Maybe because we stayed at the Hilton in Athens the previous night and had an outstanding experience, the Hilton in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was disappointing. The room was on the 1st floor, with questionable safety because one could walk up to the window from the outside if they so wanted. There was no view, the window was overlooking a cement "yard" […] and an ugly square storage warehouse. We kept the curtains closed. The room and bathroom had some dust, and old features. The shower had a curtain that was hard to get it off your body while taking a shower. The irony was that it was more expensive than the Athens Hilton where we had a room on the 11th floor overlooking the Acropolis. Read more

Its an excellent hotel, and even had coffee in the room! (instant, but that beats the none in much of the rest Europe). Had all the expected amenities, a workout gym and real sauna, and even a safe in the room! Hotel is just across a path from the parking garage for the rental cars, so very convenient and right at airport. They do need to add some more […] signs though from the elevators to point you to the Hilton. The hotel sign is somewhat demure and hard to see in the day (I'm assuming they light it at night). Only complaint is that the room was a bit small (Bed was Full or Queen, not sure now which) with not much room to walk around. Had a challenge to find a place where I could open my luggage. The Hilton is a fairly good place to stay if you need a room near the Amsterdam airport. Note, however, the Sheraton is much closer to the terminal. The Hilton is a very long walk, especially if you have lots of luggage. The Hilton does have a shuttle service if you don't want to walk such a long distance.

The rooms at this hotel are so small that you can barely walk around the bed to get to the other side of the room. Even after we asked to be upgraded from a dark room on the 2nd floor, they moved us to th 6th floor to a brighter room but this one was just as small. This hotel is over-rated and over-priced.

We stayed here on our trip because we were flying from the airport at the end of our stay. It was easier leaving our luggage there and picking them up just before departure. The train to the central station was convenient.

I stayed at the Hilton because of the special rate on offer thru Expedia. The hotel was much further then indiciated from the airport terminal and too far to walk with cases. The recepetion was not very welcoming and only interested in selling extra services. The internet was advertised as "available" but not clearly stated that it cost Euro 22,00 / […] day or Euro 27,00 for a business connection. The room was adequate but defintiely not 4 star. The towels were 2 star and the carpet was stained. I would stay again oinly when offered at special rates and if I needed a hotel close to the terminal. Read more

Location is good for airport access. We were flying out early the next morning so it helped to be close to the terminal. Be warned though, if you choose to walk to the terminal, not all of the walk is inside or even covered, unlike the Sheraton, which is entirely inside the terminal buildings. You have a short walk to the start of the airport buildings […] then a long walk inside to the actual terminal. The rooms are small, which is normal for hotels in mainland Europe, but the room was very clean. We arrived at 10am and even though check in was not till 3pm, they had our room ready for us within 45 mins. Breakfast is extremely expensive and did not start in time for our departure at 5am. We used the hotel shuttle as we had a lot of luggage and it only take 3-4 minutes to get to the terminal from the hotel (it is a small shuttle and they like to give priority to flight staff so we had to wait a couple of shuttles before there was room for us) Overall a pleasant experience, although the towels in the bathroom were not clean Read more

We stayed 5 nights in Amsterdam and moved to this hotel because our flight the next day left very early. The hotel is very convenient and we decided to walk with our luggage down the moving belts of the World Trade Building & Airport Parking Garage which is next store and connects directly into the Airport terminal. I booked this hotel because I was under the impression that it was attached to the airport. Well, it's really not. After one walks past the Sheraton, one has to take a lift to street level and cross a parking lot. It's not a massive sacrifice, but it's not really attached, either. And 27 euros for 24 hours Internet access? Come ON. Everywhere else […] in The Netherlands, I was able to access it free. Need a room at the airport, stay at the Sheraton. I stayed here mainly because of an early flight the next morning. Being able to walk from my hotel room to the check-in counter at the airport in under 10 min was extremely nice. Definitely recommend if you want those last few minutes of sleep before a long trans-Atlantic flight.

I've been in Schipol before and I've tried other hotels in the area, this is among the few really in the airport complex (just a couple of minutes walk). High standards, good quality clean rooms and a good bargain for the price you pay. This was so convenient, it was literally a 5 minute walk to the airport.
