While they advertise mini fridges, complimentary water bottles n a hot breakfast, I was disappointed on all counts. Our room had no fridge. Written we asked at the desk, they said they'd move one from another room as it's "by request". 10 minutes later I'm told they won't move it. Wish I knew there were major lobby renovations underway prior to booking this place; nothing convenient from the 1st floor (gym, ice, etc). Friendly staff, older Hampton Inn, not up to modern standards (don't think the lobby will make the rooms better).

Well, the hotel seemed friendly enough, but the rooms, we had to open windows to help with the Smoke smell that saturated the room.... it was almost unbearable! the beds were very comfortable, good breakfast to. Probably won't stay there again....

We liked staying here. They welcome pets. However, I was not able to get the room I reserved, needing a refrigerator for the food and water for the pets. We had to take a double queen room rather than a king bed room in order to get the refrigerator.

We stayed here while we participated in the Baseball All-Star festivities. We found the hotel to be in excellent shape and met our needs nicely. I am on the road a lot and, being on a special diet, mostly prepare meals in the room with a microwave & refrigerator available. I called ahead to be sure I could have both in my room and was told they would be able to accommodate my request. When I realized there was no microwave in my room, I asked at the front desk and was told none of the rooms […] had microwaves and I was welcome to use the one downstairs off the breakfast room. I ended up buying a small microwave for the week I stayed. The carpet in my room was covered with hard debris and I stepped all over things on the floor when I was barefoot. I probably won't book at this location again, although it is not a bad place but not as comfortable or nice as other Hampton Inns I've stayed in. It lived up to the otherreviews I had read. The reason for a 4 not a 5 was there were no amenities such as pool, sauna, fitness room. Room faced the Interstate; non-stop traffic noise. Room had no refrigerator or microwave, features I expected because they were in the Hampton in which I had just stayed for a week. This was a great hotel. Located on I-70 for very easy access to Independence or Kansas City. Very clean and spacious room. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Other than the room being a little small, the hotel was still awesome. Loved the pool it looked like you were in Hawaii or something. Warm water and the kids loved it, even got a morning swim in! Breakfast waffles were really good and the breakfast was more variety than the usual breakfast!

After detouring for 45 minutes, we finally found the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was much closer to the highway we would need access to than we had originally thought. I actually showed my white socks to the manager in charge, the bottoms of which had become totally blackened from a short duration exposure to the filthy carpet. (My wife had asked me, "Do you feel like you're sticking to the carpet in here, or is it just me?") The hotel manager endeavored to start the refund process for one of the two nights. I said […] (with a bit of sarcasm), "Oh, the carpet was only ths dirty for one night?" Almost immediately they said they would refund both nights, but having been purchased through a site such as yours, that process should take several weeks. The air conditioner seemed to be non-reactive to requests for change, either from the wall control or the local control. This facility is easy on and off I-70 so it is easy to get to the many things to do in the KC area. The KC Chiefs and Royals stadium is a short 10 minute ride.
