"Dog Friendly sorta - but filthy - terrible parking"
Harrah's Laughlin is at the far end of the Laughlin hotel strip built up against the river edge. So parking for them is paved lots on the hills around the hotel. So unless you use valet parking, or are handicapped, OR are one of the extremely lucky people who happen to find a spot within the limited number of parking spots close to the hotel you may […] be walking with your luggage quite a distance. As far as being dog friendly they do accept dogs in certain rooms with a deposit. our room was old and the carpets filthy. The air conditioner was not working well and it was difficult to sleep in the warm room. There were dog stains of who knows what everywhere. The "dog relief area" was a 10' x 12' fenced area of dirt with a fake hydrant in the middle. Dogs are not allowed to use any of the grass area in the back of the building. There is black top surrounding the front of the hotel, so except for an unlighted undeveloped hillside at the far end of one of the parking lots, there is no place to walk your dog except the busy parking lot. The staff that checked us in was very nice. Our room had an excellent view of the pools and river. Our room was cleaned very nicely each day of our stay. The Valet service was very slow considering that there just weren't that many people waiting as we came and went during the day. The Valet staff were very nice, helpful but waiting for 15 - 20 minutes […] for our car we felt was excessive since there might have been two other people waiting for their car. We booked a room wanting a non-smoking from Hotels.com website. The option was not there for non-smoking. I waited in line 10 minutes at the front desk for a woman to come out and ask if I needed help. Why else would I be in line if I didn't need help?
