It is a simple, clean room with basic amenities. Rooms are small. The hotel is walking distance to city center, restaurants, shops and the canal. The location is great.

The hotel is very close to the train station so it is an easy walk with luggage. The wifi worked better here than any where else we stayed on our trip. We had an end room had a slanted roof and a nice skylight over the bed and in the bathroom. Our room was comfortable for two. Not as big as an American hotel, but none of them are. We were traveling with bikes and the staff were very helpful arranging for storage of the bikes. The hotel is centrally located allowing us to walk to the "Old Town" and pretty much anywhere we wanted to go in Annecy. There is parking there but you need to reserve a spot ahead of time. There is also public parking nearby but twice the price of the hotel […] parking. The bed was king sized and very comfortable. Bathroom was newly renovated and the shower worked very well. Breakfast was generous with lots of choices including cheeses, yogurt, soft-cooked eggs, croissants, baguettes, cereal, juice, fruit, etc. We would stay there again if visiting Annecy. Read more

Nice hotel. The room was as expected, with a sloped ceiling. We felt a bit like we were staying in an attic (which I guess we were). But otherwise a very nice experience and very pleasant staff. A short walk to the center of town.

Traveled through the area with a friend and we had one day for Annecy. Allobroges Hotel is close to the lake and the old town, yet it is set back from a main street and therefore quiet--except if someone is chatting outside your window late at night. 24-hour attendance is great. Breakfast was plentiful and inexpensive. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights during high season and everything about the hotel was excellent. The room was immaculately clean and well-appointed. (Small, but this is Europe...) The location, to me, was ideal--an easy walk to the Old Town, but far enough out that the area around the hotel was quiet and uncrowded. And it's so, so convenient to the train […] station, which meant we didn't have to lug our bags very far. As it was August, I'll also note that the air conditioning in the rooms worked really well. It was one of the few places on this trip when we actually felt cool! But what's most memorable was the service. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from finding a already ready room when we arrived to check in early, to arranging everything in advance for our 4 am checkout so we could walk right out the door. My husband went to the front desk late one night in search of a corkscrew, and came back to the room with the opened bottle of wine, on ice, with wine glasses, all prepared for him by the front desk clerk. The room was very small (for the price), but clean and had some cute features light a window on the ceiling which opened for fresh air and had a built in blind that totally blocked sunlight. The bathroom was nice and small . Well, that was it for the room. The elevator only went to the 3rd floor, so if you're on the 4th floor, prepared to carry your […] luggage up the stairs to the 4th floor. There is no restaurant at night, but there are a lot of restaurants in the local area. There was a great French restaurant only 20 meters from the hotel! Hotel Allobroges is warm and inviting, especially for a tired business traveler. The accomodations are classy, clean, and enjoyable with enough closet space for several weeks winter clothes, if you happen to be traveling during colder weather. Modern, refurbished, great location, clean, check-in. Nice room in the eaves. The downsides were: towels really thin, and no headed towel rail, only a blow heater in the bathroom which was noisy. No minibar for chilling drinks, and no tea/coffee in the room which I would have expected for an otherwise good hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have had no had adverse comments in the past. It's in the centre of town, high quality throughout and reasonably priced. However the the gentleman on reception during the day could do with his people skills honing. The wifi in the room I had this time was unreliable with frequent dropouts. It worked fine in […] reception and as far as he was concerned it was ok in the rest of the hotel therefore it must be my fault. The hotel is small but clean and pleasant. Room was compact but ok for a short stay. There were renovations occuring around the entrance lobby so some facities were not available. The location is very convienet particualrly if arriving by train or bus, and only a very short walk to the old town centre. Staff were not particualrly helpful.

We chose Annecy as the place to stay before trying to find Geneva Airport's French side to return a hire car (a mind-boggling exercise). The Allobroges Hotel made it worthwhile - close to the old town and lake, snug, with off-street parking and a fine breakfast. Why Geneva? Easyjet has a super-cheap flight to Crete from there. Simple!

Just a few minutes level walk from the station (turn left on same street) this is a quiet, unpretentious hotel with comfortable air conditioned rooms of reasonable size for France. Near Annecy Train station. Our room is on the fourth floor, but the lift can only reach third floor. Quite hard to take my heavy luggage and walk upstairs. Besides, WIFI can't be accessed, no matter on fourth floor or hotel lobby.

Annecy is a stunningly beautiful little town. The hotel was pretty comfortable and very well-located, 3-min walking distance to the train station and 5 min walk to the old town. The blonde receptionist on Saturday and Sunday was charming and quite helpful. However, the brunette at reception on weekdays was rather brusque and off-hand.

War sehr zweckmässig, alles gut zu Fuss zu erreichen.Nett, übersichtlich und ruhig. Einzig die Einrichtung zum Aufhängen für Kleider, war in unserem Dachzimmer nicht zu gebrauchen, da sie bodennah installiert ist und man daher knapp ein Hemd aufhängen kann, dass dann trotzdem auf den Boden schleift. Für eine Nacht allerdings nicht so schlimm.
