Extremely dated but that is not reflected by the prices... only stay there if you have a very early flight... otherwise, stay a little further away and take the hotel shuttle.

"room like a box"
the room was like staying in a box. I mean really felt like staying in Motel 6, wallpaper old and used, scratched, terrible old Air-conditioning, just felt awful staying in the room. Internet and no Breakfast for the price of $180!!! The workout room looked great on the pictures, but was really small and not great, no TV or Earphone worked!!

"Great location for an early flight out of AMS"
The hotel is right at the airport but located nearly orthogonal to the runways. So it is very quiet in the rooms and you don't hear the jets. They have a very good breakfast buffet with European and US-style breakfast. Rooms are clean. I can't say much about the service; we didn't need anything but everybody was friendly and appeared to be helpful. It is a good place if you have an early morning flight out of AMS or arrive late. Either take the shuttle to drive around the parking garage and use the walkways and you are make it in ~3 minutes.

Very Clean and I had a nice experience. Very convenient to airport. I had a night layover and it fit my needs. I paid in advance and they wanted a credit card which I only had cash and a kind person put her card on my room. That was the only annoyance. In my opinion if u aren't planning on using guest services u shouldn't have to put any deposit.

"a long walk from the airport"
clean hotel, very accommodating to early check in. Rooms are very small, but clean and functional. About a 10 min walk from the airport terminal. It has a shuttle, but only runs every half hour or so.

"Good value, great location"
Hotel was good - great check in experience, able to change currency, nice breakfast available (extra $). Internet was expensive, but available. Can't beat the convenience to airport. they are building a new Hilton right next door so while hotel is a little dated in rooms, they were clean and comfortable. Getting a taxi seemed to be an ordeal, so was easier to go to airport (5-7 minute walk) to get taxi from there. Room service prompt and good.

Helpful staff. Couldn't do enough. Free wifi would have been nice as we have been used to it after traveling for three months. Otherwise lovely and close for our flight the next day.

"Walk to the airport/train station"
If you are renting a car and leaving by train this is a great location. The motel is 100 ft from the rental car check- in and you can walk to the airport very easily. The motel was very nice and staff was friendly and very helpful. I was disappointed there was not free wifi in the rooms. It was more expensive than other options we found however.

"booking not found"
I arrived at the hotel at 23.30 hours only to be told that there was no record of my booking. To make matters worse, the member of staff I spoke to was very unhelpful and dismissive even when I showed him email correspondence from Hotel.com confirming my booking. He plainly told me that the Hotel does not deal with hotel.com.I was bewildered and frustrated. I then managed to speak to his colleagues who were helpful and patiently explained that I needed to pay a deposit whilst they found out what the problem was . They returned it the next morning. The mistake was on their side.By the time I went to bed at almost 0100hrs, not only was I tired ,Iwas very disappointed with the reception I had received.

"Nice hotel, very convenient to the airport."
I wasn't there long, just one night. There was a nice enclosed walkway to the airport, or a shuttle that runs from airport to hotel very frequently. My only complaint was no free wifi from the room, you had to be in the lobby for free wifi, or pay 20€ to access it from the room.

"good for a night in Schiphol"
Perfectly adequate for a night in Schiphol, if you arrive late or have to leave early. Not much charm, but it is super convenient to the terminal (there is a covered moving walkway connecting them, so it is, effectively, even closer than shows on the map) and who really cares if they charge a fortune for a wi-fi connection or a breakfast - push comes to shove, you just walk to the airport and have a coffee in the Starbucks there. Very functional.

"Very comfortable despite building next door"
I was worried when I saw that Hilton is constructing a new hotel right next to the old one. I was afraid the existing hotel wouldn't be kept up. The room felt a bit dated decor-wise, but the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was kept clean and in excellent working order. The eating options were expensive - but probably on par with other hotels. We had room service and the food was surprisingly good quality. If you have luggage with wheels, I'd advise walking between the terminal and the hotel. I didn't get the info on how to do that. There's an enclosed and elevated walkway that leads into the Sheraton. Follow that and it continues to a few other hotels and ends in the Hilton car park. It only takes a few minutes and saves waiting for the hotel shuttle (we waited half an hour). We walked on the return journey and it was much faster. I normally avoid staying in chain hotels, but this stay reminded me that there are good reasons to do so. I'd recommend it if you need to spend an overnight near Schipol.

