"Mini Vacation"

"A friendly and convenient place to stay"
The staff were the nicest and the most helpful of anywhere i have stayed. They made you feel welcome and were there to meet any and all needs. There is fresh water available all day that is infused with fresh fruit and there is 5:00 wine hour which was always nice.Genuine Expedia guest review

From the champagne welcome, to the late check experience, this hotel and it's staff are first class. The staff always says, "yes" and knew me by name after my 3 night visit. THE GOOD: Renovated in 2011 and still seems new. Pet friendly, but no signs that pets have been here. Great service at the lobby, pool, and room. They go the "extra mile" to make you feel comfortable. For example, they brought us coffee on Thanksgiving Day, normally a charge, but it was a gift. The nice server would not even accept my tip!! Another […] great service is the Decobike rack near the exit to the beach. We rented bikes, rode around, and didn't have to walk very far to return the bike. And for those looking to be ON THE BEACH, yes, it is. You have to walk across the sidewalk area, but it is on the beach. Just check out the satellite views. THE BAD: Actually, nothing was bad. Like most places, there is some room for improvement. The Lantao restaurant had good food, but service was a little slow. The server was very nice and was trying, but I could tell they seemed to be in the weeds and getting behind with so many patrons. Rooms are small... which was not a surprise. The hotel staff was incredible all the way from the door man to the maintenance guy. They all made sure that everything was tip top and the wine hour was superb!!! Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was very relaxing and I really enjoyed hanging out there. The proximity to the beach is great, since the hotel backs up to the ocean. I was, however, very disappointed with the room. Not only was it tiny, but the bed was very uncomfortable and I tossed and turned all night. The view from my room was the […] next door building about 15 feet away and the ledges along that building had old clothes/rags that had probably been dropped accidentally. It kinda looked like a ghetto alley. The hallways in the hotel are so dark that it felt spooky. I guess I am just used to nice fancy hotels and not the smaller "boutique" type. Also, the music in the lobby area was so loud I felt I was in a nightclub atmosphere, even at 7 in the morning when I had to go out to work. Located ON the beach, and Ocean Collins Ave, and just two blocks from Lincoln..this is perfect if you want to be close to the heart of South Beach (Ocean Blvd) but without the noise...this is the place to be. Upon arrival we were greeted by a super friendly doorman named Brian who brought our luggage up to the room and made suggestions on what spots we should visit while on our trip to Miami Beach. The front desk staff were equally as friendly and helpful, from check in to check out. The pool was right off the beach, clean and there were plenty of towels/ […] chairs. There is a tiki bar and drink service by the pool. It's in a fantastic location, walkable to Lincoln Rd and Ocean Drive sights. Loved having the bikes available to rent right inside the back gate - made getting around without the car even easier. My only two complaints would be the "modern" shower had half a door. I never understand why hotels do this - the floor ends up getting soaked, and the pool could use a little more greenery, there was less than other hotels in the area. Our room was nice, but the bathroom was very small and difficult to function in. The pool area was superb, but there was inconsistent service. Actually, some staff spent more time hanging out with each other than seeing if we needed or wanted anything. We stayed from Monday to Friday. The beach venue was great, but we thought chairs and an umbrella […] should have been included in our room price. Service was promised on Monday, but was actually pretty bad after that. We were told that the pool temp could be regulated per guest request, but it was very cold on Wednesday and Thursday. Raphael stated the pool temp was 89. Not so much. Friday it was warm. This is a beautifully renovated hotel in the Art Deco area of South Beach. It is close to restaurants and on the beach. Great pool area. The rooms are a bit small but beautiful. "Fun stay on Beach"
A very nice hotel at the beach. Many sights and shopping within walking distance. Hosted happy hour at the pool or in the lobby depending on the weather. Although I was not a fan of the wine served, we did take advantage of that nicety. The only issue we really had was a very slow drain in the shower.
