Overall the hotel was nice, however, when I booked the room, there were choices of rooms to pick from. I choose a smoking room with a river view. Upon checking in, those rooms were full and I ended up with a non-smoking room with a view of the parking garage. Apparently making a reservation does not get you anything you reserved, or effort on the hotels part to provide you with an "equal". If it wasn't for the fact I was there for a planned event at that hotel, I would have took my business elsewhere.

Our room and the casino looked clean but the hallways and outside grounds looked like they were cutting back or delaying maintenance. Can't say I blame them as the hotel was about half full. Walked to other casinos in the area and they were empty. Harrahs at least had some life, the others looked like they were ready to close down.

As a first-time visitor to Laughlin, it was not that bad to have chosen Harrah's Hotel & Casino. But I think people had better stay at Aquaris if they are more into river tours and water sports. In order to try a steam-boat tour, need to take a water-taxi to Aquaris first. There is nowhere to go by walk outside the hotel.

This hotel was awesome. My husband and I arrived early to Laughlin. Went to the front desk and asked if we can check in early and they were very happy to help and let us check in early, like three hours early. Big plus. Our room was OK, typical hotel room expected for what we paid, but it was clean. This hotel is the only hotel on the strip that has a private beach, which is really cool especially with the 100 degree heat. The hotel is a bit far from the rest of the hotels so I recommend to either drive or take the taxi boat to the other hotels, unless you like to walk.:). I would definetely stay at this hotel again.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the hole thing was...and the lunch/dinner buffett was AMAZING! The only down side was there was not enough parking for trucks with trailer (seedoo's)if you came in from the river late you had to park pretty far away...and it was HOT to walk! :)

Given the excellent price we paid for this hotel, I'm hesitant to say anything negative. However, as a minimum, cleanliness is essential. The tub didn't look clean, with several hairs -- in fact, we skipped our shower that day because we didn't feel confident it had been cleaned. Then we wondered whether the rest of the bathroom had been cleaned. Major "ewww" factor. Otherwise, it was fine. There were no bedspreads, just a double top sheet enveloping a blanket, which was fine given the temperature.

I haven't slept in a twin sized bed since I was a child. When I called the front desk about it, there was no explanation for it. Other than that, the room and the hotel is standard fare.
