The hotel is good, typical Hampton, clean and comfortable. When I checked in, I was originally put on the 4th floor....when I went up to the room, the hallway smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. This is a smoke free hotel. I went to the desk and reported this. This hotel is only a few miles away from the main Bloomington area for Mall of Ameica and Airport and is exceptional value with the usual high level of amenities and service you expect from the Hampton Inn. The staff were first class and even let my 10 year old daughter check her email from reception when the business center computer was in use.

The first thing I look for in a hotel is the cleanliness. I will pay extra and drive a few extra miles to stay in a hotel that is clean. So before making reservations I read several reviews and they all said about the same thing: very clean, friendly staff and the breakfast was great. They were exactly right! The hotel was very clean. The beds were […] very comfortable. There was even a post-it note on the headboard of one of the beds letting us know that the bed had clean sheets and a clean comforter. There was also a note from the manager that their goal was to surpass our expectations. Mission accomplished. It's these little things that set this hotel above the rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The woman overseeing the dinning area even cleared our table of dirty plates as we ate! Great staff, super friendly and helpful! Great lobby set up, continental breakfast, pool, hot tub. Great location, easy to find! We stayed on New Years Eve and it was clean and comfortable. After a 7 hour drive, it was nice to have a clean, fresh room in which to rest our weary bones. We were thankful for the free breakfast; always an added plus. No time to use the pool, but it looked very nice. I thought that the bed was fine, my husband wasn't very impressed. All in all, a very comfortable room.

I literally had to throw a substatial shoulder block into the door to get it open. It was too large for the opening it was squeezed into. The "free breakfast" was a joke. Cold and lame. We always stay at this hotel when we are in the twin cities.We had three rooms for six nights over Christmas and was never disappointed. Have never found it to be unclean and the staff are very efficient. Breakfast is very filling and I love the indoor pool. Great job to all who work there.