"Great location for quick turn around"
Fantastic location for quick turn around in Amsterdam. Connected to airport so no need for transportation. From airport easy access via train to Central Station (about 15 minutes) for quick round of sight-seeing. Very gracious, friendly staff. Extremely comfortable beds and cozy bedding. Clean and accomodating. Provided good assistance with sight-seeing and kept our luggage for us inbetween flights since we were returning two weeks later for overnight stay on our return from Africa. Very helpful.

"Great staff."
This location is conveniently located next to the car rental pickups in Schiphol airport. The facility was a bit worse than the usual Hilton I am used to in the US. Seems a bit older. There is construction to expand the hotel and it should be better in the future. The stay was very comfortable. Comfortable bed with all the conveniences you'd expect. Staff was extremely friendly. Especially, Paul at the front desk was friendly and helpful. He gave us some great tips on local must see spots and activities. He made our day with his enthusiasm and friendliness!

"very clean, comfort and nice hotel at the airport"
location is just perfect, directly connected to the airport, which has groceries, cafes, many other stores, and train station! very convenient for me to stay for two nights. but one thing about this hotel to be improved is staffs at the reception. some are very nice but a couple of them are not. there were some mistakes in my bill, I did not hear any sorry from staff, even when I checked out and left the hotel, no good bye at all. a bit weird, i think.

"At AMS airport"
Really appreciated an early check-in (9:00 AM) after a long flight from USA. Friendly staff and decent breakfast spread. Did not use the expensive in room internet, but free internet and a computer in the executive lounge was adequate. Good sound insulation. No airport and nearby construction noises.

On executive floor might as well have been in a smoky bar. No free in room internet, noisy party, and cigarette smoke enough to make our clothes smell. Booked a king size bed got two doubles pushed together. Staff was fine but ineffective in correcting problem even though told after our first night. Spraying the room is not a solution!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. We upgraded to Executuve Floor on arrival which then included breakfast and free cocktails/snacks in Executuve lounge on executive floor, which was significantly cheaper than buying breakfast and cocktails, and we enjoyed a much more relaxed and quieter environment. Shuttle or 5 minute walk to Schipol airport/station made it very accessible.

"Would have been fine 20 years ago"
Being charged 24Euros a night for in-room wireless access, having a smoke filled rom fir two straight nights on the Executive floor, having to walk through parking lots to reach hotel from Schipol all would have been typical twenty years ago but were a very disappointing end to our three weeks in Europe as this was the only time internet was not free, where smoking was a problem, and where hotel access was not simple. The staff were great but couldn't help with a balky remote control or business centre where all the machines were turned off, or a party above us on our last night where we on,y had four hours to sleep before an early flight. Will not be back and can not recommend.

"A bit worn,"
Yes it did look a bit worn, the main effort is going into building the new HILTON 100 meters away Staff was very good with one exception, front desk when arriving was rather indifferent when I was asking for information, I would have given them a 4 otherwise. Restaurant was good, excellent Pinot Grigio and the fish was well cooked, moist and tender.

This was the first time in Amsterdam and the location was convenient to the airport. The walk to the hotel was short and easy. Much of our time was spent in Amsterdam proper so the train was conveniently located at the airport.

I stay here whenever I have an overnight layout at AMS airport because it is very close to the airport (actually, attached to it), comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced. If you want to play in the city then take the train for 20 minutes and you are there, without lugging your baggage through the crowds.

OK place to stay. Cheaper than the nicer Sheraton next door. Will be glad when the new Hilton Airport opens up in 2015. Even executive rooms are very small. Executive lounge decent and satisfactory food. Service is excellent and staff is very helpful. Small workout room. Bar/Restaurant at Sheraton is much nicer if you want a better meal/ambiance

"Hilton is Hilton"
I did not find anything special about Schiphol Hilton, which differs it from other hotels in the chain. Comfortable (but small) room, good shower, expensive breakfast (I avoided it), expensive WiFi (also avoided). There is free slow WiFi in the lobby, so online check-in to flights may be done there. It seems also that you can do in in business center (also for free). Walking distance from the airport building, but tricky, since you need to take elevator in the end from level 2 to level 0 (described in other reviews).
