live up to the hype that we had expected. It is a nice hotel indeed and the staff is great but the rooms could use some soundproofing for sure. The noise throughout the hotel travels through the rooms as if it was happening right outside. Some new sheets wouldn't hurt either to make the night comfortable. Overall it was ok.

A variety of food courts in the adjacent mall save much time searching for meals in the city. I enjoy staying at this hotel. My only complaint is that the maids knock on every door at 8:00 am every morning to ask if you have laundry to give them. If you don't answer the door, they walk in, searching for laundry to do. Excellent Staff,rooms were very comfortable. Free Shuttle service is defenitly a plus.I didn't use Wi-Fi, on public areas, but instead use Free Internet on my room through a cable. which has a faster conection.

I thought the hotel was very nice and staff was very helpful. My only down was that I requested to double beds and got one queen instead, however, when I told staff they immediatley brought in two pull-out beds that seemed comfortable for my kids. This, of course, was at no charge.

This is my fifth year staying at this hotel and everytime I stay I love it. I also use the shuttle sevice to the airport and their service is wondeful. Very convenient since the shopping mall and food court are just right there in the same building still dont have any complains about this hotel!!!!!
