Hampton Inn Boston/Peabody - Peabody

Room was very clean. Every employee I encountered was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Was about 20 minutes from Boston according to the time of day. Beds were very comfortable.

As a person who uses a walker and a diabetic , I telephoned the hotel days before our stay to ask that we have a refrigerator in the room and that our room be as close to the lobby as possible. The room was locatet at the end of the corridor off the lobby and had no refrigerator. The hotel appeared brand new inside and was very cheerful and clean. They served a lovely breakfast. I have however stayed at other Hampton Inn's that had more comfortable beds. I'm not sure what the difference was. Overall I feel it is a very good value and would stay there again.

Have stayed at Hampton Inn in the past and have always ben pleased. This was not my favorite one - there was an odor in the room and when we go to the room it looked as if they were trying to get it out with a type of fan. The heat\air conditioning was loud everytime it kicked on and the walls were paper thin - too noisy.

The first room that we were placed in smelled like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Although the hotel appeared to have low occupancy the staff was reluctant to move us. The hotel is undergoing renovations so I suspect they have lapsed on maintaining the old facilities. The lobby was under construction so the breakfast was served in a guest […] room. It was really just an after thought, limited food options, no forks etc.... We then had the choice to eat in another guest room or bring back to ours. Hampton Inn is usually a good choice for clean no frills accomidations but this one is not up to par. Wait until the construction is over. Read more

We arrived in the evening round 8-ish pm. Checked in. I used the bathroom-no problems. My friend used the bathroom after me and when she flushed the toilet it overflowed. What a stinking mess! There was no one to fix it at that time so we had to move to another room. When we got to our new room, there was no fridge! We asked for someone to give us one […] and we went to dinner. When we came back, a fridge was on the floor, not even against the wall, looking like whoever put it in there was angry at our request. It's weird to have a mini fridge on the floor and not in a cabinet, as I always see in other hotels. It looks so cheap. The hotel is located in an area where there's a very difficult U-Turn sharp left and then you have to get into the far right lane immediatly. Mass. drivers don't let you in for nothing, so it made it a dangerous feat to get to the right so we could get to the hotel. Read more

This was clean, comfortable hotel and the breakfast was good. Staff were extremely helpful. We had paid for the room in advance via expedia. When we arrived the hotel asked for the usual credit card pre authorisation for any extra expenses incurred whilst we were there. i had loaded dollars onto a pre-paid Mastercard before my holiday, so used this. […] We didn't spend anything extra, but a week later there is still a $50 "authorisation" on my account. I can't access that money until the hotel has released it. I think that this is very poor practice for a major hotel chain and it would make me think twice before booking again. Read more

The rooms were very clean, only complaint is there was no refrigerator. The location was confusing and it was hard to get back on the other side of the highway. The highlight of the breakfast was the waffle maker; the other items were not so great.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was also friendly and attentive to keeping the food properly stocked. The food at breakfast exceeded typical hotel breakfasts. They had a great buffet with a wide variety of foods-lots of healthy choices.

There was nothing bad or great about my stay. The temperature in the room was either too hot or too cold and the bed was totally lumpy so getting a good night's sleep was out of the question. I left around 4pm without turning on any lights and when I returned that evening, random lamps had been turned on in my room. I placed the "privacy" door hanger […] on the handle before leaving, but housekeeping came in anyway. I called the front desk to ask if they had a record of who had entered my room and at what time and she confirmed that housekeeping had been in there. Apparently, there was a mix up and a different room had asked for towels. OK, understandable, but she didn't need to come in and start turning on all of my lights and moving my personal stuff around. I was totally uncomfortable with that. At the very least, there should have been a message on my phone explaining the situation and apologizing. Instead, the girl at the front desk laughed it off like it was some sort of silly mix up and didn't bother to apologize. I didn't make a big deal out of it, but I know I won't be staying there again.
