Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix - Metro Center

Overall, loved our stay. Clean hotel, clean room, great staff, all room amenities in great condition. One of the perks of Homewood Suites is the weekday breakfasts and Monday - Thursday dinners. I have to say though, that the quality of each were vastly different. The breakfasts were decent and different each day, and the person responsible for food […] prep and service was great. I wish I could remember her name. She was very pleasant, always ready with a smile and a 'Good Morning!" The evening food and service,, however were less than mediocre. The food wasn't very good, though the salad bar was always fresh. They ran out of red wine two nights in a row. Compared to breakfast, dinner was incredibly disappointing. I hope management will see this and make an effort to improve things. The Homewood I use in Ohio brings food in from local eateries - this seems like a great solution to Phoenix Metrocenter's dinner problem. We stayed here with our 4 kids in a 1 bedroom suite for Spring training. The pool is small but clean & nice. Breakfast was great and dinner was even included M-Th. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with family. The staff were very friendly & accommodating.

Front desk and Buffet staff were excellant. Rooms were perfect sized and really enjoyed having the kitchen when we were too tired to go out. Usually takes one or two night to get used to the beds, but the beds here were the most comfortable I've had in a Hotel/Motel. Our only problem was with housekeeping. I worked for Embassy Suites and our policy is to never say no. Guest always comes first otherwise the room was free. On the day of check out, the housekeeper arrived at 8AM! Good size room, but the beds are double (not queen as stated). The water pressure of the shower was pretty weak. The time on the clock was an hour off, which confused us since we came to AZ from another state. Other than that, everything was good.

I loved breakfast and dinner served. The room we stayed was spacious and comfortable, clean and bright with a lot of sunlight. The first room had blood and fecal matter in the tub! The second room door wouldn't open... The 3second room looked great minus the scibble on the note pad sayin "injooe uur stae" (enjoy your stay?) come to find out that when i finaly relaxed n got in the bedit was totaly lopsided. The price and services at this hotel were great. Midweek, I had dinner (OK, sandwiches and salad, but beer on tap and wine too!), and a nice hot breakfast the next morning. The only negative was, I was on a no-smoking floor, but the hotel itself did smell somewhat smokey. Great value!

This place was centrally located in the Phoenix metro area, so it made it easy to travel to all of our destinations that day. The room was clean, the breakfast was "decent" (they burned the fake eggs), the pool looked well maintained, and the staff was really nice and helpful. I'd stay here again and again on future visits to the Phoenix area.

I love this hotel, normally. But this trip, I was stuck in a smoking room, of course, on a smoking floor. The hallways reeked of cigar smoke, and the odor permeated into my room. The room also stunk like an ashtray. It was clean, but you just can't get rid of that stink without serious effort. I asked the staff to try to get rid of the smell, and they […] put some sort of ioniziing machine in the room - that didn't work. I asked for some carpet spray or something, and they ended up giving me a tiny bottle of Febreeze, which worked a little. I decided to buy myself a bottle of Febreeze, and used it daily afterward. It helped a little. I knew the risk (booked without the ability to select non-smoking) of booking so late. I just hoped I'd get a non-smoking room. If I'd been in a non-smoking room, it would have been a perfect place to stay. Read more
